I was hoping you had backed Manguzi Graham what a great pick tbough.

John really did me a favour with that revelation about the rules and I decided to transfer in Dream Castle and D’bai today along with disappointing Bin Battuta and managed to get 800 points.
Now in position 637.With regards to the Bonus Race I would have thought if there was a non runner in the Bonus Race you could have option to change but guess the answer is just leave it until nearer the race in future.
I feel guilty for messing up on the timing of the competition I just thought it ran from Jan-Dec but it does make it even more exciting now we can use our transfers and build up a good Stable for the World Cup…
John I’m making you Hon.Secretary of the mini-league, can’t thank you enough for putting us and most especially me straight on the rules.
My son is always telling me to read the Manual of the things I buy and in this case it was the Rules and I can only offer my apologies for the misleading info at the start of the comp I really should have read those rules thoroughly before posting up the comp, but as Graham says lots of time to make those swaps and lots of great horses to come.Good luck to all for next week…Jac

600 pointsdon’t worry about the rules etc Jac
we all have the option of reading them ourselves
It’s just a friendly competition
can we pretend I transfer in all the winners and am standing at the top….
Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
January 24, 2019 at 22:45 #1393525I like your thinking on that strategy Nathan, I just wonder if they could build a winners podium
big enough for us all to fit on it
January 24, 2019 at 23:31 #1393535With my free transfer in as a result of Dubai Icon no longer in training, I swithered
between Blair House and Dream Castle, and plumped for the wrong one today. I’m not that
miffed, even although no points for 4th, he was running on strongly at the finish and
I think there are points ahead with him.So nothing for him or Bay Of Poets who also ran today, but D’bai got me 400 and Mythical
Madness got a further 300 PTS for 2nd. I’m currently on on 1220 PTS and in position 743.January 24, 2019 at 23:52 #1393539I am now 636th with 1340 pts if that helps any Jac
January 25, 2019 at 00:00 #1393540Thanks Nathan

I’ve just looked back on my emails last year and found one saying the second part of the Godolphin Fantasy League contest started 23rd April 2018 so that would have taken in the Guineas, Derby Royal Ascot and onward through the flat season..I must have joined when the Breeders Cup was taking place so maybe that was phase 3.
That also must explain why horses like Qorto and Wild Illusion weren’t available on the list to choose for our Stables.Final Score after the last race have me 40 points for Bin Battuta coming 3rd so final score…
1320 Points
651 Placed6 weeks until the World Cup on 9th March so lots of opportunities for big points..look forward to updating the Leaderboard next week and maybe hearing back from Cormack.
JacThanks for the points update Raymo…Just saw that as I posted…well done ✔✔
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...January 25, 2019 at 10:54 #1393567200 points from the bonus race but stable itself still to win a single point. 2041st if anyone’s interested!
January 25, 2019 at 11:15 #1393570Keep posting in those scores Tonge because you have lots of opportunity to change your stable in next 6 weeks and dramatic leaps up the leaderboard can be made.
If I had been playing as a single player and not have posted on here I would have been totally clueless of those rules until it was probably too late to get some points in but looking at it now I think as long as you have your main stable in play for World Cup day you can put in all your fancied horses each week.
Below your stable is a list of all the horses you have swapped out so you can reinstate at any time.

Well done with getting the Bonus points I was way out and shame about the non runner at the last minute..best of luck ..Jac
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...January 25, 2019 at 19:45 #1393635Of course. I will persist, no matter how hopeless! I played this game all last year and never got to grips with the rules. I even searched to try to find out when the “competitions” start and finish, without success and got caught out several times. Doesn’t matter. It’s still a bit of fun!
January 26, 2019 at 11:31 #1393754Agreed I think the rules are sketchy even when you take the time to read them they did not explain the swaps option in detail
We know this one ends 9th March with the World Cup and from last year’s email we can look out for phase 2 around middle of April.
Look forward to hearing how Cormack got on and whether we might have a mini league up and running for the next competition..

Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...January 28, 2019 at 01:41 #1394014No need to apologise Jac, I’m just grateful for your efforts pulling this one together
on top of all you do for the forum
I’m looking forward to the next carnival meeting on Thursday, I’ll definitely be making
a few changes in my stable, not that I’ll probably have the foggiest about who should get
recruited and who to fling oot
Good luck to our happy band, I think I’ll call us the joy of six
January 28, 2019 at 20:04 #1394102I have approached Godolphin about a prize and they got back asking for some additional info. If they don’t put something up then TRF will. Will let you know as soon as I know,
DavidJanuary 28, 2019 at 22:28 #1394111Many thanks for contacting Godolphin David that sounds great news and look forward to hearing that they have decided to put up a small prize for us and possibly considered setting up mini leagues for the next part of their competition.
As you can see we are all enjoying taking part in the Fantasy League albeit we’ve had a bit of trouble getting to grips with the rules
Hopefully that is all ironed out now and we will be encouraging some new players to join us.Will wait to hear back from you and thanks again David.
