Yes, Patrick the barrier trial
Don’t know why the horse was sold, perhaps Hannon knew he had a dodgy tendon.
I got the impression Hannon never really rated him. He was on the morning line a few years back and reeled off a list of his best 2 year olds at the time, he must of named between 8 and 12 horses but Peacock was not one of them. Other than Arabian Queen he got the closet to Golden Horn last season albeit over a distance short enough for the horse of the year.Nathan, Not a good news for Peacock.
He was retired today, just a day after changing stable.

I see Hughes is 6/4 now for that bet, you should of started the thread last week….
Will we see Peacock, I would hope so being by Paco Boy, I think he is tough and can still improve a bit, lightly raced but no one has seen him, the ‘missing’ posters went out after Royal Ascot, maybe they should of offered a reward.

Nathan,

I am afraid Peacock has been sold to HK.
Also, he suffered from tendon injury and should not be able to reappear soon.

I notice that Peacock clocked a fraction over a minute for a 5 furlongs run. Not a bad effort that, shame about the tendon. Lovely horse. You mean the barrier trial?
It is a must for every newly imported horse in HK to have a barrier trial before a race. Maybe that is a bit too much for Peacock.
Maybe a bit off-topic but I always wonder why the Queen sold Peacock. Did the Queen sell her racehorse to foreign places in the past? Carlton House was still under the Queen’s colours when racing in Australia.
