Not one of the better ones Chaos but a win is a win hey?!! There is an interesting one entered next week. Sun Maiden is a half-brother to Midday and Hot Snap. Desperately hoping that one of his Hong Kong runners lines up next week as I’m out there for a couple of weeks…..

December 1, 2017 at 15:42 #1329695Yes, i agree with you Joni, she’s been very honest though. Sun Maiden runs on Tuesday at Wolverhampton in the 32Red Casino Fillies’ Novice Stakes. Have fun in Hong Kong, i envy you, hope you get to see one of his race.

December 4, 2017 at 14:05 #1330342Joni,
Good news for you. Simply Brilliant (formerly named Senator) is entered in Class 3 1,200m race in Shatin on Sunday.
He finished in 2nd place last time in Happy Valley.
December 4, 2017 at 14:36 #1330349That’s great news Patrick! Thanks for sharing. I’m staying at the Excelsior and loving every minute so far. I have bought my Octopus card and had delicious Chinese seafood at Tai Woo in Jaffe Street tonight. Can’t wait for Sunday and hope that Simply Brilliant can live up to his name!!

December 4, 2017 at 14:48 #1330351Hi Joni
Hope you are living it up at The Excelsior and don’t do what my husband did many years back when on a working visit to Hong Kong. He saw lots of dishes on the table and started tucking in until he realised that the hot pot of boiling water in the middle of the table was to cook it in. I don’t think drinking the hot water after helped cook the food in his stomach…but He thought it did!!!!So jelous that you will be seeing such great racing on a course that must be so different from all that we are used to here in the UK. Cheer on Simple Brilliant and enjoy every single minute.
Jac X

December 19, 2017 at 11:44 #1332978Don’t think I can watch a Frankel over hurdles so will be hoping he wins and look forward to seeing the replay when I get home from Christmas shopping, thanks for the heads up Chivers

Just to take to the opportunity to wish everyone a really Happy Christmas and New Year and looking forward to seeing the likes of Elarqam and Roaring Lion when I return to Newmarket for the Craven Meeting, somehow it always seems that much closer once we get into 2018. Look forward to seeing you there Joni.

One word, if you are planning on getting to the 2000 Guineas Newmarket to see Elarquam or Roaring Lion romp home
book your ticket early as last year it was Sold Out on the day and lots of parties including those holding Members Badges were split up as their guests cold not access the Members enclosure. Jac

December 19, 2017 at 14:33 #1333022Just really happy he got round unscathed, i’m like you Jac, would break my heart to see a Frankel fatally injured, it’s the reason i’m not into Jump racing, to many die.
