Humidor looks to be weak in the market. I feel like a mug taking 8/1 but I should get best odds guaranteed if he does prevail. Looks a popular selections among us now I see. Here’s hoping! Off to bed now.
November 6, 2017 at 20:32 #1325493I think I’ve only ever had 2 bets on this race. One I canny remember and the other was Max Dynamite. For the past 3 years I have put on my alarm for 355 only to turn it off and go back to sleep. I can watch ATR on my phone now so nonexcuse not to press a couple of buttons and at least listen to the race.
I like a bit of a story and had this whittled down to 3. I’ve taken out Rekindling, I like his profile but no 3 year old has won this since 1941 and although a story in itself, it just doesn’t grab me enough.
Marcelo and Tiberian for me here. Marmelo with an English trainer and Hugh Bowman on board who is yet to win this race. He looks a versatile stayer with speed and stamina to play with. Tiberian was only a few lengths behind Vazirabad staying on over 15f as a 3 year old and has Olivier Peslier on board. First ever ride in this race.
Ultimately, not got a scooby as most of these have a tidy profile for this race with a lot of decent form to go on. Both to place would be lovely, that’s not too much to ask is it?
November 6, 2017 at 20:56 #1325500I wish you hadn’t mentioned Tiberian cause I’d just talked myself out of backing him….[and he’s got an awful draw].
November 6, 2017 at 21:10 #1325511Trainer reckons Almandin is a better horse this year, good enough for me! Could we see another Makybe Diva?
November 6, 2017 at 21:19 #1325513I wish you hadn’t mentioned Tiberian cause I’d just talked myself out of backing him….[and he’s got an awful draw].
Heartbreak City was drawn 23 last year. Beaten a head.
November 6, 2017 at 21:42 #1325518I did Nakeeta e/w at 33/1 and Thomas Hobson on the hooter at 18/1 just for something to watch.
Best of luck everyone.

Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
November 6, 2017 at 23:19 #1325535Note to self; I shouldn’t have backed any horse with no Australian prep run or with no Australian jockey. But I have. When they lose, I must copy and paste this and bring it out for next year.
November 6, 2017 at 23:32 #1325538Won’t be watching as not getting up until 6.30 tomorrow morning but will rely on Charles or Chivers to post up the result.
Hard to believe that all that excitement will be going on on the other side of the world while most of us are asleep but looking forward to seeing a replay off the action.
Good luck everyone..
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...November 6, 2017 at 23:35 #1325539I’ve always stayed up for this. When I was working they got used to me crawling into work half asleep!
November 7, 2017 at 00:33 #1325548Rekindling at 11s
Thomas Hobson at 18s
Wicklow Brave to finish top-6 at 8sAnd a small bet for Ventura Storm at 33s.
Good luck everyone!
November 7, 2017 at 02:34 #1325551Damn; change of jockey for Thomas Hobson [not sure what has happened] and he’s now drifting.
November 7, 2017 at 02:34 #1325552Just taken LIBRAN at 70s win 20s place with Bet365. I think
he’s got a real shout with his run at Randwick over 1m5f where he was finishing
best late on in his last but one race, and particularly with his run last time
out in the valuable Moonee Valley Gold Cup, where again he finished really well
without quite nailing the winner over 1m 4 1/2f. He’s never gone this distance,
but I think it could bring more out of him.I backed MAX DYNAMITE in this 2 years ago with Dettori on him. I
think he should have won then, I don’t think it was Frankie’s finest hour, so I
can’t not have afew quid on him at 15s, again with Bet365.I can’t believe I’m still up at this time, I’ve got a 7 hour drive back up north
in the morning
I know Moe will still be up, good luck to you Moe I know how much you love this
race
November 7, 2017 at 02:48 #1325553Best of luck all, I’ve gotta get my head down or I’ll be a danger on the roads
in the morning. I’ll have to watch the rerun on Youtube
November 7, 2017 at 03:18 #1325554Yep; still up BigG; flicking between oddschecker, here and facebook [somebody on one of the racing pages is there and putting up photos]. Lots of money going on the little filly that I backed a while back, but I think it’s sentimental bets. Have set the alarm just in case I nod off just before the race starts! Just going to light a candle in memory of Red….
November 7, 2017 at 03:28 #1325555Hanging on grimly for dear life here too
November 7, 2017 at 03:42 #1325556Damn; change of jockey for Thomas Hobson [not sure what has happened] and he’s now drifting.
The Magic Man fell is race four and has been stood down for the rest of the day. Ben Allen takes the ride on Thomas Hobson now.
November 7, 2017 at 04:12 #1325557Where are you Australia? Clean sweep 1-2-3 for Ireland and a career highlight for Joseph O’Brien as Rekindling does the business.
Well done to Rekindling backers and to the horse himself after running in early season Derby trials.
Ned Kelly, your boys took a hell of a beating.

Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
