Captain Chris
…Sore Point!
February 18, 2012 at 12:53 #392196Interesting use of the teutonic language but a doppelganger is often a malevolent incarnation of the original. Sprinter Sacre’s malevolence appears to be in the form of those unwise enough to back against him on all evidence seen thus far.
As to the stable lasses, I suspect they all had a private sweepstake on the appearance of the friendly stalker and the smiles are for the realization she has scooped the pot!

February 18, 2012 at 14:14 #392222Today is all about 1 horse for me and thats my Ryanair horse
Medermit
,if he wins i’ll be delighted but whatever he does today you will see an even better horse come Cheltenham as that course suits him perfectly,Ascots not his track!I’ve got a sneaky feeling
Mon Mome
will show his true colours today as i feel the conditions of the race will suit over at Haydock!
February 18, 2012 at 15:42 #392243Be careful, Alan King says Medermit more likely for the Gold Cup. And Mon Mome LOATHS soft ground. Believe me, I know. It cost me £17,000.
February 18, 2012 at 22:45 #392350I love the symmetry of this picture of
Ciceron
leading the field out for the ‘Betfair Hurdle’

February 19, 2012 at 13:42 #392453Looking at today’s card in Navan, maybe a future National winner could be seen. Bertie’s Dream ought to be an ideal type for Fairyhouse this year or Liverpool next.
February 19, 2012 at 22:29 #392539Gord i am enjoying the pics
Very happy with the run by GET ME OUT OF HERE coral cup here we come i hope he wins it
Who you think will win champion hurdle i am on BINOCULAR at 12/1 i think he can beat the fly.
February 20, 2012 at 09:10 #392568KF: Some very nice pics there mate and the horses are not 3 bad either

Shame you missed Sprinter Sacre, was extremely impressive indeed and despite me loving Al Ferof I cannot see this lad getting beat!!
Get Me Out of Here was very brave and looks a massive player for Cheltenham, will add him to my portfolio

Darlan must be a brave horse to get up so quickly from what looked a very nasty fall indeed
Will make them all go IF they can get his confidence back so quickly! Personally I think they could do with another run just for that but obviously no time left now!! Worth a dabble though in what looks a crazy Supreme market!Any thoughts on the lacklustre performances from the majority of the Nicholls runners? Makes Zarkandar’s win even more impressive I think!
February 20, 2012 at 09:15 #392570Also one for you to consider for your notebook:
The concluding bumper at Sandown Park on Friday saw a very nice looking field on paper BUT the one i nibbled at EW is from a yard that is still quite underrated and can look after a decent horse! If this one was ridden by a decent jockey he would very nearly have won!
Horatio Hornblower is the one to check mate
February 20, 2012 at 11:00 #392582Darren,that was the
Binocular
of old we saw brush aside my pal
Celestial Halo
for the 6th time,AP has a distinct way of holding this fellow when he’s on song and he was doing just that all the way round.Guaranteed a place at worst in the Champion itself and I can see him shaking up the fav!
GDC,will cast my eye over this ‘Horatio Hornblower’ at some point today,I.m currently snaffling all the 40’s and 38’s aboutHectors Choice
for Saturdays Racing Post Chase,he’s a major player at the weights, the forms solid and he once even gave weight to this ‘Riverside theatre’.Classy looking field should they all stay in!
