Can’t remember which horse but she stated Hollie Doyle had a 100% record on it which later turned out to be 3 from 4.

March 29, 2025 at 19:23 #1725132I see Franceca has 40,000 X followers and 80,000 Instagram followers so she can’t be irking everybody!
I look forward to her Parade Ring commentaries this season which like Adele’s are usually interesting.

39,999 of which are Nathan’s alternative accounts.
The other is his real one.

March 29, 2025 at 20:38 #1725140A dog followed me up the shop this morning.

April 3, 2025 at 16:56 #1725641Possibly she’ll be more visible on Saturday, but Sam Quek’s role on ITV seemed quite low-key today.
April 3, 2025 at 17:05 #1725644Saw her twice, once at the beginning (do ITV like orange people) then at the second last in the G1 chase which was slightly embarrassing.

April 3, 2025 at 17:14 #1725647If that is what attracts people to the sport over watching the beast Gaelic Warrior making Grey Dawning look like a pony then they’ll never be attracted to the sport

April 3, 2025 at 21:01 #1725705Well I can’t wait to see her mingling with the crowd to talk about “fashion”… what a load of bo**ocks. First time in 50 odd years I am considering not watching the National coverage live but recording so I can fast forward over this sort of nonsense (will still probably switch to live for the race itself).
April 3, 2025 at 22:09 #1725728Racing has always been a social event and fashion does come into it. Much as I’ve always preferred NH racing, back in the day when I did like to occasionally dress up, the only time I could wear anything that I’d bought for, say, a wedding was if I went to the theatre or a flat meeting in summer. Mind you, I suppose it serves me right that the one and only time I’ve ever been to Newmarket was the worst weather I’ve ever encountered on a racecourse. Thunder, lightning and torrential rain. I’d’ve been much better off in my usual wax jacket and Ugg boots.
April 3, 2025 at 22:23 #1725730Supposed to be Ladies Day tomorrow so I would expect a more prominent showing for the orange one.

April 4, 2025 at 09:42 #1725794It sounds like Ms Quek has been sold a bit of a dud role. But in all honesty, what was she going to add? Even for a general audience, never mind racing enthusiasts.
She may well be a capable broadcaster but I suspect she is far more popular with the media classes than she is with the public (who don’t dislike her but are somewhat indifferent to her). Hence fan boys like Nick Luck, Dave Yates and Lee Mottershead becoming indignant at anyone who so much as dared to question her appointment (Luck gushing “She’s a great choice” like a besotted schoolboy was more than a little embarrassing).
A classic case of programme makers patronising their audience. Perhaps people watch “ITV Racing” because of the racing after all (the clue is in the title).
April 4, 2025 at 10:31 #1725803Dud role is probably spot on CAS. For some reason I have a dislike of her but if she adds something then fair play to her but I suspect she is going to be a fish out of water.

April 4, 2025 at 10:38 #1725806I do feel slightly sorry for her if she has in effect been given nothing worthwhile to do. But she didn’t have to accept the role.
There was so much drama on the track yesterday that anything non racing related was probably going to feel superfluous anyway.
April 4, 2025 at 15:59 #1725884Considering how many ‘presenters’ the programme already employs one has to question where and how she would fit in and what exactly was she going to be doing?
good luck to allApril 4, 2025 at 16:05 #1725888She just seems to be crowd mingling with Oli seemingly a bit like a 90s girl power throwback. Not sure her purpose outside the big meetings and I can’t really see a purpose in those her manner is hardly endearing.
The more I know the less I understand.
