Cheers Darren, but it’s Louis De Jager I’ve got in the final 16 in the Cyprus Showdown.
It’s not long underway, and De Jager is 1 under after 4, which has him in T3 with 2
sharing the lead at 2 under. Wih only 16 in the final I’m hoping that the 7 places
at 66/1 gives me enough cover to get something back.

    All to play for :good:

Hi Darren, I haven’t had problems with Hills (so far) but had exactly that
problem with Corals, Ladbrokes and Racebets. I gave up with them, it’s just
a way of telling you your custom is no longer welcome. They look at accounts
that are not profitable for them and also if you continually beat there SP
odds by some way some of them take the huff for that too. I think once it gets
to that there’s no way back. I tried Corals after about a year and they have
long memories, it was exactly the same. Shame on them I say :negative:

I know ginger is restricted on most if not all of them
Racebets reduced me to nothing but I don’t bet that big anyway, I had a lucky Cheltenham with them one year and they didn’t like it
Daz, your best bet is betfair exchange. Better prices on the whole and you can select your commission to 2%

    Joburg Open

Louis DeJager 45/1 (50/1 1st round leader market)

He’s one of the home grown breed and although he missed the cut
in this last year, he’s in decent form this time having finished
T9 in the rather strange Cyprus Showdown, with rounds of 65 and
66 in there. He netted me a biggee 1st round leader a couple of
seasons back, he’s a good bit shorter now but his is playing well.

Alexander Levy 60/1 (60/1 1st round leader market)

I thought he might do well 2 weeks back in the Cyprus Open, as he had
looked like he was in decent form when roaring home in the final round
of the Scottish Open with a 66. It didn’t play out that way and he was
out after the 2nd round. He made up for that last time out in the Cyprus
Showdown, where he finished a couple ahead of DeJager in T7. I don’t want
to just throw in 4 home grown players, and he looks like one that could
mix it with them with 5 European Tour victories already under his belt.

Jacques Blaauw 100/1 (80/1 1st round leader market)

He’s a bit chancy as he’s been off for some time, he’s not played since
before the lockdown, but at least he’ll be fresh and he’s in his own back
yard. He had a couple of top 20s at the start of the year including in the
South African Open. He’s not without a hope at a decent price.

Toby Tree 200/1 (125/1 1st round leader market)

It’s a bit of a wing and a prayer shot with Toby. He’s a decent player
on his day, and he did manage a 3rd place in the Cape Town Open earlier in
the year. More recently he played well in the Irish Open and even with a
slightly disappointing last round he still finished in the top 20. If he’s
on a going day, he might surprise a few.

Bets for the RSM Classic coming up shortly :good:

    RSM Classic

Sungjae Im 20/1 (18/1 1st round leader market, Plantation)

He did amazingly well for his 1st appearance at the Masters, and barring
an inspired DJ he would have been fitted with that green jacket. He must
have more energy than any person on earth, certainly any person on the
tour, as he rarely misses a week’s golf. This course fits his eye, he went
round it last year with a worst round 69. He is way overdue that 1st win,
he’s been so near with umpteen top 10 finishes last year. I think he should
    be favourite for this.

Joaquin Niemann 33/1 (28/1 1st round leader market, Plantation)

Three top 20s in his last 3, including 6th place in the CJ Cup, tell you he’s
in fine form. He’s already had a win last year at Greenbrier and a further
couple of top 10 finishes after, not including the CJ, since the break. I’d
be surprised if he wasn’t still in the mix come Sunday.

Sebastian Munoz 35/1 (28/1 1st round leader market, Seaside)

Well they’re finally cottoning on to the fact that this guy can play. 33/1 is
the shortest he has been for a while and with good cause. He finished T8 in
the Fedex Cup, and hasn’t looked remotely like missing a cut since with 4 top
25s in his last 6. Finished T19 last time out in the Masters, and whilst that’s
pretty good it could have been a whole lote better. He actually got to T4 in the
final round before a couple of double bogies at 6 and 7 derailed him. He could
have fallen apart after that but he kept it level with 3 birdies and bogies. I
think that will have taught him a lot and given him confidence that he can mix
it in all company. I very much fancy him here.

Maverick McNealy 100/1 (50/1 1st round leader market, seaside)

There’s plenty to like about this guy as a big outsider. He’s near enough 3 top
20s (T21 Bermuda Championship) in his last 4 and finished with a couple of 67s
last time out at Houston. He’s shown some decent form with a T5 at the AT&t
Pebble Beach before the break and a T8 in the Rocket Mortgage Classic after it.
He’s also a doppelganger for my next door neighbour at my last house. I just
thought I’d throw that in

Best of luck guys, they’re well under way in the Joburg Open, I see your man
Armitage is doing well at 2 under Darren. My early starters are doing okay too
with DeJager 2 under after 9 and Blaauw 4 under after 17. The leader Nienaber
is stretching them at 7 under after 15.

No sign of Raymo yet, he’s gonna have to stand in the corner facing the wall
with the pointy hat on his head B-)

    RSM Classic

    Webb Simpson @ 9/1 E/W (9 places)

Thought he played well last week and with his course form, I’ve gone for a small point each way on the fav here. Do love a player with proper course form and three times Simpson really could’ve won here. Happy to take a punt at 9s with that many places on offer as well.

Good luck with Simpson MOM, not a bad 1st day for him at 2 under but
we’ve all got a bit of catching up to do. It might only be the 1st day
but 2 of mine are already dead in the water. Maverick McNealy was
disappointing but not a huge shock at 7 over, but I’m astounded to
see Sebastian Munoz go off the rails too with a 6 over par 76. My
other 2 are par and 1+ so fair bit of work to do. Thankfully things
going a little better down Joburg way. Jacques Blaauw just missed
the E/W money for 1st round by 1 shot, but he’s well placed at 5 under
and starts his round in 10 mins. DeJager is a couple further back and
after a poor 1st day Toby Tree has fought his way back to 3 under after
11 holes, he needs to pick up at least another couple to have much
    of a chance.

Darren your best 2, Armitage and Stone at 2 and 1 under haven’t started
yet but they need a couple of good rounds to to get into the mix.
You’re doing quite well over the pond though with Johnson and Pan not
too far off the lead at 4 and 3 under. Best of luck there :good:

Woah Darren, how did I miss that one  Kizzire is only 1 off the
lead at 5 under after a great back 9. I hope he keeps that up mate, what
a win he would at 200/1. I’d settle for you to win with Kizzire at 200/1
in the US and me to win with Blaauw at 100/1 in Joburg. What a double
    that would make :good:
