Warsaw(Danehill Dancer) won today for the DeKock- Maktoum team. Another cast off wins for the Arabs. Maybe they should stick to Aidan’s left overs and DeKock training instead of whatever they are otherwise doing.
August 25, 2008 at 17:39 #178144The Coolmore cast-offs performing better than the Godolphin home-breds and sales buys.
Perhaps it’s time the assorted Sheiks took a long hard critical look at the people who are running these operations on their behalf. If it was a truly commercial organisation most of them would have been booted out the door by now surely.
August 25, 2008 at 19:42 #178155It was a good win off a rating of 100 and after a year off. His good run bodes well for the stable over the coming months.
Andyod just to confirm that Warsaw’s owner (same as Archipenko, Asiatic Boy etc) is Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa al Maktoum – a cousin of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum (Godolphin) but entirely separate operation.
August 25, 2008 at 20:21 #178162There are some racing brains in the family
August 25, 2008 at 22:51 #178184Point well made Adrian – I was having a grumpy old day.
August 26, 2008 at 18:38 #178274Interesting to hear Kevin Shea say this was nowhere near the best of the bunch they have at De Kock’s yard.
For those that didnt read the RP today the ones that are tipped to be better are:
Honour Devil
Royal Vintage
Lucky FindSeptember 16, 2008 at 13:41 #8868Chinese White, Casual Conflict and Famous Name all seem to have gone back from racing in contrast to Ballydoyle trained horses who seem to improve from racing.Perhaps Dermot is planning a raid on Ballinrobe next year with the above horses! The Sheik loves to win west of the Shannon.Or maybe a handicap in the Antipodes.
September 25, 2008 at 21:26 #8943The Coolmore gang and their minions will get their comeuppance today. How dare they mauraude and plunder from offshore. No need to drag them like Fallon through the courts. We know they have been violating our goodsportsman rules of racing all year With their blue blooded horses and their awkard english and cheap bookmaker money. Is it any wonder that the noble arabs have abandoned us.But be comforted the BHA arose to the challenge and will protect us from the scroundrels.
September 25, 2008 at 21:51 #182300Okay
September 25, 2008 at 22:00 #182301heavy frank,but good!
September 26, 2008 at 02:03 #182335The opening post might be deemed offensive if only anyone could make sense of it. Are you trying to make a point andyod?
BTW, does anyone still wonder where the likes of APRacing have disappeared to, and why?
September 26, 2008 at 02:17 #182340I remember Alan stating that some folk on here seemed to want to accuse all owners of unfair practice and he didn’t care for this tarring. He said he would refrain fom posting. Some posters were quite disrespectful to one of the country’s top authorities on racing, imo.
As regards andyod’s post, I’ve no idea whether he thinks the result of the BHA action against the Ballydoyle men is good, bad, or indifferent.
September 26, 2008 at 02:30 #182341I suspect it was more than a little tongue-in-cheek…..bit of a sense-of-humour bypass here lately

Too many people think they ARE racing because they have abit of knowledge and when egos conflict your likely to result in a lack of humour.
hope this helps
September 26, 2008 at 03:13 #182347The opening post is nothing but gibberish ~ if it’s funny then it’s much too sophisticated for me.
September 26, 2008 at 05:48 #182362“In reaching their conclusions,” Struthers said, “the panel made it clear that there was no attempt to cheat; simply that the breaches occurred due to ignorance of the details of the rules in question.” Surely just a copy of the rules and an admonition to report back when read would have done the trick at this the highest level of racing. No need for the smear. No attempt to cheat but you are fined for not knowing the rules that you made no attempt to violate.
September 26, 2008 at 13:06 #182367I think James Willoughby’s "Comment" in this morning’s Racing Post is a well written piece and further illustrates the poor performance of the on-course stewards.
