This elusive pimpernel filly gets a significant weight pull and a five pound claim.
Has already gone hurdling and this switch to a bare two miles may suit.
No Willie Mullins runner here and Gordon Elliott may be able to make hay against the boys here.June 14, 2023 at 17:06 #1651482Newton Abbott

Must go very close here.
A course and distance winner last time, he’s gone to syd hosie. Beau Morgan’s half Stone claim negates the penalty and as he had Sam twiston Davies on board last time, he effectively races off the same weight as before.June 18, 2023 at 17:12 #1651909Downpatrick 5.15
River Tara to win by 3.0 lengths or more
@ evens.
Long odds on and with normal improvement may be able to cover the line here.June 18, 2023 at 18:33 #1651922River Tara did it nicely despite not having a claimer on board.
The training methods are very pronounced and physical improvement visible.
How much more would they win by if Willie Mullins utilised a seven pound claimer every time?

Short price but has his seven pound claimer and with a Fourth place on debut, the half stone should be seen to good Effect.July 27, 2023 at 19:41 #1656817Limerick 8:05

out of grade two winner interesting on debut for Micheal Bowe.
Good apprentice on board and as usual the Mullins horse concedes upwards of a stone in real terms to the entire field and is no sure fire winner despite huge physical advantage.August 6, 2023 at 17:26 #16589615:30 galway
You Oughta Know Is the Mullins representative here over Aurora vega and he was impressive on debut but the former obviously shades it.
It’s the final race of an excellent festival and despite never using a claimer Willie Mullins runner should get home well here.August 24, 2023 at 16:56 #1660810Stratford

The skeltons introduce this full sister to Nuba Negre grade two listed winner and nothing comes near this one on breeding.
If they have schooled her and have her ready will be hard to beat.
Lots of questions on that score especially if they intend a patient approach leading to fences but the price factors that and worth a go.October 3, 2023 at 17:18 #1665456Galway 1720

October 11, 2023 at 07:25 #1666215I called time on the punchestown card after landing the fifth race on the trot.
Spectacularly the bumper was landed by the Aga Khan horse Taranova off a break of 780 plus days but on rules debut and was recording a second win despite coming into the race as an unraced maiden!!
She had won a Dundalk barrier trial as a two year old and then remained unraced and kept in training.
This is interesting because 1 it is a training feat and two we could have been looking at a proverbial group horse in a maiden. The sire has served up a winner at longchamp along with several others this month and three progeny run today.November 12, 2023 at 16:10 #1670252Fos las 1610

WinJanuary 6, 2024 at 12:02 #1676411It’s been quiet on the bumper side in my area of late but there was an interesting one at Mussleburgh yesterday. Ground was taking quite a cut (Soft) and looked as testing as it has been for a while at The Links.
On paddock inspection I picked out once raced in a point Lieutenant Mayne as one ‘most likely to win a flat race’, told my regular racegoing group my opinion then failed to back it myself as it scooted in. He got bit tapped for speed in the soft ground, but stamina and fitness came in to play late on and he won comfortably. More lightly built than most in this contest, he looks a potential hurdler rather than a chaser for Meath based John McConnell.
Flaubert, a point winner from a stable that hasn’t been firing on all cylinders this season, made the running until headed over a furlong out. He’s built like a chaser and will be interesting when sent jumping.
Previous bumper winner Will Knott challenged up the straight but as beaten for speed in the latter stages. His win was at Hexham and it seems likely more of a stamina test will suit.
Of the remainder the most interesting might be Saratoga Steve who was 6th of the 7 in the end, but raced keenly and was not seen off until the last 2 furlongs. He was a cheap purchase by stable standards, but is related to winners and looks decnet material to go jumping with.
January 6, 2024 at 12:44 #1676423Many thanks Rob, when do they go next at Musselburgh?
