It was fantastic to see you again too Jac. You’re even lovelier and bubblier in the flesh than you are on here! Hi to everyone at TRF. Having a quiet season but enjoying the racing other than Inspiral yesterday. She ran really flat didn’t she. I’m sure that’s not her true running and hopefully she’ll be back to her best next time. The ground was nasty yesterday with real jar in it and I just don’t think she enjoyed herself. She was in trouble some way out..
By the way, if you fancy a laugh, I should be on The Opening Show this morning at 9.30am on ITV4. They interviewed me and the kids yesterday about what racing could be doing to encourage more people to the track.
Keep up the good work on DLAP’s and best of luck to everyone for the rest of the season.
"this perfect mix of poetry and destruction, this glory of rhythm, power and majesty: the undisputed champion of the world!!!"
July 9, 2022 at 09:07 #1606164Jonny that’s very kind .. I think all my ‘bubble’ is stored in a charging point somewhere at Newmarket and I have to refuel more often than I used to..

Hope you’ve got the Opening show on ‘record’ and that your interview goes live this morning..you are certainly encouraging your children to appreciate all that ‘going racing’ has to offer.
Good luck today and once again it was lovely meeting up yesterday.
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...July 9, 2022 at 09:31 #1606182I’ve completely made a horlicks of this week. My head has been in a total spin.
I’ve missed my golf, and I had worked out from Thursday that despite having used
2 swaps that over the 4 days there were enough group races, with realistic chances,
to fill a full swap. Completely missed Thursday, and as Jac has confirmed there
were 600 point staring you in the face. Friday I had to head up to Hamilton, so on
the ferry I checked what was left and reckoned it was still worth a shout including
Mawj yesterday (Thursday/Friday that’s 1000 points).Phone died and that was lost, so the question is, is it still worth taking what’s
left of the weekend’s, decent points on offer, not quite filling the 10 and stick
in 2 or 3 ante post Group races. If the blues go to plan I reckon it just about
justifies it, but if they run like they had a full fry-up this morning it’s a
swap down the dain. I’m in a quandry
July 9, 2022 at 10:17 #1606188I’m going to put +1 on and see Joni and the kids getting interviewed. Joni will get more people interested in horse racing than Jermaine Jenas for sure because unlike Jermaine, Joni has a passion for the sport.
Jac, I can tell you that deaf Jon is still alive as I spoke to him via phone one day last week. He got a bit paranoid during lockdown and I have invited him a few times out but I get the impression that he is a little over worried about covid. Nothing wrong with that as it’s good to be cautious and sensible especially at his age and my health history but it is a shame I can’t tempt him out to a quiet meeting at Newton Abbot where there is room to keep away from the busy crowd and still enjoy the day

July 9, 2022 at 10:28 #1606194Good luck in the daylight cup today Jac,
Newmarket is 100% on my list of things to do. The price of fuel is a big no for me at the moment. I have even got Alex walking home from his drama club which is a good 45 minute walk. I can afford it but refuse to drive any more than I have to and also better for the environment and Alex needs the exercise with sports day coming up.
I did smile at reading how bubbly you are Jac. I’m the same when I go to watch the cricket at Somerset. Its like a second home feeling although I haven’t been for a while its better than any medicineGaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
July 9, 2022 at 13:38 #1606239If it helps Graham, I used a swap on my Godolphin stable last night. I missed the group winners Thurs/Fri – but rolled the dice on what’s left. I think I have six or seven running this weekend. Hopefully I’ll find a few winners amongst them. It sounds like you’ve had a rough week – hopefully you’ll be holding Alexander soon and that will make everything better.
I also smiled at how bubbly you are Jac – I totally understand that, with you being at your happy place.
Good Luck Everyone!
July 9, 2022 at 15:15 #1606254Best of luck with your swap Andre, I’ve taken the cowards way out and
just let it run. At least I’ve got Creative Force in the Darley July
Cup.Good luck today in the Daylight Cup Jac, we’re all rooting for you
July 9, 2022 at 15:47 #1606265Graham..don’t worry it’s a bad case of ‘new baby brain’..all that anticipation and excitement, everything else goes on the back burner.
but the focus will return.
When to swap Godolphin stables is a bit of a lottery and Modern News isn’t running today but sure they will find an alternative race for him soon.
Just seen Victory Dance gain points for being 2nd in the Superlative and hope you both have him in your new stables.
Nathan..Did you catch Jonny’s bite size interview on the Opening Show? He was spot on ..it certainly makes a difference when you can bring children in for free. The entrance fee was £49.00 yesterday for Premier Enclosure that along with petrol has to be factored in for how many days of the meeting you can afford to attend.
The Annual Membership is worth taking up if you attend on a regular basis but the cost of fuel is even stopping Members going every day of a Meeting.Glad to hear that ‘Deaf John’ is still on the scene and you can’t blame him for being careful about covid.
Andre hope the swap is going well
I will update the Leaderboard on Monday but don’t worry you can update your score here anytime.
After Creative Force and Naval Crown run today I will have used all my 10 chances and they have mainly been fruitful apart from the Hurricane. Thanks for all the good wishes for the Daylight, my first horse Intellogent runs in 20 minutes. I think my opponent has already had a winner and Naps Perfect Power so am up against it.
Fingers well and truly crossed. I have made a jug of Pimms to help me keep bubbling if it all goes pear shaped.

Fingers crossed for the July Cup and Creative Force who is my Nap today in the comps, everyone seems to be going for Perfect Power so I”m having to be hopeful he runs well, I’m 100% with him.

Off to have an EW on Jumby in the Bunbury..he loves Newmarket.
Good luck with Ropey Guest Andre
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...July 9, 2022 at 16:21 #1606285Ropey Guest ran a cracking race, just got beat by a flying Bless Him. RG always seems to find one to good, but I think he has a big race in him. The rest of my comp picks have gone down as usual
A nice third for Jumby EW.I do have Victory Dance in my updated Godolphin stable, along with Creative Force and Naval Crown. Disappointed that Modern News is a NR. Nothing wrong with waiting Graham – there’s still plenty of time to use swaps.
Going racing is not a cheap day out anymore.
I saw Intellogent finished a close third. Hopefully Creative Force gets the win for you Jac.
July 9, 2022 at 16:37 #1606293Well what a turn up the amazing Alchhol Free wins the July Cup at 14/1 in terrific style. Naval Crown and Creative Force not disgraced in 2nd and 4th.
400 points earned for Naval Crown in the compy.
How disappointing was Perfect Power.
Just Dancinginthewoods 5.15 York left in my 4PP and 3 horses, a true calvary charge but he was eyecatching on his last run.

Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...July 9, 2022 at 17:22 #1606305Not even a mention
So 6 points in 4PP but close with Grey Desire 14 points for next time so still have a small chance.
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...July 10, 2022 at 13:02 #1606410Jac – you are still in the 4PP with a decent chance. 8 pts down at the half-way point – you can do this!
Four of my Godolphin horses scored points yesterday, but no winners! Nations Pride (400), Naval Crown (400), Victory Dance (300) & With The Moonlight (400). I’m currently on 6,670 pts and 291st – with 3 swaps remaining and two runners in France today. A little more respectable at least.
Hope everyone is enjoying a good Sunday – anxiously awaiting a grand-baby update from Graham.
Stay Safe Everyone!
July 10, 2022 at 16:19 #1606440Thanks Andre
I think I got lucky there as most of the players had their Naps in the July Cup including me and we all went down with not even a place to help out.Well done with your Godolphin stable swap and update us on how your french runners faired.
I was very pleased with my swap and still have Coroebus for whenever he makes an appearances, I’m thinking it may be Goodwood but don’t want him running into Baaeed or even Alcohol Free the form she’s in. Didn’t we all give ourselves a big kick after she had romped home, so much hype over the unplaced favourite Soumillion could only blame the ground.

I scored 2050 points from 7 runners in my stable.
2 x unplaced and Coroebus left to run but not sure where.I am on
7400 Points
217th position
3 swaps remainingHope everyone else is doing well in this very difficult competition where it seems that as soon as you move forward after a few more international or European Group winners you are backpeddling again.
More bonus races eould be the answer to give a boost to anyone on low points. Will update Leaderboard tomorrow and as I said esrlier there is no rush. I think we are all fairly close.
Thinking of you Graham & Marjorie for your big meeting with your new grandson tomorrow.

Hope everyone is enjoying the lovely weather.🌞🌞🔥 bit of a heatwave coming here in the South. Jac

he is so very posh, isn’t he.?
Love him…

July 10, 2022 at 17:49 #1606445Jonny can dine out on that now for the rest of the season🍾🥂Nathan .. he’s great company and he knows his horses but think he was focusing on giving the kids a good racing experience on Friday.
I’ll certainly be looking out for that beautifully bred colt. I remember Date With Destiny so well and lets hope Classic takes after his Granddamsire ‘Gorgeous George’.
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...July 11, 2022 at 12:08 #1606497Hope everyone is doing well as we start another week!
Both of my French runners in the Godolphin comp are “still running” – so I’m still on 6,670pts and 291st (3 swaps remain). This comp is a struggle as we all (of course) gravitate to similar horses. Timing of swaps and any bonus races make a difference.
Next up Glorious Goodwood in a couple of weeks.
Can’t wait to hear about baby Alexander Graham!!
Stay Safe Everyone!
