Most of these bets are from HKJC betting accounts. Unlike Japan, cash bet in HK does not bear the name of the runners. So, there is not much memorative value of the bets.
In this race, volume of the Win pool is 49.8m HKD. It is reported that over 46m HKD of them were on Ka Ying Rising, 5m HKD more than his last start.
His Win odds at 1.05 and Place odds at 1.01 was the minimum price so HKJC lost 12m HKD for him today.
It would be a “What if” situation for Wunderbar if he was not injured after 2nd victory over Ka Ying Rising.
https://racing.hkjc.com/racing/information/English/VeterinaryRecords/OveHorse.aspx?HorseId=HK_2022_H411Wunderbar took a 8-month rest for this injury.
By the way, Wunderbar just beat Ka Ying Rising by nose and short head in those 2 victories.
This 2yo race is now moved to 2nd race of the day, probably due to small field in Long Distance Cup.
But should this 2yo race a just build-up race for Champions Day?
Hugh Bowman now usually rides in Hong Kong, where no whip rule is in place. However, there is consultation on whip rule in Hong Kong for next season which starts in Sep.
“highly regulated and real stipes”
Some local punters think they are joke.
Look at No 12 Run Run Timing in the race on 11 Jun with replay and race info below. He was pulled up by Andrea Atzeni without any proper explanation. Even the trainer was surprised by that move.

https://racing.hkjc.com/racing/video/play.asp?type=replay-full&date=20250611&no=03&lang=engLocal punters believed that if local jockey did the same thing, he would be suspensed and have no chance to ride in HK again.
Luckily, Run Run Timing just ran again and finished unplaced. Otherwise, that would be more embarrassing.
Just hope Richard Kingscote will not learn these things.
The 3yo Dash may not be possible to be run on Friday as it would mean road closure at 5-furlong start on both Friday and Saturday.
Meanwhile, there will be 40 or 45 minute gap for last 4 races this year. This is because there will be 4 World Pool races in South Africa, which needs a longer gap between those 4 races at Epsom.
below is the interview mentioned in the report:
The interview was recorded on Monday.
HKJC today told journalists that Callan is eligible to ride in HK while Sanna is not. According to HKJC, there is no application from Callan for riding this Sunday.
Hong Kong Jockey Club Responds To Goemon Jockey Booking Rumours
Based on some reports in HK, Callan is not allowed to ride overseas runners on Champions Day next Sunday.
He seems to have no chance to ride in HK anymore.
General consensus from local reports is HKJC is too harsh on Callan.
Actually, Callan is the second choice for related connections. Their first choice was Alberto Sanna, who was once suspended for 10 meetings due to not taking reasonable efforts for his mount. He did not ride in HK again after that suspension.

It seems BHA is now looking into it.
Also, Seoul racecourse is actually at southern part of the capital. There is a subway station next to the racecourse called Seoul Racecourse Park.

There are 3 racecourses in Korea: Seoul, Busan and Jeju (outlying island).
You may check racing calendar below from Korean Racing Authority:

They run all races on dirt. Facilities look similar to the racecourses in Japan and Seoul racecourse had infield facilities for families.
Below is race schedule for their major stake races:

This should be one of the tweets making Callan in trouble this time.
This is not the first time for Callan to have trouble with Stewards.
His licence in HK was suspended 4 four years ago in mid-season stage.
“The key issue surrounds his conduct during a stewards’ inquiry when he was found guilty of careless riding, suspended for three meetings and fined HK$20,000 for his ride on Chater Pins.
Callan did not agree with that decision and made his displeasure clear while those in the room felt he didn’t respect the process or the officials involved.”
Possibly some strong words against HK stewards on that occasion.
Dubai Turf is next race for Romantic Warrior.
The connections ruled out DWC before Saudi Cup.
