NW you wouldn’t want to be my bag carrier if you saw the size of it…LOL

With regard to Wootton as Hein said he didn’t do that much in France and he will surely improve under Charlie Appleby with time but I don’t think it’s his time just yet.
Wootton won a Group 3 in April 2018 from odds on favourite Olmeda then subsequently got beaten by him in a Group 1 a month later. Seems to have run best on heavy or very soft going and has never run over the 1m1f distance, so for me that is too negative to back him to win, but no reason why he shouldn’t run into a place but with Godolphin running half the field there are still some good horses there to beat.
Dream Castle will be my Nap of the day at a backable price as I really like Thunder Snow and Blue Point for the other races and yet to look at the rest of the card. Dream Castle has just blossomed in Dubai and has never been better, I can see him running away with this. Both his wins having been over the distance and at Group 3 and Group 2 level so improving all the time. Hoping he will come over to the UK after Meydan and pick up some nice Group races as a 5yo.My EW bet in the race has to be First Contact who I believe is much better than the 20/1 quoted.
I’ve actually done a write up on his chances for the Lincoln on 30th March but now not too sure if he will be coming over for the race, I really hope he does. First Contact is a horse who can set off and make the pace and might be hard to catch if he does this. He was put in his place by Dream Castle but then followed up with a decent 3rd to Mythical Magic (Wootton 4th) a horse who he has beaten in France last September.Come on Dream Castle
and good luck everyone…Jac
DREAM CASTLE 2/1 NAP – Win

How exciting that you are in Dubai at the moment and visiting Meydan for Super Saturday. Are you staying at the Hotel? We have one night there and I would love to know if you are putting any bets on in the UK via the Internet as I believe it is dependant on being logged in to WiFi at the racecourse or hotel, without that I think you would need a Sheikh’s ransom.Good luck on the day and keep an eye on our Meydan Festival Thread if you need a few ideas of what to back, we have been following the Festival since it started in January with reasonable success each week, ups and downs, highs and lows but each week one or two of us has found some winners.

Have a great time and please come back to let us how you got on.
I know when I go it will just be a normal race day at Meydan but my husband, not being a racing enthusiast, will prefer the quieter day and I’m going to enjoy the challenge of trying to pick a winner.

Have a great time and back lots of winners…Jac
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...March 6, 2019 at 21:38 #1399979Thanks Hein for your good wishes, I doubt I will see Blue Point as I’m not going for Super Saturday I’ll be there for a normal raceday on Thursday 14th March, but if he is working out at the racetrack on Friday morning after the racenight I might get a glimpse of him, highly unlikely though.
Regarding Aircraft Carrier, I took 11/4 with Paddy Power tonight for his race at Chelmsford tomorrow, really excited about his chances although they have made Amade favourite only 1 tipster goes for him, 6 for Aircraft Carrier and 4 for Grey Britain.
Looking forward to the race and good luck.

I am able to place bets (I only use William Hill) using the app, when logged into the Hotel Wi-fi and have been doing so for the Cheltenham Festival. We’re staying at a different hotel near The Palm. I can see races available to bet on from Meydan both today’s races and the ante post Dubai Festival.
I will drop you a note after Super Saturday to let you know how’s it works when on site.
Thanks for the tips and I hope you have a fabulous trip too. How very exciting.
March 7, 2019 at 06:49 #1400030Thanks CNC that’s much appreciated, we don’t leave UK until Monday evening so lots of time and I look forward to your advice, I have a Paddy Power account set up.
Good luck with your Cheltenham bets I will be logging in to find out who’s winning there next week and hope you pick up a few hints from our Thread for Saturday… enjoy every moment..Jac

March 7, 2019 at 19:07 #1400112@Hein
Just seen Aircraft Carrier’s race Hein and it was a terrible ride by Queally you were right to have doubts, he used the whip much too much on the Horse too early and when he did start to make ground he had run out of legal usage
No excuses though I got that totally wrong Amade was a class act tonight.
When Martin Harley gets back in the saddle will give him one more chance to hopefully win the AW Marathon Championship. That was such a turnaround in form it’s hard to believe…Jac
Hope I was more right about Wootton than I was Aircraft Carrier NW
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...March 7, 2019 at 19:28 #1400114Yes indeed Jac, I must say Queally is a real wimp, he seems to not even know the basics of riding
But I’m not sure if he was the only one to blame, as the horse looked a complete different one compared to his previous race. The market knew it before, as he fell like a stone, and I’m glad to have stayed away from this.
Dream Castle will be a different story, at least the horse stands out, let’s hope that CS rides like a normal man and doesn’t show any of his antics
March 7, 2019 at 22:43 #1400135Glad you stayed away Hein
and yes AC was looking a difficult case for TQ. I just had a tenner on and it was a free bet from Paddy Power so not much lost but maybe the Horse was hurting somewhere, it really was a dreadful run and ride between the two of them
hurry back Martin Harley.Looking forward to seing Dream Castle on Saturday and hoping my Thunder Snow, Dream Castle, Blue Point treble comes in.
that will cheer us all up JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...March 8, 2019 at 16:47 #1400211Wootton was eye catching last time, considering opposing dream castle with him
Just want to thank you guys for putting me on to blue point for the al quoz (long time lurker) 3/1 looked a very juicy price after he cruised home last time, hopefully a smooth win for him tomorrow
March 8, 2019 at 17:48 #1400222Looks tasty tomorrow!!
I have backed four horses which is unusual for me as I usually back loads !!

1.10
Faatinah at 20/1 who is back over six furlongs after running over shorter for a year!! Blue Point should win this but isn’t my kind of price!
1.45
Ibn Malik at 11/1 whos is over a suitable trip and ran well last time.
2.20
Spotify at 11/2 who to me seems the danger to the favourite back over a mile and a half!
2.55
Nordic Lights at 16/1 which to me seems a huge price if Thunder Snow has any chinks on his first run since November!!
Good Luck Guys and Girls
March 8, 2019 at 18:23 #1400228just the one bet for me, as I said earlier 4/1 EW Wootton.
Good luck all, don’t forget it’s an early start tomorrow
March 8, 2019 at 21:40 #1400255All my selections need no introduction they are all top class and sadly short priced
but should take all the beating..
I’ve done a Yankee on the following and win and each way my last two including a rev.forecast.Good luck NW with Wootton and also Final Furlong if you go with him.
Raymo..good luck with your big price choices, wish I was brave enough to back against the big boys my best price is 20/1 First Contact EW in the last but I really want him to come 2nd.1.10 .. Blue Point
2.20 .. Old Persian
2.55… Thunder Snow
3.40 .. DREAM CASTLE **NAP**
First Contact .. EW
Reverse forecast
I do believe First Contact is a better horse than his last run..guess I’ll find out tomorrow.
Best of luck…not long now..Jac
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...March 8, 2019 at 21:58 #1400258Had a little go on wootton, would kick myself if I didn’t after the run last time
Main interest is watching blue point looking forward to the al quoz
But nothing major with cheltenham on the horizon
March 9, 2019 at 12:55 #1400337How good did DIVINE IMAGE look there WOW!! and good price 9/4
March 9, 2019 at 13:23 #1400343Did it really nicely Raymo, nice to see Blue Point breeze through his prep,Hein you can come out from behind the sette
now. Treble on again for Jac, good luckMarch 9, 2019 at 14:35 #1400357Thanks NW, it was indeed impressive again. Blue Point is in his own league,
but at first he must really do it again and land the blow then. I wish those bloody 3 weeks will pass fast
Today I only played Old Persian, and I must say I got some cold sweat. The horse had a long break,
and no one else than William Buick would have won this race on him. He is the real grandmaster of Meydan,
William, I owe you something
The last race might be the most interesting one, I still rate Dream Castle the better horse, but I would never play this combo SBS (for me he belongs in jail) and Soumillon, so I will only watch and hopefully enjoy. - AuthorPosts
