"Ohhh your so pathetic! I have some great and intelligent points to make but because you are not me and I am so great, I will call you pathetic! Haha! I am Stilvi, not a pathetic child like you! You fail to grasp POINTS like I do. I am a fantastic grasper of points – me – Stilvi! No point shall go ungrasped while I am in forums on the world wide web."
I love you stilvi, why don’t you love me back?

March 8, 2012 at 00:50 in reply to: Not Everyone Likes Wasting Their Money Betting In Handicaps #395278God your an awful whinger stilvi. There are some interesting races on tomorrow. Just because it’s a card with a good few handicaps you go ballistic! If your all about betting than I have no sympathy for you. I love betting in handicaps but I can’t find a bet at Newbury today. Even so, there are some I fancy but I’ll be watching the races without having a bet.
Really looking forward to watching Maurice Linehan try get the hatrick up on Tarvini. Also Always Waining whos in the National goes in this.
The veterans race has 10 yos in it and some pretty good ones. Niche Market, Fair Along, Ouzbeck…Very interesting race if you ask me. (I have a soft spot for Ouzbeck)
Mad Max in the next for the first time has preferable conditions for Neil Mulholland.
Quit your whinging. Cheltenham is 9 days away.
Is this your pathetic equivalent of a warning off?
Before you start slagging people off why not start by getting your facts straight – it isn’t a card with a good few handicaps – if it was I wouldn’t have raised the point – every race is a handicap by the bumper. Can you name another main Saturday card that has had a similar make-up? A card should be about providing balance a point you have completely failed to grasp.
Obviously, racing isn’t all about betting – that is another point you have failed to grasp. It is about being selective. If people are licking their lips at betting opportunities at Newbury then I suspect the majority of them will end up long-term losers.
As regards prices, I find plenty of decent priced winners of condition races and it involves much less effort. The problem is people delude themselves when they find a rare 20/1 handicap winner. In reality most will just hand it back and more.
Rant, rant rant. I hope you feel better now, ya big baby!

Great pic KF. He really is a looker, aye? He might win the Grand National Beauty Pageant.

giles cross for me to, seen as though beautiful sounds is no longer in there
vf
Sorry if this sounds like some aftertiming but Beautiful Sound is entered in the Welsh Natonal worth £45k in WALES and the Paddy Power chase in IRELAND worth €90k.
No way I would have touched an Irish based horse for this antepost. I know Chicago Grey is still in it but with 3 entries its dicing with cash to second guess Mr. Elliot.
Colin, I think you’ve found the nailed on value in the race. Slower ground and longer trip look ideal for him
I would not write Somersby off yet either. It does appear that unless he comes good here he will be set so see out the rest of his career over 3m in lesser company if he is to win more races.
Maybe he turns up in the Lexus next year. How would he fair in the mud?
What an interesting race, not least about who is going to turn up! There are plenty that interest me at this stage but its a massive ask to consider putting up money to back that opinion. Not many people know who is going to turn up.
Its a bit like Cheltenham where there is more than one race that many of them can go to. Sona Sasta would be of great interest if he was being aimed at the PP but with the ground at Leopardstown determining where Synchronised goes and the ground at Chepstow determining where many of them go its just impossible to work out what to like.
I reckon all the likely contenders from the Troytown will turn up. The winner took 90k+ from the race last year and it would be insane for English trainers to pass up an opportunity like that. I have no idea why Le Beau Bai hasn’t run in Ireland in the past 2 years. Definition of insanity if you ask me. Montan would interest me if I thought he was going for it. I think the longer trip will see an improvement in him, that or he won’t stay!
Question is….why won’t Groody Hill win?
If you make a bet and it is impossible for you to win, then your stake will be refunded RedRum77. Those are the rules of gambling. Anyone who bets Mon Parrain in the National is entitled to a refund.
Im sure you’re aware of that but hopefully others will be too.
1. Wymott
2. Sarando
3. Beshabar
4. AiteenthirtythreeSimples

Would be a good result for me boz. Have Wymott to win and Sarando ew. Took a cut at Tullamore Dew (win only) this evening though. He looks a stayer to me. Out paced in all his recent races and staying on like a half decent horse. He obviously isn’t a very likely winner but despite his age he is a second season novice and unexposed at the trip. He’s a pound higher than his mark in the Centenary and it’s clear how good that form is looking now with Divers and Quantitativeeasing going so well in the Paddy Power. He may not have the scope of those two (although he just as well might), he’s my dark horse (a.k.a. money burner!).
I don’t know why but 1833 doesn’t appeal to me. He could well win and has a decent chance after the Somersby race but not for me. Beshabar has run best over 4m+ and thats something that might suit Tullamore Dew eventually. Similar horses in their age and experience over fences.
EDIT:
Just watched RPTV….Fools rarely differ
Cappa Bleu is going for the Welsh National according to Williams
Sarando please at 16/1. Also Wymott but not backed him yet.
3/1 Mon Parrain = LOL
Killyglen again for me. I’m always (fatally) attracted to these horses who for one reason or another don’t seem to get around. I was on Noble Alan again today and the inevitable happened. Killyglen will look very over priced come April if he manages to get around. The other of my modest early selections would have to be Western Charmer and Sunnyhillboy. The former is 10 next year and ripe for Aintree. Will have to look closer at his jumping but he will get the distance for sure. The latter is the most interesting cause he turns 9 next year so it’s not certain that he’ll turn up. If he does though he will be tough to beat with McCoy on.
