Just shows what you mugs know, never back against history and in the premier league there are only two certainties – Utd win it 2 out of every 3 years and both they and Arsenal always qualify for the CL.

We’ll see now if Fergie was any good or whether he was in one of those jobs a blind man could do.

By mapping out your season early on giving other connections opportunity to go down different race paths, there’s enough G1s out there to go round and no point in everyone accidentally turning up at the same one or you could find trouble in running or have an off day which could mean a lost race.

Orfevre has faced twice the field sizes Frankel has in his career, won a triple crown and more money than any horse in history and they’re not afraid to send him outside of his comfort zone and to the other side of the world to beat whatever turns up – that is true greatness/brilliance and also why Frankel isn’t going anywhere near Paris.

Maybe Frankel’s opposition hasn’t been that great or brilliant, after all in Ireland they were beat by a mare who has lost 12 times and yesterday his standing opponent who has only won a Class 2 handicap was stuffed by a sprinter. If it wasn’t for pre-arranged small fields and his pacemaker would he really still be unbeaten?

He is obviously very good but maybe just a bit over-rated, sometimes when we want our next superhero we can tend to over-rate everything they do. Let’s just give him the biggest number we can anyway.

So, all of the colts Frankel has been beating have just been trounced by a filly rated a stone and a half less than Frankel.

Surprised the Aussies haven’t picked up on this.

Junoob – wins a Cl6 claimer and is a head second in the listed Quebec stakes 15 days later and two months after that wins the winter derby trial.

If they do nothing, I’ve had my last bet in the National, even if it was a winning one.

I’ve already gone back on the last line, by backing Cappa Bleu for next year’s race

As will most people, who will have their once a year bets if they don’t bet anyway, it will get it’s usual build up before and millions of people and families will watch it and love it.

This thread is a repeat of previous ones and will be repeated again in March and after the race in April and again later next year and after unless it’s a nice rarity where there are no accidents in which case we will all move on to another topic until the next accident when we will again put on our moral upstanding caring hats and go on one again.

It’s just another race, take away a sport’s main events and you kill the sport in the public eye.

Sorry PC, it was to do with this thread where BB suggested the horse had run a stonker last time out and I couldn’t see it: https://theracingforum.co.uk/horse-r … am#p433492

I noticed it was having it’s first run since that race in March yesterday so had to stick it in a double with another as invariably when I say something really isn’t right, it hacks up – and it did:
    http://www.racingpost.com/horses/result … s=ANALYSIS

It put a big smile on my face and in my wallet yesterday.

Alas too late , the advent of Sberry insisting that Frankel should run in the winter derby at lingfield , whilst castigating me to boot about my lack of imagination ………Yes the person masquerading as Sberry wants Frankel to run on the all weather …

OH yes they have arrived on this outpost , thing is we must shun them at each opportunity ……

    Imo

    Ricky

Only a muppet like ricky who claims to be an ‘expert’ would have taken that seriously, you’ve just outed yourself sunshine :)

There is an argument that handicaps are fairer and more competitive on the AW.

Guess we’ll see when the new fixtures list comes out again which courses get the most meetings and which tracks aren’t as viable.

Only one team has an Invincible defence, it’s just a matter of time 8)

AVB & BR should be soon on their way to the JobCentre.

United and City are shipping goals like a sinking shipping firm.

Newcastle are regressing, Everton may probably do so as well, Chelski’s lucky run is about to come apart.

    It’s quite obvious really :D

From a sporting point of view, let’s hope it’s still a competition come the new year.
