Yes indeed, poor recent turf form but switch to AW obviously rekindled something. Good to see yet another daily play thread on here doing well.
Well done on the winners to date.
Good luck…May I ask what method you use?
Hi Steve. I too am keen on MC tonight, soft ground seems to suit the horse and can use his experience to his advantage. I like to refer to stable tour quotes occasionally for certain trainers, so here’s Rod Millman’s comment re MC:
"He probably ran above expectations in the Greenham and we are not sure where he goes yet. He has come out of the race very well. We always thought he was a very nice horse and he proved that at Newbury."
It’s worth noting that Millman had a winner with Graphene earlier today, who also had a positive write up, so hopefully MC can give him a double.
It looks a very open race Steve and Moviesta is certainly interesting judged on his group two win last year at Goodwood and has a decent draw in the middle. Ground shouldn’t in convince him either. He did run a shocker in the Nunthorpe however, but that was a hot race. Jack Dexter and Maarek would interest me also with some top class form on a soft surface.
rich1985. Before I place or recommend a bet I go through a strick due dilligence process, only when the confidence levels are high do I act. If they are not high I do not put money down. If you have followed my threads you will understand that I am an investor and not a gambler. I have no emotion when it comes to putting my money down and thats what seperates me from a mug punter.
Sorry but you are talking total balls there. Why bleat on about a horse weeks in advance, giving cryptic clues and hyping it up then on the day it runs (when vying for favouritism) don’t back it – will you back it next time? If you didn’t think it would win why not lay it. It just doesn’t make any sense. And of course you are gambling if you back a horse, where is the investment if you only win or lose money? Investing would be actually buying a horse. I for one will not take any further interest in this thread.
I don’t get it Roo, build up the horse for weeks then when it’s out you don’t back it? If there was a problem it should’ve been withdrawn.
You’re not filling me with much confidence Roo but I looking at the market it’s the one to be on so will chuck a fiver on.
13/8 joint fav now.
Entered for the bumper tomorrow at Ludlow with McCoy riding, around 9/4 – shall we pile in Roo?
Last winner above 9 st was Bulwark 6 years ago so think it pays to look at the bottom of the handicap so with the Dascombe and Hills yards going well I will go for Brockwell and Glenard.
Surprised you aren’t sticking with Stonebrook tomorrow Roo…
Ahem, I tipped SC first!

My concern about Rocky Creek is his rather abject run in the Mildmay last year on ground that should’ve suited – yes Dynaste was very good that day and since has become a true grade one horse but it begs the question whether the course suits. His Hennessy second is sound form however and if you can forgive that run he has a fair chance.
Shame about Katenko, he was on my shortlist but I suppose after a largely disappointing campaign this may be one bridge too far.
Colbert Station still my number one, with perhaps Prince De Beauchene as a backup – I’m not overly enamoured with those at the head of the market, don’t think T43 is good enough to win and odds are too prohibitive to back each way, and the two class horses LR and TB have too much weight. The Irish have a small but select posse of entries so think I will side with them after such a good Cheltenham, and CS and PDB offer decent value at 20s.
Good thread TYF, nice to see some reasoning behind daily selections. May I add one for tonight at Dundalk, Fine Cut for Tommy Stack in the first I think has a good chance as trainer is one to follow at the start of the season. Hasn’t pulled up any trees so far but drops back in trip and should take care of the modest competition after a few months break.
If they run Double Ross and Real Milan have good chances, both decent jumpers and trainers have to be respected. The weather will be key the next two weeks.
