Cracksman won the Cartier award for best 3 year old

All comers, all ground, all beaten
November 19, 2017 at 10:17 #13275662 bits of Frankel news.
Over in Japan Signalize, a daughter of Wild Coco, won her second race impressively. You can see the replay on Jess Samy’s twitter feed @Frankel1313. Next stop could be the Group 1 that Soul Stirring won last year. What’s interesting about this one is that her dam was very much a middle-distance horse, winning Group races over a mile and six and finishing 2nd in the Prix Vermeille. Nice that her daughter is showing plenty of speed over 7f and a mile. She could be fascinating once stepped up in trip next year.
Secondly, the Racing Post reports that Frankel was the busiest British-based sire last year:
“Breeders evidently could not get enough of Frankel after his first two-year-olds ran and sent him 195 mares – the greatest patronage of any British-based sire this year.
That figure represented a significant increase on his book sizes after his first yearlings and foals were on the ground, with 130 mares in 2016 and 114 the year before that.”
So it’s all looking rosy in the garden!!

November 19, 2017 at 11:00 #1327575Hello Joni..just marking up my competition and saw your post.
What great news for all us Frankel fans, I’m definitely booking another visit to see him next year and they have a tour where you can combine it with visit John Godsden’s yard to see Enable and Cracksman although it is on the pricey side so will have to put that nicely to my other half as a Christmas present.Warm welcome to Chaos and what great news that Cracksman won best 3yo at the Cartier awards.
Looking forward to seeing him take all before him in 2018… roll on the Flat.

Had to scroll down a bit on the link but found the race and thank you Chaos..

What a looker Bronkel is, love his big white face and his action so reminiscent of Frankel big strides and just flying over the ground drawing further and further away from the field.
Poetry in motion.
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...November 26, 2017 at 01:52 #1328747Soul Stirring currently 14/1 on Paddy Power for the Japan Cup
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...November 26, 2017 at 10:53 #1328791Soul Stirring not quite good enough but Mozu Ascot made it 4 on the bounce with a very impressive turn of foot. https://twitter.com/Frankel1313

November 26, 2017 at 13:05 #1328822For some reason that link won’t play on my PC Joni, I’ll try it again later.
Think I’m going to have to re-visit my old Twitter account that Jess Samy sure puts out a lot of interesting information and replays.

Shame about Soul Stiring but when I saw the 14/1 thought it might be a tough call, still they can only try and the Frankels are breaking new ground wherever they turn out at the moment.
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...November 28, 2017 at 20:30 #1329265More info on Frankel’s record breaking start as a stallion from today’s Thoroughbred Daily News :
“The sensational Frankel (GB) is hot on the heels of New Approach’s tally of 28 black-type winners and is odds-on to become number two by this measure quite soon. With his oldest only three, Frankel’s strike rate is among the best ever, with 15.6% of his runners becoming black-type winners. More impressive is his ratio of group winners, which stands at 12.5%. After two years with runners, no stallion–not even his illustrious sire or grandsire–can match this fabulous strike rate. What’s more, the average Timeform rating of his best 10 horses (119) is higher than any second-season sire for the past 20 years. So, Frankel looks like the stallion to set the standard for other sons of Galileo and indeed stallions in general to follow.”
