Kate and Andrew Brooks haven’t jumped ship yet as far as I’m aware. Not that they seem to have anything out of the ordinary now.

A jarring note on their ‘Race Tracks’ archive feature (quite apart from the Rick Astley track in the background.)

The spiel below the footage of the ’87 Scottish National stated it was Toby Balding’s Little Polveir. Would have had poor John Edwards choking on his cornflakes. Toby didn’t get the horse till shortly before the 1989 Aintree triumph.

Shame they don’t ask us old buggers about things like that.

I think Natural Law enjoyed funding from George Harrison.

I think I’ve heard the review panel sits for only 2 days a week which seems a huge shortcoming if this type of ruling is to be applied.

I’m not against disqualification in theory but this one hasn’t worked out well. Man of the moment Toby McCain Mitchell being the beneficiary for going just the two over.

I question the need for this sort of race on a major card. Conditionals seem to get plenty of opportunities.

So Patrick deserts Nick Rockett for Grangeclare West and Tom Bellamy is snapped up for Nick Rockett.

I find it hard to see the upside in either of the arrangements.

Nick Rockett not pleasing at home it seems.

I’ve backed Bellamy’s rides a few times and it’s been a very unhappy tale. Eclair Surf sadly lost, Broadway Boy somehow living to tell the tale and two other falls on his most recent forays. FFFF takes a bit of doing over the ‘brush hurdles’.

In doing so they have ignored the advice of their civil servants and not considered the evidence sufficiently.

This tends to be what a cartel of so called progressives deliver.

Well done Mr Pullin. Had a very wet Thursday morning in south east Wales which could have easily swept to Prestbury but didn’t to any great extent. It is spring for goodness sake.

No doubt Willie wanted them to produce DRF type ground. Yeah let’s have a running on the spot type Gold Cup like the Ten Up and Davy Lad ones.

Willie needs to take a drop more water with it.

These programmes are a bit later then ‘Out Of Town’. It seems they were for Channel 4 after Southern lost the ITV franchise. Rewind TV are showing them.

From what I saw I’d tend to agree that it looked a scenario where you could feel imperilled.

Old Jack Hargreaves paid a visit to Appleby Fair on a programme made in the mid ’80s which aired the other day.I was a bit surprised to see a Marston’s pub in Appleby high street.
