Does Anyone know if a Novice gets a weight allowance in the champion hurdle? Just wondering if that would tempt Dungib or Menorah to take their chance?

Will wait until runners are confirmed b4 having a bet, but do not rule out donnas palm and muirhead. I think Mead has some of the best 2m hurdlers around.
Donnas palm was overraced last year, but ran HF close in a G1 novice hurdle, It may be that HF was not at his best as it was his first run of the year, but i think this horse is an improver, in much the same way as punjabi improved past katchit, as they got older.
I am on at huge prices for cheltenham, on both muirhead and donnas palm.

My antepost bets are based on the assumption the ground will be soft and a strong gallop all the way.I backed Madison last year
and hoping Casey Jones will do the same thing this year. In Denman’s Hennessy 07, madison was ridden way off the pace, staying on late. once they knew he stayed he was ridden more prominent last year. I am hoping the same will be true for casey jones after his strong finish in the RSA. Better going left handed and will love the english soft conditions (as opposed to soft in ireland).One i have backed at a huge price is Mister top Notch, he has been threatening to win a big race and with the presence of denman in the race, will only carry 10 – 9. I still remember the thrashing he gave king jhons castle, giving away 10lbs in 08 leopardstown (left handed galloping track).

we are all gonna need luck Mo thanks, still nanton may get a place because of his hold up style and if the pace is slow he may outsprint them all, but its a big ask, but i wish you luck with all your bets.
If you only do 25p ew, then it may be worth a go on times vital, bread to be a sprinter, but is a freak stayer, he has never raced beyond 1m6f, but his trainer knows the time of day, has good draw and ground will be fine.
aim to prosper will be ok but will still need luck in running, would have liked a higher draw. If i had to pick the winner now it would be fair along.

No matter who is riding them or what the trainer says, unless they can arrange a five lengths head start. It will be a miracle if any of them win.

Have been reading all your posts for sometime, here is my roll of the dice.
Have done Aaim to prosper 200/1 betfair win market, for the reasons outlined earlier, good analysis of his chances, but don’t know if he will run. I am assuming he prefers good ground when upped in trip, assumption based on the staying on fourth behind red merlin on fast ground 1m 4f and behind sweetheart at goodwood on good/soft (official ground description was good, but anyone who watched the race will know it was good to soft)Have done Alanbrooke at 35/1 betfair, his last run in the trial was a very fast time. The 1st and alanbrooke miles clear of exposed older horses, which gives me confidence that he will beat the older horses. Still a progressive stayer which along with the better ground will see him overturn form with yes mr president and nemo spirit and is getting 11lbs from darley sun from their ascot race, which i am hoping will be enough to reverse form. good ground perfect.
Will be backing fair along in running, depending on how prominent he is in the race, or how far back he is held up in relation to the overall pace of the race. 2007 123 leg spinner, carraciola won 08, fair along win 09?
