3.00 Ascot JipcotIf they are not prepared to limit the number of horses running in the same colours to a reasonable level I don’t think any small concessions are going to make the race more attractive.
The curse of distinguishing caps being the only identifier for a horse ruins the look of the race too. Sacrilege to limit JP of course never mind his runners limiting everyone else.
Start with halving the prize money.
I don’t know if any theories have been mooted for the wonderful form of Lucinda Russell. I see her main base is around 120 metres above sea level so perhaps not quite high enough.
It seems the Irish handicapper has seen fit to drop him a further pound to 142.
Yes , just a momentary delusion on my part.
The ride on The Wall Park should have been the subject of an inquiry. Losing lengths at the obstacles is no reason to make zero effort to close on the running between them.
Well I did see Peter Glaze playing a course bookie on The Sweeney the other day.

1.50 Warwick MambonumberfiveA very quiet yard no doubt hoping to turn the corner soon. A lot of theirs are running like no hopers the thing in Bahrain excepted. Probably not the time for us to speculate on if he’s capable of decent form again.
Bear in mind he was still running off a higher mark yesterday than when he won at Chepstow. The reaction of the handicapper finished the horse from that point.
Perhaps he has had enough. A bit harsh to judge him on today’s conditions though I’d have thought. Still having to concede a fair bit of weight to some decent chasers. Josh did say going right handed would not be ideal. If his mark continues to plummet the lucrative world of veterans’ chases may be open next year.

Haydock 3.10 Killycarn.Yes, a walkover yesterday really but proved her wellbeing. Sporting connections might well give it ago and I think they should.
If there turns out to be a bumper entry for the Southwell farce, could he be balloted out ?
Given they wouldn’t have to wait a lot longer for the turf flat season, the Champion Hurdle must still be the intention.
