    lol…… A nice view point Dave…..

On a serious note though – for me, it has been the single most thing this season that has improved my punting. Due to work commitments I don’t have time to watch as much racing live as I’d like. The ATTHERACES web-site led the way…and with the RP following suit – for even a small fee ( ) it has ruled out some losers for me and included some good winners….

I always think he wasn’t made for stud duties – mainly due to the fact that his biggest asset was the abilty to fight and keep pulling out more. Undoubtably he was going to sire winners – but none that would be top class IMO. Any thoughts on what makes the ideal stallion etc…

Another high-drawn loser in the Lincoln at Redcar lobs up.

This one Zomerlust 16/1 in the 15.10 at Ponte

I think to be a pro at this game you have to have been really unsuccessful in your ordinary life

I think opposite is probably true.

    Arandalde,

In some races – it is the most important factor. In some races it has little or no effect.

Anyone ignoring it completely will really struggle in some races as the they may think they are getting value about a horse, when they are massivly handicapped by the draw.

Pins are slightly more reliable than RPR ratings ;)

The pace of the race is the first factor I look at when assessing a race, the draw is the second. I then put these together to come up with some race shape.

If it’s a key component on American tracks of the same size and shape – it is critical aspect of our racing.

I wouldn’t like to be drawn 1 or 30. Middle to low is my preference.
