October 31, 2016 at 16:29 #1269805Mass pile up 4 horses and he took a lot of the force from the horses.
October 31, 2016 at 16:32 #1269807Oh dear – that is awful.
October 31, 2016 at 16:46 #1269808Most horrific fall I’ve seen a jockey suffer. Fingers crossed for some good news.
October 31, 2016 at 16:56 #1269809As others have said, that is the most shocking incident that I can recall seeing on the flat.
It re-emphasises the dangers that jockeys endure in this sport.
Perhaps one or two of the armchair jockeys who we all know (not necessarily on this forum, but elsewhere ) who are constantly crying foul etc., over their perception of poor rides , need to review their moanings, and remember the struggles that these guys (and gals) put themselves through for our entertainment.
My best wishes go out to all involved in the incident, and hope that all the horses are okay also.October 31, 2016 at 17:44 #1269812Ted and Drowne okay but Tylicki and Crowley taken to hospital, hope all is okay looked very nasty

I concur with your other points but using this thread to have a swipe at what might be perfectly reasonable criticism?
If the racing media did their job properly there would be no need for armchair jockeys.
October 31, 2016 at 18:24 #1269820BBC News reports suspected serious spinal injuries for both Tylicki and Crowley.
Desperate news. Here’s hoping that prognosis is wrong.
October 31, 2016 at 18:34 #1269821Oh no; didn’t want to hear that.
October 31, 2016 at 18:35 #1269822Tylicki went by air ambulance and Crowley by road. Both gave consent to clerk of course for him to tell their families.
They’ve both had a superb year on the flat and this news is a huge blow. Fingers crossed we hear some good news in the next 24 hours or so.
October 31, 2016 at 18:41 #1269824Fingers crossed for both of them that looked HORRENDOUS !!!
And without casting aspersions I think the winner may have caused it!! But would have to see it again a few times before I was sure.

Freddie tried to go up the winners inner and Graham gibbons closed the door causing clipped heels,Freddie came down sideways and took a trampling but Jim crowley came over the handlebars so to speak and took a crashing fall on his back.Just hope their respective body protectors worked as it makes unpleasant viewing.
October 31, 2016 at 22:34 #1269867Desperate looking fall. I hope very much we hear some good news once they’ve been fully assessed.
