YOU WEAR IT WELL
(Win)
Take it’s chances in the bumper.
A free running second to subsequent listed hero Mullenbeg means he has a very good chance here.
Won’t be a huge price but should be in with a good chance today.February 14, 2022 at 19:28 #1583163You wear it well
(Song by Rod Stewart)
Wore down the opposition and won by a clear margin. In touch throughout and would not be out of place in a listed bumper. Ready for transition to fences now.February 15, 2022 at 16:45 #1583271Time for Hollie

Impressive runner up last time every chance here in small field.
Likely best of the day.
———————————————-
Hit the bar yesterday with time for Hollie who was anchored by the penalty.
No mistake here with a wide margin and most impressive winner doubling up in the soul selection.February 16, 2022 at 22:52 #1583546FONTWELL LAST RACE FRIDAY
winning pointer Journey With Me continued his upward trajectory with an easy 12 length saunter in a bumper in Ireland 342 days ago on his way to winning two hurdles for Henry De Bromhead.
He remains unbeaten in four races and likely to go up in grade next.
Behind him that day was GALUDON and he makes debut for new connections at Fontwell in the bumper. French Bumper will take a chunk out of the market on debut for Gary Moore as a winning pointer but unless he is something special there is likely to be only one winner here.
Will almost certainly have been put spot on for this reappearance with a strong eye on the progress in the last week of journey with me. Would have preferred this horse to kick on straight over fences but likely that is imminent.
GALUDON. Win to keep up a very good run of winners on the thread.
Journey With Me holds two Cheltenham entries Ballymore and Albert Bartlett.
GALUDON win
GALUDON to win by 4 or more lengths 11/2
Heavy ground will likely suit having encountered it on debut.————————————–
No joy with the bumper.February 18, 2022 at 12:25 #1583639Kelso
4.10Today’s bumper after a sound thrashing yesterday comes from Kelso.
Already put up elsewhere Brian Hughes gets on the newcomer
AIN’T NO SUNSHINE
And this runner has some decent breeding for a stable who can win this type of race first time out.
He is up against a rival who ran well to finish a decent second to the progressive onrouge last time, but on balance
Ain’t no sunshine gets the vote here.
WinFebruary 18, 2022 at 16:39 #1583678AIN’T NO SUNSHINE was given plenty to do in the heavy ground and for one that hadn’t seen a track, he responded very well.
There some good trainer links out there and this one is Nick Alexanders.
Excellent previews and handy in providing a 25/1 placed horse in the opener. The runner up in the bumper was given a good mention too but as the thread was on the winner….
Very useful website. The second will win next time if kept in bumpers.February 19, 2022 at 07:00 #1583738Gowran park

WALK IN THE BRISE
( Willie Mullins)
Is bred in the purple.
This walk in the park mare, dam a half-sister to Vroum Vroum Mag.
They are unlikely to mess about here.
It would be a major disappointment and a blow to future offspring if this didn’t win and with some authority.
Gordon Elliott has won this race for the last two years and his runner has to be looked closely at, but most unlikely to be good enough here.
Not a sure thing though and a visual inspection in the paddock will help later on, but all the right noises are coming from the trainer.February 19, 2022 at 16:43 #1583868Ascot

Walk in the Brise needs to do one of two things and or both….
Win/ and or win by 5 lengths to land a four timer five timer six timer ( only tiny stakes) somehow I thought I had already landed a four timer but they were in different accas and they are aligned to the Gowran park race after 5pm. Mo Salah scored and three plus goals somehow no money won yet.February 19, 2022 at 17:14 #1583875Cashed out the six timer waiting on two four timers now need her to win and/or also win by five lengths stamina says no but we will see.

I cannot see the wood for the trees at the moment!
The thing to focus on is bumpers are going great generally.
Roc of Dundee ran really well to defy the penalty and done so well in the soft ground.

Round up
Sweet Auburn ran well but ultimately anchored by the penalty. A place selection would have been a fair return.
Nothing from the two bumpers today.February 20, 2022 at 18:36 #1584017A ‘View From The Stands’ verdict on the Musselburgh Bumper
As usual a fair precentage of the crowd left before the bumper but I alsways stay on.
Sweet Auburn set a decent pace from the start which is unusual, so the form should prove to be fairly solid. The leader was headed over a furlong out but did keep on to the line. Meanwhile Donald Whillans trained Neigh Botha and Lucinda Russell trained Scottish Wind has a close fought battle to the line.
Neigh Botha is the third of her dam’s progeny to appear and all have won. Scottish Wind is related to flat winner around the 1m 2f mark, but saw out this trip well in a truly run race. Both worth keeping an eye on going forward.
Feedback from Friday’s Kelso Bumper from a friend who made it to course despite the horrible weather:
Aint No Sunshine won because rider Brian Hughes outrode Bruce Lynn on the second Eloi Du Puy who is potentially the better of the two.
