Heard about him alright Wallace. One second in Auteuil to his name. Another one for the Ricci’s
December 1, 2009 at 21:57 #261618Alavian owned by Thomas Barr!!!!!!!!
December 1, 2009 at 22:08 #261622Is he out soon?
December 1, 2009 at 22:09 #261623entry at clonmel on sunday
December 2, 2009 at 18:52 #261841Very fortunately didn’t get the chance to back Sweeps Hill. Obviously, better than that but given the way he jumped you wouldn’t be rushing to back him in the future. The weakness in the market didn’t suggest a great deal was expected but he should have been able to see off a 33/1 chance. Dunguib won well enough but with Sweeps Hill running poorly he has done no more than confirm the bumper form.
Not the best of days for AP – rarely seems to achieve a great deal when he travels over – Jered never travelled or jumped fluently for him and then touched off on Ninetieth Minute. Does that horse always carry his tail like that?

He does yeah. It just seems to be a quirk he has. Didn’t seem to stop him in the Coral Cup or at Thurles when he beat Solwhit.
Hopefully AP has better luck on Captain Cee Bee tomorrow. Sweeps Hill is just a bit of a thinker IMO – carries his head a bit high and has thrown his tail around under pressure, typical Montjeu really. Not much was expected of Jered anyway. Far too small to make a good chaser.
December 4, 2009 at 17:59 #262106Quinola Des Obeaux and Osana both out at Navan tomorrow.
Alaivan set to go over timber for the first time at Clonmel on Sunday.
December 5, 2009 at 18:16 #262314Pleased to see Magnanimity win despite not having anything on him. I am pretty sure he is better than the bare form. For the most part he raced too freely, didn’t jump fluently and was ridden for a change of pace which he doesn’t appear to possess. Unfortunately, he ended up having quite a hard race. Hopefully, connections may just see the light and put him away for the spring Festivals.
December 6, 2009 at 14:50 #262427Impressed with Start me Up today…thought he ran a cracker considering he couldnt jump.
San Adams also ran a great race on jumping debut…he is one to look foward to over the larger obstacles
December 10, 2009 at 14:16 #263170Alaivan out in the first at Gowran Park tomorrow Wallace.
Willie Mullins suffering a few more reversals today with Cadspeed and Drive On Regardless – possible problem in the yard? A few of them running below form so far this season and its the new additions to the yard that have been flying the flag.
December 10, 2009 at 14:18 #263171Mullins yard form perhaps better judged by how his reps go in the Barry & Sandra Kelly Memorial on Sunday, I reckon.
December 10, 2009 at 14:59 #263190Willie Mullins didnt lose on Cadspeed the jockey did….it happens
Drive on Regardless is useless so no surprise there.
It has been a slow start but wont be long till the engine is up and running.
For instance that Grade 1 on Sunday could easily be a 1-2 for him
December 10, 2009 at 15:09 #263197Townend didn’t cover himself in glory but the horse should have been easily good enough anyway.
I’d be just a bit wary of backing any of Willie’s over the next few days. He’s got exciting entries on Sunday but the only danger looks to be Shinrock Paddy and he was hardly convincing at Punchestown.
Bumper horse today is being well backed though.
December 10, 2009 at 15:11 #263198Cant say i am worried about the form of his horses.
More worried about where his stable stars are
December 10, 2009 at 15:16 #263202He was saying the other day that Cooldine was just a bit slow coming to hand at the moment and that’s why he missed the Durkan. Mikael D’Haguenet also a doubt to run at Christmas apparently.
Cousin Vinny holds entries for Sunday at Navan and at Clonmel next Thursday.
Who is likely to run for him on Sunday? Quel Esprit, Fionnegas, Rhyl Accord? I really liked Fionnegas down at Clonmel the last day. Looks a nice prospect.
December 10, 2009 at 15:51 #263208Fionnegas i assume.
December 10, 2009 at 16:28 #263215Jumbajukiba going over the sticks next week. Can he stay 2 miles?
