And you’re beyond reproach, EC, and comments without malice?
It’s about time some people started acting their age a little bit.
March 17, 2006 at 17:58 #69841i read your posts before you edited EC and i’m sure many others did so you’re only fooling yourself with the nice guy act probably you get more respect if you were honest
March 17, 2006 at 18:08 #69842who are the bullies EC?
March 17, 2006 at 18:11 #69843EC you said you edit your posts if they’re not spelt correctly is fair enough if you are consistent. However I notice you have a mistake in the post posted at 5:16PM where it reads BOSsupporters. You may wish to change that or you may get embarrassed.
Now I didn’t read what was said previously EC but MAYBE, just maybe I would take your side if I knew what was said. But editing your posts to Hello my name is EC isn’t doing you any favours.
March 17, 2006 at 18:14 #69844Theway some people spout off about BOS, the stick is deserved. Nothing against connections (MH always seems a nice fella) but Best Mate seemed to get even more stick than this hideously overrated animal
DJ. whats your problem? Monker didnt jump well but hardly disgraced himself. Didnt have so many supposed commentators droning on about him being "by far" the most talented and classiest horse in training blah blah either
Congrats to Mouse Morris though who has had some hard times i gather and always seems like a great bloke
March 17, 2006 at 18:19 #69848My father told me this story when I was a kid:
After Celtic won the European Cup in 1967, they were drawn to play an Argentinian team in the following season’s World Club Championship (or whatever it was called).
My father, though not a Celtic supporter, was supporting Celtic and was incensed by the dirty tricks used by the Argentinians.
One particular tactic angered him.
The Argentinians would work in pairs. One would kick or spit at a Celtic player behind the referee’s back.
As this was happening, one of his teammates would get the referee to turn around.
Of course, by the time the ref turned around, he had missed the initial incident, but saw the response of the celtic player, who now looked like the agressor.
My father’s view was that this was no way for honourable men to behave.
Now, EC likes to goad forum members and provoke a reaction. Then he goes back and removes his comments and accuses others of picking on him.
Yet, if you look at the posting history of the likes of Aiden or David B, who else are they making these types of comments to?
(though I, on the other hand, have argued with all and sundry in the last 3 years)
Personally, I think it’s laughable that EC thinks he’s king of the wind-ups when he’s the only one that’s gotten so upset that he ended up his ball home (twice) after these antics.

March 17, 2006 at 19:41 #69849Well I’m sorry EC but you’ve edited all your posts. Who am I to criticise though? What did you back EC?
March 17, 2006 at 19:46 #69850So why would you be upset with other forumites?
March 17, 2006 at 20:08 #69851I can’t look at the thread becuase you’ve edited yours out. What SteveDVG quoted wasn’t very nice though.
March 17, 2006 at 20:11 #69852stevedvg is spot on he’s a wind up artist and he’s still windng you up FSL i read his posts before he edited

My problem is when people use phrases like ‘hideously overrated’ about horses that have won eight Grade 1 races in their career. A quick look at those victories will show that on various occasions he has had Gold Cup winners and horses that finished placed trailing in his wake. I accept that he will never win a Gold Cup himself vecause he cannot operate at his optimum around Cheltenham.
That does not alter the fact though that on soft going when the emphasis on stamina rather than athletic jumping, Beef or Salmon the best chaser in training.
March 17, 2006 at 20:36 #69854He needs it soft and prefers a small field where things are not happening too quickly around him. Under those conditions he is top class but, for me, his lack of versatility stops him being a real champion.
March 17, 2006 at 20:41 #69855Cant recall any "classiest" and "most talented" (phrases heard this week..ted walshand all) in training that has been so comprehensively stuffed in the GC year after year…. (granted an ok 4th once)
It might not be his race but should have expected more
March 17, 2006 at 20:56 #69856So if War Of Attrition cannot beat BOS in small fields on soft ground…..does that not make him equally as limited or unflexable?
March 17, 2006 at 21:00 #69857No, because Cheltenham is like European Football. Away goals count double. Come on Aidan, get with it. :cheesy:
March 17, 2006 at 21:21 #69858Quote: from EC on 8:29 pm on Mar. 17, 2006[br]i think you will find my contributions to this board are as good as most mate.
just because I respond to people that want the board only posted on by their clique..I’d hold your judgement.
You don’t seem to mention the fact that the first person on this thread that posted a snidey comment was not myself..don’t get as biased and blinkered as the clique for goodness sakes
(Edited by EC at 8:32 pm on Mar. 17, 2006)

might take you serious if you didn’t edit everything you write to make everybody else look bad
March 17, 2006 at 21:25 #69859WOA can still improve and might just do that given the chance. BOS still far more liable to make a mistake or three
