A bad antepost race for me with Shutter Speed gone and Gracious Diana showing nothing.

No value in the favourite at all for me.

Question for anyone who can help me.. can you pay on the day Friday if anyone knows? I went last year for the oaks but I’d sorted it out in advance. Lonsdale enclosure.

You should be able to pay on the day

Just added a double, 7-2 Enable and 4-1 Cracksman to add to my inital Eminent for the derby bet.

50 on the nose pays over a grand :good:

    first leg landed :good:

Dramatic day and a decent result.
Alluringly landed the 20/1 ew element and the system figures threw up the first 3 on top, which I backed in combination f/casts and t/casts to small stakes.
I will put up the Derby figures later FWIW, though in contrast to the Oaks, where I liked the Chester form the Derby numbers produce a result I am not at all keen on.

Sorry missed that one judge well done :good: ..good luck with the second leg even though I will be cheering Eminent home that would still be a win win for you. The rain will definitely help Eminent.. :good: Jac

It makes you wonder what might have been had Shutter Speed run. She readily beat Enable last time and was always rumoured to be Gosden’s best 3YO filly this season. :good:

Makes her some sort of machine doesn’t it?!! Though I wonder if she would beat Enable over a mile and a half. Thanks to those who have thanked and good luck for that double tomorrow Judge!!!

Voleur – I think they must have been super confident that Rhododendron would stay and they didn’t want it to be a dawdle and for it to become tactical. They probably felt they had the best horse in the race. I see the time was super fast suggesting the ground was still fine even if the conditions were diabolical.

To be honest my backing of Enable was less of a tip and more a positive premonition of Nathaniel siring a classic winner. Obviously some modicum of form had to be analysed and approved and I thought her and Natavia had strong claims.

That said, I had more money on Journey in the coronation cup which in hindsight was a poor bet, a poor poor bet.
It’s nice to be dug out of a hole though with an oaks winner.

Although extremely happy with the outcome I couldn’t understand why Coolmore wanted to turn that into stamina test, bizarre

    Probably very good.
I don’t think they didn’t trust her here, but they want to win them both..

    Well done winners.

    3 things:
    1) What on earth was the rider on Pocketfullofdreams doing? With the favourite being a doubtful stayer, PFOD went to the front and I assumed she was to slow the race down. Instead she was sent off to make it feel like a 2m race. Madness tactically.

    2) Enabke looks a good filly in the making.

    3) I am absolutely gutted. I found Shutter Speed at 10/1 and the horse she beat so elegantly goes on to win the race Shutter Speed should have won. A real sickener for antepost betting.
