ZOME !
Credit where it’s due, well done for putting that up:)
lol..not as much as you I imagine.
we got a bit lucky there with the fall…but it seemed a gruelling race, he’d have had to be tough to win that I think, BJK I mean. Hope you didn’t panic when Drever was under the whip a mile out…
What I saw on Thornton was the Cross of St George not the Union Jack and I thought it was quite nice actually, made a fun change.
Perhaps we should see more of it after all every other country in the world seems only too quick to bring their flags out on such festival and sporting occasions. We only see it during the World Cup. One wonders if this is what’s wrong here with us is that a number of people seem to think it wrong to do so, thereby letting in extreme right wing elements to commandeer it for themselves.
Personally as an ardent Europhile I’d be just as happy to see all us Europeans, Irish included, waive the Euro flag myself.:) this bit of localised flag waving I shall put down to subsidiarity.

lol…I thought Queer Eye for the Straight Guy had got hold of him. Very nice Timmy.
Noting that Ruby Walsh has an awful lot more grey hairs than I do:biggrin: …..touch of the Grecian wotsit needed there…
Lovely to see Martin Pipe so joyous, it was quite infectious, and he even thought to land a kiss on Stuart Machin’s blushing cheek, surely a first for the delightful Stu.
Seeing Robert Thornton ride a winner was another highlight for me:)
you ? prefer the flat ? goodness I’d never have believed it judging by your posts FSL….lol!…but to answer your question, no can’t see past Teofilo as I think the race will cut up further and there isn’t much notable competition apart from Dutch Art. I might do Adagio e.w. for an interest, what do you think? I thought he ran well in the Dewhurst after only having the 1 run, so I’m looking forward to seeing him again.
p.s. just to take you back to the real thing for a mo:biggrin: …reading on Betfair a report that Alan King reckons it will remain testing on the New course all week – which is good news for us ‘Drever’ fans. We can’t let the other one win!!… best of luck with your bet – you’ve waited a long time there:)
Inglis Drever.
..that’ll put the mockers on it.
Thanks David for your reply and apologies for opening a hornet’s nest for you.
I just think that we all look forward so much to this Festival and rightly so, that it deserves pride of place on any forum and that all other discussion should, for a short time, have to fight it out for popularity with the main event even though it looks messy. As interesting as some other topics on at the moment may be, more to the flat enthusiast I would say, tucking Cheltenham away whilst looking a good idea initially, is stifling debate and the general vibrancy of the forum which can be a touch pedestrian at the best of times.
I agree very much with what Happy Jack just had to say there but maybe it’s a bit late to move things back again now:)
Sal, just to chip in briefly I wanted to say thanks for such an informative post, even if others do not agree with some aspects, I found it interesting and most enlightening. :)
worth waiting for yes but it’s all over in a Flash [sorry..]
Imperial Cup tomorrow – Farmer Brown. Keep you going surely……Aintree…Brocklesby…
lol..you are funny Mike.
although I’d have thought "a pair of ladies tights" would be up there, cross dressing being all the rage nowadays.
..good for you Gilly:) ..you don’t want to be dealing with us plebs:biggrin:
lol…remarkably courteous there hopper…..not your usual self.
lol….you’re terrible.

Let’s face it, LL – this attraction could hardly be down to his boat, could it?
…hopper my dear old chum, I think he’s quite a dish actually and better than anything on the flat…but of course you wouldn’t know:biggrin:
hi BH,
how’s life at M and S or have you moved on since we last spoke ?
any Chelt tips for me? – I’m getting desperate.:)
"Tweed jackets are popular with the men, along with garish ties and socks, coloured shirts with white collars, coats with velvet lapels, yellow cords – all topped off with a flat cap or a trilby".[BBC report]
"The Trilby Hat is Spring 07’s must have. Every guy wants to be seen in one".
[fashion web site].
