I fcukin hate and despise the McCanns
Understand you there David but in all honesty, thats not really an excuse for not letting them have the kid back….
The plot thickens with this ‘girl-in-the-drawer-of-a-bed’ business, now the mother is arrested.

Presumably Ms Matthews and extended family were paid handsomely (by their standards) for it…

If they want to make a film dramatisation of the Matthews case all they have to do is put a ginger wig on Joss Ackland and volia, Karen Matthews.
Now, I just could be wrong here but…I hope they all get what I think is coming to them. Pitty the poor child though. The s**t is going to hit the fan on this one I feel. Appalling people IMO.

Now no one get shirty with me as I’m criticising no forumites here but us wonderful lot excluded – people are horrible, I don’t like them, they are stupid, self centered and in some cases pure scum. A generalisation? Hmmm well maybe but after 34 years of living its a conclusion I have come to and I’m in no hurry to change from it.
Firstly the McCann’s – My god. The media arse licking really gets my goat. I don’t like either of these pair Kate or Gerry. Firstly and most importantly – You do NOT leave little kids on their own while you go jollying it up. Those two deserve everything they got, unfortunately the poor little kid had no say and is the real victim in the whole sage.
My view would be sneared at by several numpties who appear in the media, "Disgraceful after what these poor people have been through, should be ashamed of hisself" blah blah loada bllx blah!! Such people seriously want to get away from their bleeding hearted, wishy washy opinions. It was bad parenting that enabled this abduction, end of. If the McCann’s don’t blame themselves they should its not rocket science to realise you don’t leave little kids. Wake up, smell coffee, real world awaits.
Since then the McCann’s have done nothing but court publicity. Travelled all over the world, met the pope, been nominated for "Scot of the year" in Gerry’s case – What the ****? Mind boggles.
Now onto the Matthews case. One look at that lot and you can tell they’re not exactly what I would call ideal people. As soon as that story was broke I took one look at the boyfriend of Karen (is it?) and I said he had something to do with it. You can just tell by looking at him. Since then he’s been arrested for having pornographic images of kids – not surprised in the slightest. Of course as usual I was initially told by people "Don’t be ridiculous".
I must have a knack I suppose, either that or people just have absolutely no grasp of reality and cannot judge a character if their life depended on it.
The reason? Well IMO people are brought up to "look for the good" rather than to "accept realism and fact". Always look on the bright side, turn something into a positive. Start turning things you change things and the change is from realism to a hope.
The tragedy in both cases are the little children. How dare the Matthews clan use a little child for any "plot" its an absolute disgrace.
Two innocent little children victims because of awful parenting. Lets say it as it is.

At the end of the day wether it be Shannon from a typical working class background and a mum who has been round the block more times than a milkfloat or Maddie from a middle class background it is a simple case of very bad parenting and neglect.
Both cases have huge flaws in them but the media are more concerned about Maddy as she is from a middle class area with both parents working in the medical profession than Shannon because she has a mum who has 5 kids from 3 different men.
Karen Matthews has been busier than that Neil, 7 kids with 5 Dads. I’d imaging the last couple fell out. If the current boyfriend is an indicator of the calibre of rest of them I weep for them all.
As for the McCanns the only certainties in the case are that they left their kids alone and Madeleine wasn’t there when they got back. Quite why they are being feted around the globe while leaving their remaining kids in the care of others beggars belief. They should be ashamed of themselves spending the money other people donated to them on swanning around the place and their mortgage.7 from 5, still thats quite a lot to go through.
When all this has been sorted out though it could make into a nice feature film as nobody would believe it to be classed under fact and not fiction.
It is a real tragedy for the McCanns but their are other families out all over the world who suffer the same as they have.
As far as bad mothers go i think she is up their alongside people like Kerry Katona,Posh Spice whose kids dont seem to go to school at all and all mums whose kids kill adults then think it is a shock when the judge sends them down saying "He’s a nice boy really"…….beggars belief
Neil there are thousands of kids that go missing every year the treatment the McCanns are getting is quite frankly obscene. What makes them so special?
Its over a year now and yet practically every day they’re in the papers still.
No one can tell me they are not courting the publicity they’re getting.
As for the Matthews woman with all the kids from different blokes it just amazes me that that many blokes would actually do the deed with her.
Mind you looking at her boyfriend I doubt very much any of them are of any quality.

The ‘media has ignored Shannon’s disappearence: it’s a middleclass conspiracy’-notion surely is outdated now that: the case has dominated the news for ages; and its been exposed as a scheme (so is there anything wrong with concentrating more on a real kidnapping than a failed money-making scheme?).

Sorry but the majority of working-class women don’t have seven children by five different fathers. We’re all too busy starting brass-bands, etc.
