As much as I love the admirable grey, it will be disappointing for the quality if something is not good enough to beat him.

Yes it would be for sure, I completely agree, but it’s been a little like that all season this year. If Lord Glitters runs to form, then only Phoenix of Spain or TDH can beat him I think as the progressive 3yr olds improving past him.

It’s all about ZABEEL PRINCE at 22/1, looks a cracking ew bet in a race where probably every runner has some kind of question to answer.

Has raced over 10f at testing tracks the last twice in the prince of Wales and the eclipse. Didnt get home in those races and I’m glad to see him back at a mile today.

The last 2 runs can be excused and prior to that he had won 6 of his previous 9 races.
He was unraced as a 2yo and only had one run as a 3yo. Because he has been so lightly campaigned in his early years then he is a horse who can still improve again and he is already a group 1 winner this season.

He first ran at listed level at doncaster in March 2018, he won over 1 mile.
He then got thrown in at the deep end in the lockinge in 2018 and wasn’t ready for that challenge though sent off just 12/1.

He then appeared in a Newmarket group 2 and only Mustashry could beat him, won by a length, regal reality was way back in 3rd. Mustashry of course went onto win the 2019 lockinge.

Then has come our this season, won a group 3 first time out then went to france to win the group 1.

Forgive him his last 2 runs on account that he didnt stay throw him into one of the ropiest looking group 1s ever witnessed by man and it’s fair to say he could cause a surprise here.

Circus Maximus ew for me. Dunno if TDH is back to his best and 11-10 is short price to find out. CM supplemented again.

Yeah I’m getting the noose ready for if she wins hahaha

Only reason they can be backing her is that circus maximus is definitely going to go forward and set a very fast pace

Zabeel Prince could be made for this race. This is going to be an exciting race.

Yeah I noticed that. Need to watch it back a few times but On first impression one thing he isn’t is a miler. JG was right after Ascot and that was a JG/FD masterclass to get him to win that.

Please horse gods make Ten Sovereigns v TDH happen at Haydock!! Wow what a race that would be

Need to watch back too but impression i got was while he was snug having to wait to get a run. His class got him through that, and a stiff mile wouldn’t be ideal still. Breeders cup might suit, or back in trip.

TDH the pinup for the pro-whip folks. Can’t recall seeing a horse pick up so quickly for a smack in G1 company – found a length in no time, though it probably says as much about what he had in hand at the time.

TDH won with a bit more in hand than the winning margin. With a speedy miler they wouldn’t want to go two lengths past a staying miler Circus Maximus. Because the faster you go 3 or 2 out the more stamina comes in to play in the final furlong. Best not to press the button until inside the final furlong.

Can’t give TDH a high rating compared with previous Champion Milers, but probably better than he’s shown.

his speed helped over this mile at this track but over a stiff mile Circus Maximus may have come back at him again.

Yeah I’m not sure he’d have won if that was round Ascot again. Wasn’t expecting him to zoom 3 clear over a mile but still that was closer than I thought

Just an awesome ride by Frankie again, he’s absolutely on fire this year, a joy to watch him.

Think he would of won at Ascot personally without a trouble preparation
He cruised up to Circus Maximus that day but for whatever reason didn’t want to go through with it but did today. Gosden is more happier with him going into this and if today if the race was run at Ascot or the Curragh Too Darn Hot still wins for my money though do understand those saying not as he’s very keen for a mile. Like Steeplechasing said he accelerated for the smack and if the runner up had got near him think he’d have gone again. Frankie knew he’d won and was easy enough on him in the closing stages likewise Stradivarius and to a degree Enable.
