That’s great news Graham! So glad Marjorie is out of the hospital and back with you,
I can just imagine how very happy you were to see her. Now you both need to just get 100% better. Very happy for you mate. It’s currently minus 22 centigrade here, with a wind chill of minus 36 centigrade. Brutally cold.
Looking forward to plenty of good racing next week – hoping that several of my TTF horses get a run.
Take good care everyone!
December 23, 2022 at 15:47 #1627870Many thanks all, I’m feeling so much better this morning.
It could be I’ve finished my antibiotocs, but I think Marjorie
being home has alot to do it. Looking forward to seeing one of
my TTF, L’Hommme Press run in the King George.Good God Andre, and I thought Scotland was bad
Keeps indoors and warm out of that. Goodluck with your ttf,
runners, you’re doing great.Have a great (and healthy) one guys

That is great news Sam and great to have you back with us. I posted my thoughts on your Thread a short while ago and looking forward to Meydan Thursdays starting again after Christmas taking us up to the Dubai World Cup.
Graham …so pleased to hear that you feel so much better now and that Marjorie is back by your side, what a roller coaster ride you have both had this past fortnight.
Enjoy the racing on Boxing Day and best of luck with L”Homme Presse.🐎🐎Andre… I’ve just been hearing on the news about the Arctic Storm hitting America and can’t imagine how cold -22 degrees must feel. I remember watching a film of that name with Sigourney Weaver it was pretty scary.
Please take care and keep warm..Jac xThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...December 23, 2022 at 23:15 #1627918No racing in the UK tomorrow but how about..
12.45 – Sharjah
AL HADEER – ridden by Dane O”NeilBy War Front out of a Halling mare.
Al Hadeer has been a comfortable winner over course and distance last October and no reason why he couldn’t do a repeat performance tomorrow.
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...December 24, 2022 at 00:57 #1627937Nice one triptych.
Burnt the midnight oil for this one!
The last race on the card in Hong Kong is a class 2.
SHA TIN 9.45
KEEFY
win
Won a class one here in November by 3.75 lengths for a career best when rated 88.
Up to 100 now which puts him on a par with the top weights here. Lightly raced and won a class 3 here earlier. Drawn high but has won from both extremes. Likes to run in into the centre of the course and if fit and ready after a month off, likely hard to beat.
Racing weight interesting as seven kilos lower than Nov 27 th.December 24, 2022 at 02:20 #1627942Best of luck with Keefy Sam. He certainly runs well on the course and you have researched him well.
I know nothing about racing in Sha Tin but I will most definitely be cheering him home for you..
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...December 24, 2022 at 08:24 #1627949You and me both!
But it does fascinate me as the standards are very high.
SHA TIN
8.35
IVY LEAGUE
Each way
His last two runs for Ballydoyle were in group 1s Chantilly and in the Irish 2000 guineas.
Unplaced over 7 f on debut in Hong Kong.
Has only run once over the trip previously on debut when sixth in a 20:runner maiden.
Two wins at a mile in Ireland on turf and the all weather.
Ridden today by Harry Bentley over 7 f again but does have the benefit of a run now.
Will be seen to better effect when going over a mile with a few more runs behind.
But from stall 1 will be a huge price and the drop in class, may get into a place. Group rating 107 and has kept very good company. Rated 80 has won off 84.The ratings are very different in Hong Kong though and there is a Hugh emphasis on racing weights.
*****
Unplaced but prominent early doors. Does need the mile. Will be better several runs down the track and worth monitoring future runs.
Very much hope though that KEEFY can run well at 9.45….
***********
KEEFY
Unplaced and not put into the race stayed behind runners and got caught behind a walk when running on. Stall 13 and the nine pound penalty told but stall 1 benefitted from KEEFY being unable to go through with his effort. That actually conforms to the Alexander system. So back to the drawing board merry Xmas one and all.December 24, 2022 at 14:02 #1627982Unlucky with Keefy Sam but he did have a few negatives weighing him down with this weight and draw. Think he did well to land 3rd place and must do better next time.

Lucky I couldn’t get a bet on at Sharjah where my horse Al Hadeer ran poorly, couldn’t watch it so I’ve no idea what happened.
Well that’s it until Boxing Day so all that’s left to say is to Sam and all the lovely posters who post here every year and are like extended family.
..have a very..
🎅🎄🎁🍾🥂
MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY & HEALTHY NEW YEAR
🎅🎄🎁🍾🥂
Enjoy the Boxing Day racing and competitions..
I’ll be recording it all as we have a houseful of 15 and doubt I’ll get anywhere near the TV or my mobile until they all leave around 10.00pm
Looking forward to it though.
Stay safe and warm.
Jac xThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...December 25, 2022 at 13:51 #1628042Well here it is merry Christmas, everybody’s havin…..ok enough of
that, I’ll leave it to Noddy. As you say Jac, it is like an extended
Family in here and I wish each and every one a very Special Christmas
and Wonderful New Year. As I’ve recently experienced, you never know
what’s round the corner. Cherish your loved ones whilst you can.A special word to Andre at this time of year, keep warm inside, it
looks terrifying outside with the weather there. A storm sounds scary
enough, but a bomb cyclone, what the heck is that, not good that’s for
sure.Stay safe everyone and all the best
December 26, 2022 at 12:41 #1628197Never a truer word Graham – you never know what life will throw at you from one day to the next, so hug your loved ones close and let them know you love them. We are an extended family here, which makes this thread special. Hope you and Marjorie are doing & feeling better.
The weather was horrendous, I didn’t leave the house for two days. We were lucky compared to some regions of the US, we had two or three inches of snow and bitter cold temps. In Buffalo – they are calling for four to six FEET of snow… think about that for a moment.
Today we’re having a heatwave hear
– it’s currently minus 7C!!All the excitement and anticipation for Christmas and it’s gone in a flash. Hopefully everyone had an enjoyable time with family and friends.
Plenty of fascinating racing today. Hopefully we can find a few winners in comps and for some bookie bashing!
Good Luck everyone and enjoy the racing!December 27, 2022 at 01:16 #1628379Hope you and Marjorie enjoyed your Christmas Graham and get to see your son and baby Alexander very soon. Glad you are both feeling much better.

Just surfacing after 2 days of having family round, it was a lovely Christmas celebration after last year when both Dave and my daughter Louise ended up in hospital..her little boy Oscar is 2 next month and he had the full attention of his cousins Jessica 10 and Emily 5 it was great to see them all together for the first time.

Andre glad to hear you are safe from the Artic Bomb and temps are rising.
I saw the frightening report from Buffalo tonight and they said people had perished just walking out of their homes and getting disorientated, the temps are as low as – 50 degrees I can’t possibly imagine how they are all coping and hope a thaw comes soon.I managed to find one winner today in the Select 3 horses comp Mum’s Tipple at 9/2
he hadn’t won for 27 races but it was Hannon and Levey turning him out on a course and distance that he had won over before that clinched it for me, he is a lovely horse.Stay safe and warm Andre and hope the freezing conditions stay away..Jac x
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...December 27, 2022 at 13:02 #1628425The havoc caused by the winter storm in and around Buffalo and many other places has just been brutal. I can’t even imagine how horrible it must be. Why you would even want or need to leave your house unless it was a dire emergency is beyond me. Emergency responders battling to save people, putting their own lives at risk. Just makes me very thankful that, other than the frigid cold, we didn’t get much snow. A warm up is on the way and we should get above freezing here before the end of the week!
Glad to hear you had a good Christmas Jac – seeing young children at Christmas is what it’s all about.
Lots of good racing yesterday. I found a winner in the Pick 3 with the lovely Paisley Park (& a winner in my reserves of course in Saint Roi). I also got some TTF points yesterday with two winners and with a couple more going today. I’m still quite a way off the front runners for now.
Hope everyone is doing well – Good Luck with any bets today!
December 27, 2022 at 13:11 #1628427Incredible some of the numbers you have over there Andre.. and quite right in your bafflement why people were leaving their house..
I had to leave my house on Christmas morning as had no cooking oil. Always something forgotten. My neighbour came to my rescue.
I was right in comparison when I told everyone it was mild when they were freezing over here.. the window cleaning wasn’t much fun for my fingers
Well done with your winners in the pick 3 guys.
I had no luck but did back Brentford Hope to finish 2nd…. He always finishes 2nd.
Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
December 27, 2022 at 14:04 #1628447We had a great Christmas Jac, not the one we planned, but great nonetheless. My
sister took care of us like we needed wrapped in cotton wool. Ross flew Eleni and
Alexander over to Eleni’s mother in Athens and had terrific photos of both Eleni,
with his hat on, and Alexander on his knee in the cockpit. What great memories to
look back on. an adventure for alexander, he even has a soft flying hat with
goggles attached to it (a kids one) he looked hysterical.Sounds like you had a bit of a do at Christmas Jac, put your feet up now and
recover from all the revelry.Keep the fire burning Andre, it sounds terrifying over there. It’s no wonder
so many poor souls fell to it. It might sound like you’re not in the worst
of the areas, but jees that’s still perishing. Despite allthat I hope you
had a great Christmas. That goes for all our Meydan family,I hope you all had a very merry Christmas.
To todays racing,I’ve hada couple on
Kempton 14.30 Funambule Sivola 11/1 Bet365
Edwardstoneis going to be hardtobeat but at the odds FS will run
his heart out.Welsh National. What a story it would make if Truckers Lodge (14) could win the
National with Freddie Gingell riding in the race in memory of his late mother
Kim Gingell. There wouldn’t be a dry eye in the house.Best of luck today everyone
December 27, 2022 at 16:55 #1628488You have a lovely sister Graham. I’m sure your son would have done a fly over for you if he was able but what a lovely story about Alexander and Elini in the cockpit with daddy flying the plane.

Truckers Lodge managed 4th in the Welsh National, that was a good result for the family.
I thought with Alexander’s flying antics in mind you might have had a small flutter on Flight Deck 10/1 who won the previous race Graham.
Facile Vega won for my TTF today and I have one bet at Wolverhampton tonight in the 8.00…
LIHOU .. WIN
AMOR DE MI VIDA ..EWReverse Forecast
Hope you got a few more winners today Andre and Graham..Sam’s Alexander System is going very well.

Not long until Meydan starts again January 6th.
Get those Stables sorted
Jac
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...December 27, 2022 at 19:32 #1628518Facile Vega won for my TTF stable, but Edwardstone let me down with a very uncustomary blunder.. I have two more going tomorrow at Leopardstown. I hope the 4th spot paid off for Truckers Lodge Graham. Good Luck with your reverse forecast Jac!
Great memories for Alexander flying in the cockpit with his dad and a lovely trip to Athens along with it.
Nathan – at least in some parts of the country they are calling it the storm of the century or even of all time. We’re supposed to get a heatwave over the weekend – it will get up to around 6 centigrade!
Take Care Everyone
PS Oh yes, another Godolphin comp. Where’s my lucky dart when I need it
December 28, 2022 at 00:56 #1628534Enjoy your heatwave Andre..brrrr
Stay indoors and keep warm and safe.
Such a shame that Edwardstone unseated but but Facile Vega ran another terrific race.
I have 3 horses going for me tomorrow ..
A Plus Tard
Galvin
and
Bob OlingerI would love to see Bob Olinger win the race for Henry De Bromhead in the race named after his dear late son Jack. Again not a dry eye in the house.
My forecast went down tonight but keep an eye on Corinthia Knight who could run well next time if allocated a low draw.

Best of luck tomorrow..Jac x
