Bit strange the way our positions in the league change, after the results are all in for the
Thursday race day. I was in position 417 at the end of play, but on checking today I see that
I’m now sitting at 423
It’s not worth updating the scoreboard Jac, it will all change again in 3 days, and it doesn’t
matter a hoot in any case

on Saturday 30th February is not included. Copied from the rules ………..i) The competition includes all races that the horses race in during the Dubai World Cup Carnival at Meydan Racecourse between the dates of Thursday, 3 January and Saturday, 9 March 2019 (Dubai World Cup Carnival meetings are on 3 Jan 2019, 10 Jan 2019, 17 Jan 2019, 24 Jan 2019, 31 Jan 2019, 7 Feb 2019, 14 Feb 2019, 21 Feb 2019, 28 Feb 2019 and 9 Mar 2019).
So, my take on that is that there are only 2 race days left in the competition, today
(Thursday 28th February) and Saturday 9th March. There may well be a follow up competition,
which does include the World Cup Competition on Saturday 30th March, but your swaps end on
9th March. That was what I was rambling on about before when you had mentioned the 2 dates in
March. So unless I’m a complete idiot, and many a time a case has been made for that, you should
swap your complete stable today and you’ve still got your swap for a week on Saturday.I do hope I’ve got that right

My problem is I’m not a great one for reading the rules, as you would know if you ever sat down to play Game Of Life with our family at Christmas or whenever we get together. Thoroughly enjoyable but chaotic. Anyway I’m off to make those swaps now and then, hopefully, have my First Team ready to swap in for Super Saturday on 9th March

Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...Thanks for that Big G. I gave up trying to fathom the rules of this competition some time ago. I already have quite a few of today’s runners in my stable (by sheer fluke) so will hold fire on swapping. I did note that you can swap up to 40 mins before a race so might try to have ago at swapping some halfway through the meeting on the 9th and see how that works (if at all).
We seem to be in general agreement with the bonus race. I’ve also gone Gold Fortune 1st & Burj 4th
Just swapped my whole stable around this week so fingers crossed for a few points.

I scored with Ispolini,Mountain Hunter,
and Desert Fire (place) putting me on 3340 points 611th but they haven’t yet given me any points for On The Warpath winning and Mubtasim 2nd so it looks like I might have to wait a while until the penny drops like yourself a couple of weeks back.Bruntland was going so well when he went badly wrong, heartbroken to hear he didn’t make it

is there. I had the 1,2,3 in the Group 3 race today, Ispolini, Red Galileo, Bin Battuta
for 600 points and also Mountain Hunter (1st) and Desert Fire (3rd). They have me down
for 4860 points and in position 333. That should change when they get round to adding
120 points for On The Warpath.As has been said by all on here, the whole day is marred by the tragic death of Brundtland.
My heart sank when I saw William Buick trying to pull him up quickly, it looked terrible
and so it proved to be. I hope he was put out of his misery quickly.Hopefully they’ll sort those points out in a few days Graham and I’ll update on Monday.

in places that I would never have looked before. I’ve never tuned into racing at Meydan before,
but I’m fair enjoying itWell done Jac and Tonge with your scores this week, I think we’ve done pretty darn well as a
group. I can’t claim a lot of shrewd placing yesterday getting the 1,2,3 in the only group
race on the day, there were only 4 Godolphin runners in it, and I took them all. It seemed
the best thing to do as it was the highest scoring race being the only group race on the day.The points are in now for On The Warpath, so that’s me on 4980 points and in position 322.
I’m pleased with that, it gets me onto page 7 of the leaderboard (Blue Wonders) which
isn’t bad considering there are 2,843 stables. I hope that after Cormack having a word in
their ear they have it set up for future competitions with a mini league section in place,
I think we could hold our own against anyone.One raceday to go, bring it on

so more than pleased with that.As you say as a team we are doing pretty well and would be up there in the mix
