He must have posted something very unpleasant to have been hit with such a lengthy ban, albeit suspended. Maybe he is lucky to get away with no immediate ban.
The strangest thing, apart from the length of the suspension, is the fact that it could be brought forward if he does anything at all wrong in the next two years.
Never heard of such a stipulation before.
This is not the first time for Callan to have trouble with Stewards.
His licence in HK was suspended 4 four years ago in mid-season stage.

Based on some reports in HK, Callan is not allowed to ride overseas runners on Champions Day next Sunday.
He seems to have no chance to ride in HK anymore.
General consensus from local reports is HKJC is too harsh on Callan.
Actually, Callan is the second choice for related connections. Their first choice was Alberto Sanna, who was once suspended for 10 meetings due to not taking reasonable efforts for his mount. He did not ride in HK again after that suspension.
He burnt the bridge when he went up against the stewards a few years ago. Shame really as he had a good stint out there and did well out of it.
HKJC today told journalists that Callan is eligible to ride in HK while Sanna is not. According to HKJC, there is no application from Callan for riding this Sunday.
