Remember, fields are 24 maximum because of the silly tote.

And the take out is small, as you said.

I thought her debut run was a very good one up against colts and I would expect her to beat these today. Cape Amber is the one i’d be concerned about.

There has been an over-reaction to Dar Re Mi’s win imo.

There are two fillies in this race without a win (forget Sayyedati Symphony). This is what makes the Musidora a difficult one.

Moonstone is regarded as the Ballydoyle Oaks filly. Expensive and heavily supported in markets for that race and this.

Sovereign’s Honour has been beaten 6 1/2 and 7 1/2 by two horses whom she competes against for a second time here. Bookies are quickly shaving her price for today.

The Musidora trend demands a horse that rates higher than both of these two. The remainder of the Musidora field can win trend-wise. These two cannot.

Cape Amber to win. Process of elimination the reason. Cannot find the video however. :-(

    Couldn’t agree more.
It was a weak 1000 Guineas IMO, but Lush Lashes looks a bit better than her finishing position and shapes up like 10f will suit. That is form in a different ball park to anything else on offer in the race and I think she’ll take all the beating today.

Won by more than 5 lengths going clear, absolutely brilliant, the surface was gd-fm, but still hard to see her getting beaten at 1m4f after that.

Delighted with Cape Amber’s run. Lush Lashes got first run today and had already had a run. Over an extra couple of furlongs with the ring rust gone I think Cape Amber has a big chance in the Oaks. Lush Lashes a worthy favourite however.

Good call by several people on here.

Moonstone was bumped and green and should do quite a bit better than this again. But there was only one horse who mattered today.

With the step up to twelve furlongs likely to bring about further improvement, I can’t see Cape Amber getting anywhere near Lush Lashes at Epsom.

I don’t know what race John Francome was watching when he said they went too quick early on, as both Dar Re Mi and Lush Lashes were pulling quite hard, but it’s hard to fault the winner. A decent pace in the Oaks and she’s home.

As for the 1000 Guineas form I think this performance gives it a much-needed boost, though it wasn’t that bad to begin with (certainly not as bad as people are making out). Through Modern Look, who didn’t handle the quicker ground when fourth to Zarkava, Natagora isn’t all that far behind the Aga Khan filly, and the ‘bunching’ in behind comprised some talented animals – Spacious, Infallible (when dropped in trip) and Nahoodh.

What price the horse is now sold to Sheikh Mohammed or Princess Haya?

Phew, just realised there were 8 runners so I have managed to stem some of the financial bleeding at Mycenean Towers! I still wish changes in tactics would be announced beforehand to give punters the option of factoring this in. There is little doubt Dar Re Mi would struggle to beat a filly like Lush Lashes for toe given a false pace.

Anyway, what is it with Irish trainers like Weld and Bolger avoiding Epsom all of a sudden. They reckon Lush Lashes will avoid Epsom in favour of the Curragh. Not particularly sporting, coming hot on the heels of the Chines White defection.

Awful IMO, I hate people who belittle our classics. They are taking all the romance out of the sport.

    SEND THEM TO EPSOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is no romance in top flight flat racing, its all about breeding.

Just casue they aint going to Epsom doesnt mean they are belittling the classics, it’s Irish Trained so makes sense if not going to handle Epsom to win your Home Classic

She’s into 11/4, 9/4 in places for the Oaks after that.
