The Frankel fillies were third and eleventh.
Soul Stirring was disappointing, though the soft ground probably didn’t suit.April 10, 2017 at 14:02 #1296370Yes she was disappointingly not really quickening like she had before. The two that finished in front of her she beat easily last time. Better news in France today where Middle East and Last Kingsom have completed a quick Frankel double. Be good if you can find a replay Stevie!!!

Soul Stirring was disappointing, though the soft ground probably didn’t suit. The report I read stated that they were 2nd and 3rd. Mind you they also said that Sigy Stakes winner Fas was a filly, when, in fact, he is a colt.
I do wish these people would try harder at getting their facts right.
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.

That’s the problem with Ze Turf, they don’t seem to leave the races up.
This is the video for Last Kingdom:-

This is Middle East getting home in a rough looking race where she was short of room at one stage:-

I haven’t had time to seriously review these two races. However they both seem to need to find a fair bit yet to hit top class and I like to see maiden winners stamp a good bit of authority over their field.
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
April 11, 2017 at 22:21 #1296488To be fair Steve, Middle East looked to have been short of room at EVERY stage! Thanks for sharing.

April 11, 2017 at 22:58 #1296491Thanks for the videos Steve..
Last Kingdom looked very impressive pulling away from his rivals and as Joni said Middle East was left short of room, after seemingly losing a good position, getting boxed in on the rails and then getting squeezed for room just as the jockey pressed the ‘Go’ button. When she did eventually see daylight she quickened up nicely to hold off the runner up.Two very nice performances
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...April 12, 2017 at 08:17 #1296501Richard Hannon runs TANGO FIRE (Frankel -Latin Love) (Danehill)
in the first race (1.50) Nottingham today.
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...April 12, 2017 at 08:18 #1296502Four Frankel’s in action today. Richard Hannon gives a debut to Tango Fire at Nottingham. Wishing Time and San Remo both run in handicaps at Catterick and Dundalk respectively. But the most exciting one to be running is Monarch’s Glen in a competitive looking race at Kempton tonight. He ran with promise twice last year and looks a decent stayer in the making. Fingers crossed for a couple more winners…..

April 12, 2017 at 19:52 #1296580Apparently Monarch’s Glen has absolutely hacked up. Would be great if someone could post a replay. I’m stuck in France missing all these Frankel winners!!!

Super impressive. I’ve been waiting for a Frankel to show a real turn of foot – the wait is over. Was very keen but he quickens away in a matter of strides and could have won by 7 lengths. Be very interesting to see where he goes next.

April 12, 2017 at 21:41 #1296587Monarch’s Glen looked very impressive when he hit top gear there. I’d like to see him more relaxed going forward but he looks well capable of climbing the tree this season. Very promising indeed.
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.

Just like watching Frankel Joni, that was a jaw dropping performance. This is shaping up to be a great year for our boy and his talented progeny they seem to be progressing above and beyond expectations this year and lots of top trainers must be scratching their heads wondering who they are going to send out to beat these talented individuals…exciting times ahead.

I did do my small Yankee on all four runners today it was just for £2 but returned me a tidy profit..if Tango Fire had won Paddy Power would probably have suspended my account.
Hope to see you next week Joni there’s a large Caramel Latte with extra cream and marshmallows with your name on it waiting in The Frankel Lounge X JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out... - AuthorPosts
