I plan to visit South Korea next year, potentially in June. Whilst there I want to see some horseracing. It’s something I like to see in other countries.
Does anybody have any insights / suggestions?
Thanks in advance 🙏.
April 12, 2025 at 07:17 #1726961There are 3 racecourses in Korea: Seoul, Busan and Jeju (outlying island).
You may check racing calendar below from Korean Racing Authority:
https://race.kra.co.kr/globalEn/racingFixtures.doSeoul racecourse (also called LetsRun Park Seoul) has fixtures mainly on Saturday and Sunday, 10-12 races a day. visited this racecourse a decade ago. They run all races on dirt. Facilities look similar to the racecourses in Japan and Seoul racecourse had infield facilities for families.
Below is race schedule for their major stake races:
https://race.kra.co.kr/globalEn/racingPrincipal.doThe biggest raceday for them is on first Sunday of September which includes Korean Cup and Korean Sprint.

April 12, 2025 at 21:32 #1727153I’ve not been racing there but I have been to Seoul and I can assure you it’s a hell of a city. You’ll have an absolute blast.
