You’re forgetting there’s a lot more than just Michael Tabor in that operation, plus I’m sure he could muster up an army of people to get his bets on. This comes from a reliable source, and I certainly have nothing to gain from divulging it. Let’s not derail this thread from what matters, the horses.
June 2, 2017 at 14:36 #1303010The O’Brien runners have been vet checked and cleared to run today.
Regarding the going, last year’s Woodcote was run on Good to Soft and the winner clocked 1.13.55
De Bruyne Horse just clocked 1.08.54 on ground described as Good.
That is 5 seconds quicker over 6F. It will be interesting to see the time of the next race but for now the ground looks pretty good.
Today’s Woodcote was the third fastest in the last 25 years.
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
June 2, 2017 at 15:21 #1303012I live about 15-16 miles from Epsom and it has just started to chuck it down with thunder thrown in – look out Epsom.
June 2, 2017 at 16:21 #1303020Not too happy to see the rain pelting down at Epsom, I put up SOBETSU at 10/1
2 days ago in the ante post thread (albeit I missed the declaration deadline)
but I’m not sure she wants the ground soft but then again neither does Rhododendron.
Hopefully, as it’s not been raining too long, it wont get into the ground. On the
bright side, it won’t do Capri’s chances any harm in the Derby tomorrow if it
continues a while.June 2, 2017 at 16:42 #1303021Inspired analysis on Enable, Joni – well done… and to all winners.
June 2, 2017 at 16:45 #1303022I just watched the race, and I am very glad about this result
.
The right team has won, and I hope today the same will happen.
Of course it was excellent management by Gosden..June 2, 2017 at 16:46 #1303023Shades of El Gran Senor, hopefully Dettori gives Cracksman the exact same ride
June 2, 2017 at 16:49 #1303024I hope today the same will happen.
of course tomorrow.
I was still excited while writing..June 2, 2017 at 16:57 #1303025Inspired analysis on Enable, Joni – well done… and to all winners.
Thanks Joe! Much appreciated. She is a really class filly isn’t she? I don’t think the fav stayed but even so they pulled miles clear. The world is her oyster now…..
"this perfect mix of poetry and destruction, this glory of rhythm, power and majesty: the undisputed champion of the world!!!"
June 2, 2017 at 17:02 #1303027Well done Joni, she looks a bit special. And well done to Chivers too, if I read it
right you’ve bet the winner and done the forecast…….that’s a nice bit of business
June 2, 2017 at 17:06 #1303028WELL DONE JONI and CHIVERS

Top stuff guys and the fav didn’t get home!! Mile and a quarter for her methinks
June 2, 2017 at 17:14 #1303030Congratulations to everyone who backed Enable, including yourself Jonibake, she really did that in some style. Even though she was the second favourite she was one of the least discussed horses going into this I thought. In the end it was stamina that won the day, class alone wasn’t enough to win the Oaks – which the winner has in abundance no doubt.
Rhododendron simply didn’t stay, much as I expected. Again, she loses nothing in defeat and I expect her to excel over 10f later on in the season.
Alluringly ran on well to uphold her Chester form, 25/1 was a nice price so I’m happy with the e/w.
Coronet never got into contention at all. I haven’t seen a replay as of now but I think she may have finished well to get up for 4th or 5th. I don’t think she took to the track at all and she looked completely off-balance coming off Tottenham Corner, either way she was never good enough to win this.
June 2, 2017 at 17:23 #1303034One thing I don’t understand is why Donnacha was so intent on making it a real test of stamina aboard Pocketfullofdreams with Rhododendron being a doubtful stayer. I understand they run all of their horses on merit but the tactics from Ballydoyle just didn’t really add up there.
June 2, 2017 at 17:31 #1303035Well done all the Enable backers, she saw it out best and I think the key factor is that she has improved a lot from her last race. She has greatly increased her measure of superiority over Alluringly today.
The conditions were foul and there was no hiding place on the stamina front. I felt at one stage Rhododendron was making a promising run but she ran out of juice late on.
I always felt that Coronet lacks the early pace. She is quite a dour sort who will surely go to the Leger in time. Sobetsu was a silly price I felt. She was a 20/1 shocker in winning in France and she never ran anywhere near the 113 mark she earned for that today.
Horseplay was never remotely good enough looking to my eyes and that was probably as good as she is.
You can’t take anything away from Enable she has improved to be a good winner today. If you took her out you had Rhododendron winning by six lengths. It makes you wonder what might have been had Shutter Speed run. She readily beat Enable last time and was always rumoured to be Gosden’s best 3YO filly this season. Oh, well, hopefully better luck with Cracksman tomorrow.
Well done winners

Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
June 2, 2017 at 17:37 #1303037Incidentally, Shutter Speed was cut to 11/10 Fav for the Prix Diane after today’s Oaks.
I backed Shutter Speed for that race when she was 2/1, so that is encouraging.
The firm offering 7/1 for Sobetsu to win it need to have a rethink I would say.
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
June 2, 2017 at 17:50 #1303042Nice to see my Enable/Cracksman double is very much alive

Pays out over a grand for 50 quid bet so come on Cracksman my boy!

Annoying I took 7-2 on enable never thought it would drift so much- shows what the market knows.
That oaks reminded me a lot of the User Friendly oaks. Hot favourite All at sea loomed up in the straight and just got outstayed- but was reverse this time as the Khalid abdulla filly won
June 2, 2017 at 17:58 #1303045Well done
Joni and Chivers
and everyone else who backed Enable what a great race Frankie rode on her in diabolical conditions her class carried her through.
Rhododendron not disgraced in second place and naturally disappointed that she didnt win but so pleased to see Nathaniel’s filly win this and no doubt she is improving every race.
Great tipping and analysis guys..keep it up…Jac
