Hollie Doyle for me, numerically speaking, is in the top 5 jockeys in the UK – every jockey makes errors, it’s an inevitable part of the job unfortunately. To describe her as ‘decent’ is to comfortably underrate her Cog.
Yeah, I agree regarding your assessment GT; Benoit de la Sayette is a ‘good’ young jockey, the difference being that Clifford Lee can be categorised as ‘very good’

Form is temporary, class is permanent Coggy lad ;)
Yeah, Rossa Ryan is excellent and flying atm Nath. James Doyle is an exceptional rider, better than Buick pound for pound, but obviously Buick has long been first choice.
Yeah, he looked destined for the playoff mate but Mitchell did really well. Great shout there, what a price then! Think he was around 14/16 generally when I looked the other day. Do you have any mid or long price early shouts you fancy for this year Darren?
Also, any early shouts for The Masters?? I’m thinking Jordan Spieth always plays well there and he’s at a lovely price but tee to green he hasn’t been at the races. There’s your obvious early shouts with Rory, DJ and Thomas and your progressive types in Bryson DC and Schauffele but I’m looking for those longshots!

Well played Raymo and good tipping in general chaps, certainly could’ve been better but you’ve made some calls there!! What a performance from Vijay Singh by the way, 56 years old and he nearly won on a really tough track
Raymo, you’ve got a sniff with Ryan Palmer by the looks of things, did you back him just win or e/w? Also, what made you pick big Ryan Palm Tree?
Wish I was there now nwalton but unfortunately I’m not, anywhere else I can catch you throughout the season you reckon?
Same goes for any of you other lads… would be a good laugh to meet up and have a bet and a beer ;)
Cheers,
Sass
Alright chaps, hope you’re all well. Wondering if any of you are going to Windsor tonight and fancy meeting up for a bev?
Also if not then do any of you intend to get to any early season meets soon?
Thanks a lot,
Sassoon
Hey! Any update regarding this lads? Cheers
Mulls, I’m interested in writing mate and have sent an email to the relevant address. Please let me know when you can. Thanks.
Alright chaps, some top quality stories on here, if anymore come to memory then please share? Also, what’s the most you’ve ever won on one race or in one day whilst gambling on racing or another sport?
Cheers,
Sass
Well done lads, on Schauffele myself, looks a sick little prospect
Hello pal, hope you’re well. Yes, Timeform seem to have a few years worth of data but a lot of these have been taken by staff who’ve been guessing the various junctures of the races; frankly with a bit of time you can do a better job yourself with time being the issue! you don’t need a plethora of old times for them to be of use just know what is fast, slow or par for the class and the ground etc. Also, timing from TV coverage or online race replays is generally doable but it’s quite course dependent and there are certainly ones you shouldn’t be trying to take sectionals from imo.
Ginger, how important do you believe trainer form to be? What do you like to look for? Also, what method do you use for converting tf info into prices?
Some great ideas on the draw there! Well worth having a play around with – have you noticed any draw biases over the last couple of seasons? Jon Gibby’s book is good in this area and he seemed to do well combining pace and draw generally.
Cheers,
SAS
Hahahaha that’s fair enough chaps, no doubt he was receiving info, not quite sure how he was getting it though tbh. No offence but doesn’t strike me as being a particularly charismatic individual which is often required to get to know people in Newmarket etc. I feel as though he had quite a bit of money to bet with and used pace and speed techniques and a lot of hard work to get to the conclusions he needed to get to. Overall if it’s true that he was between 17 and 18 percent roi then that’s solid playing especially at the fat stakes he was using.
Out of interest – what do you guys think would be a ‘good’ roi and what would be an ‘excellent’ roi?
Cheers,
Sassels
Nice going that middle, what first attracted you to the horse performance or breeding wise? Have you won any other big punts?
Also, do you play placepots and jackpots and have you ever won big one’s or been close?
Cheers,
Sass
