I’m a member of the 3 kildare tracks, punch curragh and naas, can’t make it today. Tooth out this morning and a hospital appointment in the afternoon. I did get word for one in the 5.15. Giant Eagle, apparently he’s been aimed at this race all season. Connections expect a good run and are very hopeful of a place. 14/1 earlier he’s now 12s with Paddy Powers and 10s with Boyles. Tips from this guy are rare but good.

Well done if you got the winner, i didnt!!
Not sure the form is worth much tho!
April 25, 2007 at 15:56 #54444Well done LGR and Doyley, who put up Kingscliff.
April 25, 2007 at 16:03 #54445Kingscliffe has been rejuvenated hasn’t he, he’s even looking genuine now.
Wait till I back him he’ll pull up at the first. ;)
April 25, 2007 at 16:15 #54446havent seen the race yet, but some biggis reputations put to the sword by two reasonable chasers?
Beefies last run?
whats the feeling about the disappointing In Compliance? at the present time I cant really see him as a player at the top level next season
April 25, 2007 at 16:27 #54447I thought In Compliance ran a decent race travelled well enough for most of the race possibly didn’t really get home.

Well done to LGR & Doyley.:)
Clivex
That’s probably as good as In Compliance is; beaten by two…..errmmm, handicappers.
Irish gd1’s, eh?
April 25, 2007 at 17:00 #54450That should get a response or two reet ;)
April 25, 2007 at 17:27 #54451LOL….The bloody cheek of you Reet Hard. :o
I USED to be a fan of Kingscliff, was sitting on a lovely ante post ticket when he was fav for the gold cup and got pulled out a few days beforehand. Despite todays performance I wouldn’t thrust him. Too many days when he just doesn’t want to know.
April 25, 2007 at 20:39 #54452well done to the winner neptune and ruby and owners i say, was great for him to win a decent race…….::biggrin:
April 25, 2007 at 21:41 #54453Champion Stayers hurdle tomorrow – Mighty Man has a penalty kick surely? Is there anything capable of giving him a race?

Not for me.
All his best form is on flat tracks; even his trainer says he isn’t the same horse on undulations. There could also be heavy rain tomorrow which would be against him.
Don’t you think though that Mighty Man could run ten pounds below his best tomorrow and still win? There’s nothing in the race with anything like his class except Brave Inca and he may stay but surely not well enough.
Even If Mighty Man runs to his Cheltenham form (you can’t get more undulating than there) he’ll win easily.
Just my view.
April 25, 2007 at 21:59 #54456He has to be Flash. I’m the self appointed chairman of the Brave Inca fan club but even I can’t see him beating Mighty Man. There doesn’t seem to be much else you could give a strong case for.
I’m always wary of hot favs that are hold up horses in these types of races.I think the fact that MM likes to race prominently, so not TOO dependant on something to make the pace is a big help to him.
Can anyone give any pointers to the first 2 legs of the Place Pot for me. I’m lost.
April 25, 2007 at 23:23 #54457The banker of the day today is easily Punjabi in the 3.30, though he’s unlikely to be much of a price (any odds against should be snapped up) and I will also be prepared to take Mighty Man on.
His annihilation of Black Jack Ketchum was, needless to say, impressive, but his previous two runs at Ascot (a hard fought victory over Lough Derg in particular), show that he’s no sure thing when conditions aren’t absolutely perfect.
United is interesting, having won with great ease here a couple of seasons ago and being a mare of some ability, but I quite like the chances of Essex. A top level handicapper over two miles, he has acquitted himself well against the best of that division. He returned from injury to win well over 2m 4f last time and should have no problem with the step up in trip having won over 2m on the flat.
Elsewhere on the card Siberion looks worthy of a few quid at 4.05.

I agree that Punjabi looks rock solid.
Gemini Lucy should also be a safe bet in the novice chase unless the heavens open.
Best advice for the placepot in the first 2 races? – cover as many horses as possible.:)
