I’ve got Otaegui in the Belguim Knockout Darren, he’s just won his semi and he’s
into the final with Herbert. I was swithering what to do, my cash out on Otaegui
was £303.81 and he’s the 4/6 favourite. Aaron Wise’s cash out at this point is £227.66.
I’ve not done Otaegui e/w, I had him on the nose at 28/1, and Herbert played the best
semi final round at 3 under. So before a ball is struck in the final between the pair
i’ve taken the £303 for Otaegui as there’s no guarantee he’ll win.I’m going to let the bet with Wise run and hope he can get his head in front of Leishman,
I could have done without his last hole bogey last night when he was the outright leader
at 18 under. My other runner, Jimmy Walker had an even worse finish, with a double bogey
at the 18th when he was just 3 off the leaders score. I’ll be happy if he can stay in the
money, he’s 5 back T5 at 12 under and probably too far back to catch them.Good luck with Shelton tonight Darren

Raymo, I was hoping that Campillo wouldn’t be drawn against Otaegui until the final,
and we would both have had a chance, but it didn’t work out that way. I think he was
the main danger to my man, and I was relieved to get past him. You’ve done well of
late mate, I’m sure you’ll be back on the winning track next week
May 20, 2018 at 16:51 #1354491Well, as Sod’s law would have it, Otaegui went on to win. Having said that, I
don’t regret taking the cash out, I didn’t have him e/w so I could have ended up
with bugger all, and £303 isn’t to be sniffed at and he was one behind after 3 in
a 9 hole play-off. Hopefully Wise can do as well tonight.May 20, 2018 at 17:08 #1354495Well done mate but get the feeling wish not cashed out
And Shelton gone behind here in final day mate 2 off lead now Guthrie a outside chance but needs to get move on to
May 20, 2018 at 17:17 #1354497STAN WAWRINKA 5/1 To win ATP Geneva open
Come back from injury last week went out 1st round that took rust off him for this week he won this event before and am sure know doubt win French open next week.So focus more here of winning on home soil.Donaldson or Istomin be 1st up after that see Ramos Vinolas as likely foe in QF.But see Stan beating rivals here
KATARINA SINIKOVA 16/1
She likes clay while few her rivals in draw not like it much like Watson who could go out early here and her draw is fine for decent run in this event
May 20, 2018 at 19:03 #1354510I wouldn’t have minded the extra cash with Otaegui Darren, but I would do the same again
in the same circumstances. With Wise joint leader for tonight (if it starts) I felt it was
better to get something in the bank, so a certain £330 as opposed to a 50/50 chance of £580
(with no e/w place safety net) won the day. I’ve lost a couple of big returns recently by not
cashing out, the worst being last week when I had £20 in-play on Steve Stricker at 66/1 in the
1st round betting. I should have taken the £600 cash out when he was joint leader but trading at
1/2 with a relatively easy par 5 ahead of him, but I hung on and lost the lot
You pays your money, you takes your choice…..as they say
May 21, 2018 at 00:53 #1354520I’m not taking the cash out route tonight, but with Wise 4 clear with
7 to go it’s over £400. The win at 15 e/w would be over £700 so instead
I’ve stuck £50 on Leishman at 15/2 and another 20 at 8/1. I don’t think
any of the others can catch up so I’m not bothered now who wins, as long
as it’s one of those two.May 21, 2018 at 12:25 #1354529Well done BigG on Aaron Wise at 40/1 very happy for you i remember early in year you said who this Wise chap and had to remind you was a player i thought win this season bit like Rahm and Paratore a player talk about before but not on them for there 1st win.
May 21, 2018 at 13:37 #1354535Cheers Darren, and you are spot on, he’s not a player I was very aware of until you
highlighted him. Cheers for that mate
It’s been a good week for me with Otaegui winning in Belguim, and both Walker and
Wise getting the place money in the 1st round betting. Walker made the place money
again in the outright, but Wise was the cherry on the cake. I’m more than happy
with that little lot
May 21, 2018 at 15:45 #1354548WELL DONE G
TOP STUFF MATE

And I think I would have cashed out on the win only too!!
I managed to get Grace placed so got a few quid back for that but super stuff backing both winners!!
May 21, 2018 at 17:25 #1354560Cheers Raymo, I missed that Grace got a place. Believe it or not, I was following
it late on in bed on my laptop, and with 4 to go….I fell asleep
I woke about 4am with my laptop still balanced on me and huriedly logged back in to
ensure he had won. I see that your man finished with a great rattle (eagle, birdie
birdie birdie) to take T3. It’s just as well Wise was well ahead, as he parred the
last 8 holes. Well done sir
May 22, 2018 at 12:42 #1354621Bets golf this week start at BMW PGA Championship
BRANDEN GRACE 20/1
He won here before in 2012 and was 3rd at weekend in Byron and this course at Wentworth is ideal for him as all best form come on links style layouts which this is.And for my best bet
IAN POULTER 30/1
Not best of form here but after win in Texas i think come here with more belif then before he another got good record in links events and back home go well.
CALLUM SHINKWIN 200/1
Last 2 bets are big priced bets and start with this guy best performance was loss in playoff in Scottish open last year.He has shown bits and pieces of form this season to suggest can go well.
AUSTIN CONNELOY 300/1
This a serious young talent from Canada was 11th in Italy and 13th in Trophee hassan the latter event a bit like qatar masters. And get the feeling with him he a young player can shine on links layout like this
May 22, 2018 at 12:59 #1354622Forth worth invitational bets
JORDAN SPEITH 9/1
While field a strong one feel he should be much shorter in betting because of outstanding course form he got here.
2,1,2 last 3 years.Add to fact won at John dere classic which course is like even more make him strong fave.ADAM SCOTT 30/1
While Rose,Fowler be playing this week lack course form here yes Rahm 2nd last year but style of play will catch him out round here. The aussie who won here in 2014 been showing signs a win be coming soon think he be big danger to Speith.
JASON DUFNER 35/1
Who lost title to Adam Scott in 2014 and to Zach Johnson in 2012 can go well here again was 5th at Players championship which is fine form and has the game and class go well here
SAM SAUNDERS 200/1
Was 9th at Wells fargo and also best pal is Aaron Wise who won last week while a strech say he can win i feel at a big price can go well
PATRICK RODGERS 200/1
A player i always rated and while form at this venue not great MC last year it form shown at John dere classic which a course has links and pointers for players do well at both venues. so for me must be a matter of time before can show that form here.
Good luck Raymo and Big G.

Tyrroll Hatton 30/1 (50/1 1st round leader betting)
He’s had a break since the Masters, where he acquitted himself well enough without threatening,
and should be going into this fresh. If he has kept his form prior to that, 3rd T3 T9 he wont be
far away. He’s climbed up to 21st in the world and his confidence should be high. He has a very
realistic chance of winning this.Arrian Otaegui 60/1 (66/1 1st round leader betting)
If anyone is going into this in red hot form it’s Otaegui. His last 6 tournaments read T12 T10 T12
T19 2, 1. I think he should be about half those odds. In his last 7 rounds, his highest score is
69. I’ll be very surprised if he isn’t still in with a shout come Sunday.Jorge Campillo 66/1 (66/1 1st round leader betting)
Campillo is a fellow countryman of Otaegui, and was beaten by him in the semi-final of the Belgium
Knockout last week. He played great golf up to that point, and was also 1 place behind Otaegui in
3rd place at the China Open the week before. T5 in the Open de Espana last month, and 2nd place
in the Maybank in February give him similar chances to Otaegui.Chris Paisley 100/1 (80/1 1st round leader betting)
Paisley has not exactly had a full diary this year, it only extends to 5 tournaments, but those
5 tournaments have brought about an incredible change. He came into this year ranked 289 in the
world, but after his win in South Africa, followed by a T5 in the Abu Dhabi and 5th in the Dubai
Desert Classic, he finds himself well within the top 100. He himself commented that he thought of
himself as a “journeyman” golfer, and had to set his sights higher after his results this year. I
hope he keeps working at it, he’s a good golfer when on song.I’ll post up my bets in the Fort Worth Championship later today.
May 23, 2018 at 22:58 #1354804Excellent punting Gents, been a little busy and away for a couple weeks to recharge the batteries.
Just the one bet in that time,ante-post on Jimmy Walker for the US Open.
BMW favourite tournament outside of the Open rota this side pond, have been to this venue many times over the years, tremendous course that has stood the test of modern day equipment. Not an easy one to predict, been a few winners that were really under the radar, these tree lined fairways can be very intimidating,a proper test.
Gone with a few that have played well here recently, and added Paisley who looked way overpriced on recent evidence.Pepperell is an Oxford boy who my dad has been banging on about since he made the tour, not that consistent,he does have a habit of playing well on tough tracks.
C Wood 130
D Burmeister 300
E Pepperell 170
C Paisley 210
A Dodt 630
S Hend 530As always, best of luck to all.
May 24, 2018 at 00:23 #1354809Fort Worth Invitational
Jimmy Walker 28/1 (40/1 1st round leader betting)
I’m sticking with Jimmy Walker who is very much on the up after his well documented
medical problems. He’s been in the place money for me the last 2 tournaments and I
think it’s only a matter of time before he gets his nose in front. He’s mentally
strong and if he’s up there after 3 rounds he’s not one that will look like a rabbit
in the headlights if a win looks likely. I like his chances this week.Aaron Wise 33/1 (50/1 1st round leader betting)
He did me a favour last week, and that was after a T2 the week before in the Wells
Fargo. Not only did he keep himself together when he started his final round well
clear of the field, his greens in regulation (91.6%) was the highest by a winner on
the tour since 1997. That’s a super impressive stat, not to mention that he hit a drive
over 400 yards
. Back to back wins are hard to achieve, if he manages this at
21 (and he just might) he’s going to be a golfer to follow.Bryson DeChambeau 40/1 (55/1 1st round leader betting)
I’ve been a fan of DeChambeau for some time, I put him up at the start of last year
as my outsider for the US Open. That didn’t quite happen, but he did come good for
me last year in the John Deere. I thought he might have gone on from that and added
one or two more, but he’s been banging on the door of late, 2nd in Arnold Palmer,
3rd in the RBC Heritage and 4th in the Wells Fargo earlier this month. He has the
game to go close in this. That’s me done for this week chaps, I hope we can all get a run for our money this
week
