Snow Fairy would win 10f and shorter
Ouija Board would win 12f and furtherSo the race you and looking for is 11f?
I’d go for Ouija Board because she won me more money……..

Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
September 9, 2012 at 10:27 #412509I adored Ouija Board and, somehow she and Snow Fairy have morphed into one and the same horse in my head. Dead heat imo but neither horse would race again because they would have given their all and more. When a racemare is good she’s very, very good. And, just imagine if Goldokova was a 10/12f horse as well?
September 9, 2012 at 11:11 #412516They are two exceptional fillies and have such similar profiles and their ORs are I think within a pound so I’d also say a dead heat.
September 9, 2012 at 12:09 #412518No doubt in my mind Ouija Board the 3 year old was different class to Snow Fairy the 3 year old and would have been unbeaten but for Johnny Murtagh losing the plot in Bago’s Arc.
Ouija Board despite having her moments in top class races became somewhat inconsistent as she got older whereas Snow Fairy seems to be getting better as she gets older.
Very easy to make a case for both but up to now Ouija Board unlucky 3rd in the Arc swings me is her favour.
I think at the top of her game Ouija Board had just that little bit more class than Snow Fairy and would have just come out on top.

September 10, 2012 at 10:15 #412610Who has beaten the colts more often/more convincingly of the two?
September 10, 2012 at 11:38 #412622Neither really most of their wins came against their own sex.
September 10, 2012 at 15:58 #412656Where would Dar Re Mi figure? She beat the colts well in the Sheema Classic.
September 11, 2012 at 19:53 #412833So, all of the colts Frankel has been beating have just been trounced by a filly rated a stone and a half less than Frankel.
Surprised the Aussies haven’t picked up on this.
September 11, 2012 at 21:50 #412842Of all the colts Frankel has beaten….I like that.

Wow. Sberry this is bad even for you. All the colts? You mean SNA I think who was beaten 2 lengths giving away 3lbs. SNA was beaten 7 lengths by Frankel. Probably no surprise the Aussies havent picked up on it as there is nothing to pick up on.
As for the question – I think HGM has it spot on. OB was the better 3 year old but Snow Fairy just gets better and better. Who would bet against her winning the Arc? Add to that the fact she has had to bounce back from a couple of serious injuries and it swings it in her favour for me.
"this perfect mix of poetry and destruction, this glory of rhythm, power and majesty: the undisputed champion of the world!!!"
September 11, 2012 at 22:31 #412846Zarkava would beat Da Re Mi, Snow Fairy and Ouija Board by 3 or 4 lengths pushed out towards the line at Longchamp.
September 11, 2012 at 23:55 #412851I know it was a wee while back, but how would people rate Peeping Fawn alongside the aforementioned fillies? She was a personal favourite of mine and I was really sad she never got the chance to give the boys a beating.
Thoughts?

Agreed! Zarkava was one of the best FILLIES I ever saw who never knew what a whip was. Massively underrated by Timeform I’ve always maintained had she stayed in training she would have outgunned Sea the Stars along with 90% of all Arc winners. Zarkava had one of the best turns of foot you could ever imagine and the beauty of it was it was all done hands and heels.
September 12, 2012 at 08:06 #412864Quite a roll-call of some top-class fillies from recent years. I think they are sometimes forgotten amidst the hype of the colts.
Snow Fairy looked fantastic in the parade ring on Saturday; fit, mean, confident, superior. Walking back I wondered about Snow Fairy vs Frankel …
September 12, 2012 at 08:20 #412866Oft forgotten but slightly more talented contemporary of Ouija Board, though they never met, was Pride.
