Talent was rated 96 I think before she won the Oaks so a rated of 100 plus should be ample to win this !!
Open race and yes if the fav stays she probably wins but at odds on she is definitely not a bet for me!!
June 1, 2017 at 23:02 #1302925A friend of mine knows Magnier and he told him Alluringly ew is a good bet but the fav should win……
"this perfect mix of poetry and destruction, this glory of rhythm, power and majesty: the undisputed champion of the world!!!"
June 1, 2017 at 23:14 #1302927That’s good to hear Joni, think that post will go viral now LOL.. I would really like to see Rhododendron get her Oaks victory as felt she was desperately unlucky to be denied her run until it was too late in the QIPCO Guineas and backed her at 13/8 before the Irish Guineas
also have her in a double with Eminent so bring it on. Good luck
PS:
Your friend doesn’t happen to know Eminent’s owner does he? ;)Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...June 1, 2017 at 23:15 #1302929Talent was rated 96 I think before she won the Oaks so a rated of 100 plus should be ample to win this !!

That was a grim oaks though Raymo. Even Ralph Beckett was astonished that she beat stablemate Secret Gesture. I was sitting on Secret Gesture at 25/1 that day. Talent never won again and after going from 96 to 114 for winning the Oaks she slid away to a 103 rating.
That was a pretty whiffy Classic that Talent won.
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
June 2, 2017 at 08:51 #1302952Had a dream last night where Rhododedron faded out of contention in the straight… unfortunately Enable only managed to finish third… some relative outsider won

Yeah I think that’s what the dream I had was alluding to… a win for alluringly?
Also mentioned something beginning with F- maybe frontiersman
I’m losing it
June 2, 2017 at 08:54 #1302954Ok I’m guessing with Alluringly… all the dream knows is that Rhododedron won’t win and enable finishes third…
You can see how I decide on my horsey bets

Does have the feel of Legatissimo’s race a couple of years back Judge, so you never know.
June 2, 2017 at 09:33 #1302958The market support for Rhododendron is unreal, even more so than Minding last year. Word is the lads are going in hard on her, which never bodes well for those in opposition.
It doesn’t bode well for Alluringly’s chances either, if Coolmore think a horse is overpriced, it won’t be overpriced long..
I’m still sticking my neck out and saying that Rhododendron won’t get home, I’m just hoping the rain holds off and gives not only Cornonet, but every horse, the opportunity to show their class.
June 2, 2017 at 11:10 #1302971Watching RUK at the moment and there are saying that the O’Brien horses running today are currently delayed in arriving from Ireland
June 2, 2017 at 11:21 #1302975Anybody know what the weather is like down there? I see Highland Reel and Rhododendron have eased up in the betting, is that due to the news of the delay or has the rain come?
June 2, 2017 at 11:25 #1302977Watching RUK and it is not raining still sunny – forecast was that any rain would be from 1pm onwards, which is also reportedly the time the O’Brien runners are due to land
June 2, 2017 at 11:31 #1302979Right, thanks LD
Hope it steers clear.June 2, 2017 at 12:07 #1302985The market support for Rhododendron is unreal, even more so than Minding last year. Word is the lads are going in hard on her, which never bodes well for those in opposition.

Haha, where did you hear that ‘word’? I can’t see Tabor et al steaming in at odds on tbh.

Well, you know best..
June 2, 2017 at 13:39 #1302996O’Brien horses still not at the track, reports say they are due around 2pm (traffic permitting) but they have to be there no later than 45mins before the Coronation Cup to be able to run in it – technical problems with the plane meant they didn’t leave Ireland until 11:15 but they couldn’t fly into Gatwick so were sent on to Farnborough, which they say is a 90min journey on a good day and they don’t have a police escort either.

I’m pretty sure Tabor stated recently that he doesn’t even bet anymore because no one will lay him anything.
