Hong Kong Open
Rafael Cabrera Bello 11/1 (18/1 1st round leader market)
He’s a very easy pick for me this week, I can’t ignore his great
course form here and I think he’s the stand-out candidate this
week. Darren I hope he’s as good as we both think
Joachim B Hansen 150/1 (100/1 1st round leader market)
The Dane has been in and out the last few years, but he showed some resolve
to battle his way back into the European Tour. Albeit it was in the lesser
sphere of the Challenge Tour, he has run off a string of top 10s, including
2 wins and 3 runners up. He should be going into this new season full of
confidence and might just have a chance of getting into the money….6th
place would do for me
That’s it for this week for me. Good luck Darren, I think Raymo has hung
up his boots for this year.November 22, 2018 at 15:38 #1386671BigG I thought you put up your old pal in hong Kong that is Jason Scrivner was 33/1 he joint leader with my guy A Rai he best hope so far
Korea going well for you
November 22, 2018 at 19:41 #1386685I did give a bit of thought to Scrivener Darren, and to Rai for that matter, I
have bet both, but I’ve made a bit of a pig’s ear with the Hong Kong. Thankfully,
as you said, the Koreans are doing the business for me. I got them in the 1st
round leader market and although they were joint leaders with 2 others I still
got back enough to cover my golf bets in both tournaments. We’re in with a good
shout this week Darren, your man Rai leading in HK and Korea leading for me down
under. Here’s hoping our luck is in this week mate
November 23, 2018 at 15:36 #1386753BigG things going ok for you in world cup of golf
And i am happy in Hong kong with 80/1 shot 4 clear at halfway stage while Fitzpatrick tucked away in 3rd good chance of another winner
November 23, 2018 at 17:02 #1386762Looking really good for you with Rai Darren, what a round he had…..9 under
and not a shot dropped
He’s 4 clear and I don’t think he will bottle
it. There’s no such thing as a certainty, but he must come close
I’m quite happy with my Korean friends, they had a bit of an up and down 2nd
round, but a level par 72 was enough for them to hold on to joint top spot.
It’s only half way, but fingers crossed we can fleece the bookies again
November 24, 2018 at 11:58 #1386909A Rai take a 6 shot in final day wish not bogey last hole but lead should be enough for him but there are 3 world class players behind him hope he do it what you think
November 24, 2018 at 14:47 #1386951Ah Darren mate, You must be almost able to smell the money with Rai. I can’t see him
folding in the last round, I think you are on a winner, and at a very tasty 80/1
It’s not looking so hot for me now with my Korean friends in the WCOG down under. I’ve
been a fan of Thomas Pieters for ages, particularly when he made me a bundle in the
Ryder Cup the time before last. He’s not been in the greatest of form, but that’s
what happens when they arrive in a different format. I doubt my guys can close 5
shots, but you never know……hanging on by a thread
November 25, 2018 at 11:12 #1387089Mate a 1st and 2nd in Hong Kong and very happy Rai held on by a shot 80/1 winner and 2nd to happy with that I am
November 25, 2018 at 13:19 #1387106Fantastic result Darren, an 80/1 winner and 14/1 runner up
I wonder what a f/c would have been for that
Rai would have been a winner in the 1st round betting too.
It’s a cracking start to the new season mate, keep it up
November 25, 2018 at 13:42 #1387109There are 3 events next week so hope we do well in those to
Also that twice in a month had 1st 2 did the same when De Chambeau won and Cantlay was 2nd
November 26, 2018 at 16:36 #1387180Bets for this week start at Hero challenge
DUSTIN JOHNSON 8/1
DJ in the past normally treat this event like a vacation but now he no longer no1 in world I get the feeling he want to put on a show this weekend. This course all about power something DJ got in spades. Can do damage on par fives. And been 3rd here before
BUBBA WATSON 25/1
Bubba a former winner here and if look at 2 strokeplay wins this year both at tracks he adores.Rivera and
River highlands.Back at a venue won at before can go well at way to big of odds.November 26, 2018 at 16:58 #1387181Australian pga championship
RYAN FOX 25/1
2 years ago here when Harold Varner won here he open up with 2rounds in 60s before scoring a pairs of 70s at weekend to be 9th.2 years he evolved into a much better player as form this year 2nd at Irish should of won it.
And did well on Scottish open he can be the one who be party pooper for locals.JASON SCRIVNER 16/1
No doubt Leishman and Smith have there backers but over last few months this guy been in fine form he is getting ready to peak at a event could be here.16th in Needbank and 3rd in hong kong suggest a bold run expected this week.
CURTIS LUCK 50/1
While he been MC last 3 events on PGA tour every chance a return to his homeland can spark a return to form was 11th here last year. And with a PGA Tour card in pocket be full of beans and delighted to be back home.
HARRISON ENDYCOTT 90/1
This a another top aussie talent was 28th in Aussie open last time but did start well before fading away in the end finish 28th but did enough there to say can go well here
November 27, 2018 at 17:21 #1387251Bets for Maurituis open
VICTOR PEREZ 25/1
3 Frenchman top my bets here and this one been in form on the challenge tour and shown that form in hong kong last week when 5th.This a low grade event that suits the French players can break his duck here.
ROMAIN LANGASQUE 50/1
Was 3rd here last year which is fine course form a lot of potential he got was very hyped up when 1st come on tour. But in recent weeks starting to show it and follow French player home here
CLEMENT SORDET 80/1
Another classy sort was 2nd in high class event in Thailand few years ago.Was the best player on challenge tour in 2016 but not get to those heights on main tour. But lot of time left for him can go well.
CHRISTIAN BEZUIDENHOUT 80/1
This a talented south African who not yet fufill anywhere near potential make Course debut here he did ok at Valderaama 29th on that tough course and this not a strong event
MATTEO MANNASERO 125/1
On old form he beat this lot but that the thing on old form we sadly may never see best of him again this type of course will suit for short game wizard.
Any bets BigG and also mate Australian event start early tomorrow around 7.30pm I think it be
November 27, 2018 at 19:17 #1387263Mauritius Open
Jordan Smith 16/1 (28/1 1st round leader market)
He’s been in decent form of late, having 4 top 20 finishes in his last
8 starts, including a 3rd at the British masters and T12 last time out
at the DP World Tour Championship. He’s not had a win since the Porsche
European Open last year, but this doesn’t look an event of the highest
calibre and he might just get his nose in front.Louis De Jager 80/1 (80/1 1st round leader market)
I stuck my outright winner bets on yesterday, and at that time they they
hadn’t got the 1st round betting up. I just missed De Jager at 100s but
got 80/1. I see that as I type this the best odds are 60/1, so if he comes
up I’ll post a copy of the bet. He can have periods of indifferent form, but
when he’s hot he’s hot. He was right in the mix in this last year going into
the final round. He had an okay round, but those around managed to get more
birdies so he finished 4th. I reckon he must feel he let this one slip through
his fingers and he could make amends here as he’s been playing well recently
in trying to qualify for his card. He’s definitely one to consider in the 1st
round betting, he can hit really low and gave me a packet just before Cheltenham
when he was outright leader 1st round in the Tshwane Open at 90/1. I’d settle for
a start like that tomorrow.Arjun Atwal 100/1 (80/1 1st round leader market)
I actually considered Atwal last week, and was a bit miffed when he was joint
1st round leader, I think at something like 300/1
. Anyway, his game
has to be in reasonable shape when he’s hitting rounds like that, and he did
finish runner up in this last year. I think he’s well worth a speculative punt
at those odds
I’ll have a look at the Ozzie one shortly Darren, and get it on before the off.
I’ll probably stick just one or maybe two on as I’ll also have a go in the Hero
World Challenge. Another week like last week would do very nicely for you Darren
I’m missing Raymo
November 28, 2018 at 10:50 #1387283I miss Raymo as well mate no more moan alerts this year from him on golf
November 28, 2018 at 18:24 #1387330Australian PGA
Cameron Davis 25/1 (40/1 1st round leader market)
A previous winner of the Australian Open, he seems not bad value at those odds. It’s
going to be hard to get past Smith and Leishman if they are in top form, but their
single figure odds don’t really do much for me. I’ve just done the one for this, so
I hope he’s in good form….or just lucky, I’d settle for that
November 29, 2018 at 15:01 #1387385No views on Hero challenge
And off to decent start in mauritus with Victor Perez joint leader there
