I think the executives, plus the clerks of the courses of Southwell, Kempton, Wolverhampton, Chelmsford, Newcastle and Lingfield. Should all be hung by the neck until they’re dead on the grounds of treason. It’s a simple solution to the A/W debate. We’re not Yankies, we’re not Arabs. We’re British, and we race on turf. Anything else, is simply not cricket old chap.

Nothing like Freddie’s injury, but I spent 6 months in hospital in my early 30’s with a career changing illness… Freddy will read this with out any shadow of a doubt.
Freddy, you have made me a lot of money this year. You have been on my special list of jocks who I want on my horses for a punt for the past two and a half years (in other words you’re EV+ Freddy). I can’t even recall you giving a horse I’ve backed a bad ride… ever. As the chances have come this season, you really showed what you can do.
This is so cruel, you were destined for the very very top. Keep your chin up Freddy, the wonders of medical science never cease to amaze. You have an entire, and very loving sport behind you. You will do great things in your life in the future, I’d put a lot of money on that fact.

Frankly, I’m appalled by most of the responses above. I don’t think I can continue to contribute to TRF when most of the contributors (and the Admin and Senior Mod) are so doggedly in favour of behaviour that I see as morally indefensible. Given the aggressive reaction to my opinions – which are heartfelt and in no way just agitation as some have suggested – I think everyone would be happier if I left as well.

Forgive my ignorance but if I punt an outcome at Bookmaker A then arb using Bookmaker B or lay on an exchange what difference does that make to Bookmaker A? As far as he is concerned I have placed a bet on an outcome and that is that, one of us will win the bet and the other lose. What I do elsewhere is absolutely none of his business. Or am I missing something?
No you’re missing nothing. In simple terms, he works for Corals, who make markets on things. He’s crying because sometimes people make money from them getting their markets slightly wrong. That’s the long and the short of it. If you do not want to lay the horse at 6-1, don’t offer it at 6-1. Someone who arbs to them, is someone who understands markets and prices. This is not the kind of punter they want, they just want mugs.
Their is no difference between your argument and that of the person who steals a six pack of Red Stripe from Tesco but says “they’re a big faceless company – one six pack won’t hurt them”.

I so despise you. You’re the one person who can make me actually log into and post on this forum. I’m a browser normally, but you sir make my blood boil. I think I actually hate your guts, even though we have never met. Your internet persona fits 100% with the absolute ineptness of the company you work for… You two are a perfect match. Coral are a joke, everyone knows it. Just give up on horse racing, it certainly does not need you. Ask any punter in this country who are the very worst book maker for actually taking a bet… They will say Coral. Stop gibbering about arbs and the like, your traders wet their knickers if someone wants £100 on a horse full stop. The opening poster is not in the minority… Anyone who has a bet knows that Coral are a complete joke if you are intending on wagering more than pennies. My 66 year old mother opened up an account with them, she only wanted to play bingo online bless her. She often watches the racing on a Sat, I told her a horse to back one week which won, she had stuck £30 on it, winning herself £210. A few Sats later I told her another one to back, unfortunately Coral would not let her place her £30 bet (£10 max stake). She could continue to play bingo and lose money… But Corals were scared of a 66 year old granny (for winning £210?), then stopped her from betting on horses with them as good as. What do you say about that Lost Soldier? Your company are a complete and utter joke. FOBTS & bingo for grannies are all you lot have the stomach for. How dare you come on here pouring scorn on punters, your company are a complete stain to the name bookmaker. The very worst without any shadow of a doubt.

I’m sorry that you’ve had a tough time with Coral’s website during the Festival. I followed up the Bonus Bank issue this morning and indeed there were some problems with free bets being credited incorrectly. As you can imagine, this was a very popular offer, so we’re sorry it was not delivered properly.
As to the website problems, these issues aren’t really my area, but I’m determined to get this betslip issue fixed for everyone. This “not able to add to betslip” bug is a weird one. I can’t replicate it, nor can anyone in the Stratford or Gibraltar offices. I have seen enough people on here, on Twitter and on other forums talking about it to believe it exists though. To help the investigation, could anyone having problems please DM me with:
– Coral username
– Exact time of problem
– Browser/browser version
– Screenshots (if possible)Thanks!
Someone with some clout from Corals? I’d like to direct a few comments to you about your company please. I was under the impression you paraded yourselves around as bookmakers? Your company is an embarrassing shambles, your traders must all of have had their kahoonas removed at birth. Trading standards should look into your company, and the fact that they will not take a bet… From anyone, except compulsive losers. Why bother being a bookmaker?? Corals should stick to bingo.
