A quick google search shows she is 61. I’m hoping to be “pensioned off” by this age.

Maybe with it being her last day before her 6 month summer break her mind wasn’t quite on the job.
Why would anyone think Thistle Ask was a mare but looked quite masculine? Very odd and two geldings out of the four she looked at in the 1.45 she described as fillies.
I do remember sometime ago she described a horse as looking really well in the paddock despite him/her being withdrawn 6 hours earlier.April 26, 2026 at 20:32 #1764956“ A quick google search shows she is 61. I’m hoping to be “pensioned off” by this age.”
My quick Google said Alice Plunkett is 52.

May 2, 2026 at 15:39 #1765670Certainly dressed better than Adele.
The more I know the less I understand.
May 2, 2026 at 17:03 #1765707I mean seriously, do you all realise how childish, sexist, and shallow you come across, bitching about how women on tv are dressed? Tedious.
May 2, 2026 at 17:08 #1765708Commenting on an individuals dress sense is not being sexist.

May 2, 2026 at 17:15 #1765717Well, as I’ve said before, I’m not very bright.
But women, like it or not, have spent far too long being judged on how they look. These people will have agonised about what to wear, knowing they’re going to be judged and go out hoping they look ok.
Men, on the other other hand, throw on a suit and call it good.
Whatever, I’m assuming you’re all adults and should know better. You’ll presumably have or have had, mothers, sisters, wives. Think how you’d feel to hear them pilloried in such a fashion.
And, childishly, maybe they wouldn’t be that impressed with your dress sense. You’re not being bitched about though.May 2, 2026 at 17:33 #1765725Bonanza I commented as I knew Hughsie would react , it wasn’t sexist just a comment in fun , maybe don’t take things so seriously , if you look at many threads you’ll see me and Hughsie poking fun at each other with I may add no malice

May 2, 2026 at 18:41 #1765742Heaven forbid that men look at women in a sexual manner… or vice versa.
None of us would be here if it didn’t happen.
May 2, 2026 at 18:49 #1765748Good grief. That’s neither what I said nor what I meant. Nothing like.
I took exception to what I assume, correctly or otherwise, to be grown men, bitching publicly about the dress sense of women in the public eye. Good dress sense being of course, subjective.
Whether it was meant as funny or not, it wasn’t nice, and I thought, in my innocence, it’s the kind of thing that’s just not necessary.May 2, 2026 at 18:57 #1765751“Good grief. That’s neither what I said nor what I meant. Nothing like.”
Fair enough. Apologies – I extrapolated your comments too far.

May 2, 2026 at 22:03 #1765780There have been several similar discussions on this forum and all have ended with the female being bullied into apologising and a comment along the lines of “calm down dear”. It’s a fine line between banter and abuse. If somebody in the target group is offended, that’s unacceptable, regardless of whether it was intended. We’re supposedly here to discuss racing!
