If Nube Negra come here, presumably Harry Skelton will have to ride him and not Politologue.
December 27, 2020 at 17:18 #1515504Must admit, as someone who’s not been blown away by CPS so far, have to say he oozed class today and with Altior looking past his best he’s certainly one they all have to beat now!
Still not giving up hope on PTKO…after Aidan Coleman saying she hated the ground at Cheltenham in the Schloer I suppose the same could apply today as she never looked to be happy, wasn’t jumping well or travelling from early on. Am hoping her liking for Cheltenham, possible better ground and a more forceful ride might close the gap a little and CPS still needs to prove himself at the course…it’s gonna be a tall order but still feel Skybet have over reacted a little pushing her right out to 20/1…
December 27, 2020 at 17:42 #1515507Zamorston the ground at Leopardstown today was no worse than when she won at Cheltenham.
January 6, 2021 at 18:28 #1516644Cashed out Notebook. May lose the cash out option when it goes NRNB so had to make a decision.
January 19, 2021 at 18:27 #1518233Impact Factor for a real Hail Mary at 100s ew. He jumped very well on reappearance after a long layoff and if he puts up a good showing in the Clarence House and it continues to rain plenty before the Festival, he could try his hand here.
January 23, 2021 at 15:42 #1519009I said CPS was bombproof earlier on the first page, but that doesnt cut it anymore, if hes there on the day hes an absolute certainty.
January 23, 2021 at 19:32 #1519063Didn’t they say that about Douvan?
January 24, 2021 at 00:58 #1519282I’d put the *bar injury in there Ham…

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!January 26, 2021 at 10:26 #1519773I think Put The Kettle On at 14’s is a bit forgotten about, unbeaten at Cheltenham I believe and although well beaten at Christmas can see her chasing home the favourite in this.
February 1, 2021 at 22:52 #1520834Decided to add Tornado Flyer here. The Ryanair looks more obviously, but I thought I’d give him a try here.
I just can’t see past Chacun for the win, and with one outsider already fallen by the wayside, I was going to sit this out.
So probably one for The Ryanair, but I’ve bet him for Dublin Chase, as a good tin there, might just see them consider this.
Tornado Flyer 33’s EW NRNB
Tornado Flyer 95’sFebruary 28, 2021 at 11:48 #1525813Gone ew Cilaos Emery at 50/1. Should win impressively today and go into the Champion Chase with momentum. Could easily go off as short as 10/1 on the day.
Assuming he wins at Naas today which I do, he will go into the champion chase with 4 wins from 6 chase starts. The only defeats coming when he fell at the first and over 2m4 last time on his comebacks run, when not given a hard time at all. Looks like he has been trained to peak for Cheltenham and looks a lively outsider who is still improving over fences and has the pace to be dangerous in a champion chase. Could turn out to be the biggest danger to Chacun.March 7, 2021 at 20:27 #1527887Willie Mullins was asked in a preview interview if he could come out of retirement which of his would he ride if he had pick one.
I thought he was gonna say Monkfish. He said Chacun Pour Soi. Described the horse as a Rolls Royce and just wants him to get there this time. Mullins also said he has no concerns whatsoever about Cheltenham and the hill for him when he was asked about it.March 8, 2021 at 07:16 #1528000Chacun Pour Soi – never been around Cheltenham, never ran with ‘good’ in the going description. He may well be a Rolls-Royce and he may well win by a distance, but his price with those unknowns is awful and has to be taken on. As sure as night follows day, there is a Mullins sure thing that gets turned over. I don’t know which it will be, but it would be no surprise if it was this one.
March 8, 2021 at 07:26 #1528001Chacun Pour Soi has won 3 times with good in the going description in Ireland. Yielding ground.
March 8, 2021 at 08:57 #1528004Chacun beat Defi in Punchestown on Good-Firm ground. He has won on Good ground in France and has won in Leopardstown twice on Yielding ground (which is Irish for Good to Soft)
March 8, 2021 at 16:28 #1528105Think he’ll be made to look more like a Ford Fiesta than a Rolls Royce personally!
Still keen on PTKO for this…I know she was well beaten by CPS last time but that came possibly a bit quick for her after a hard race in the Schloer and as HDB has said the track didn’t suit her. She’s shown a real liking for Cheltenham, so back there with usual pilot Aidan Coleman back on I think she’s got a great chance!
The break will have done her good as she goes well fresh and if she can get in the same rhythm and jump like she did in the Arkle she’ll be bang there…
Am seeing a lot of people on preview nights tipping Altior and I can see that angle too definitely…
March 8, 2021 at 16:45 #1528110I’d be worried about the ground for PTKO personally. Not a betting race for me this but i’ll have everything crossed the main man can bound up the hill again in first time ‘pieces.
