Quite like Gwanako tho despite the poor record of top-weights in this race. He’s a deffo runner too (apparently).
His participation no doubt ensured by he fact that he’s keeping weight off the same owner’s Poquelin?
I’ll be amazed if Ruby chooses him over the 2nd favourite thoughDecember 8, 2009 at 16:40 #262761Skipper’s Brig would be a bet for me at double-figure odds given soft or heavy ground. those at the head of the market look correctly priced.

Thanks Barker – great stuff!
December 9, 2009 at 00:00 #262877I’ve bet on a few, but Pomme Tiepy is the one I like best.
December 9, 2009 at 09:33 #262909Tarotino was laid out for the Paddy Power in November, and got pulled up, he never acted on the heavy going, which i think was very soft.
If the ground is good to soft, as forecast, then i think he will go close.
Gaz,i also like Tarotino but the ground has got to be too soft for him this week!I think there"s a race around Cheltenham for this fellow on Good ground over 21/2m as he can jump with the best of them!

Yes, Tarotino won’t run, the ground is too soft, pretty much similar to the ground that was at Cheltenham at Paddy Power meeting.
December 9, 2009 at 10:28 #262922There is no rain forecast in Cheltenham for the next 4 days, every chance that the ground will dry up sufficiently for one or two such as Tarotino, time will tell, but as someone said Cheltenham is invariably good to soft (perfect jumping ground).
December 9, 2009 at 10:41 #262924I might be forced to eat my words a bit!:

Mullins horses in shocking form at the moment but this is a drop in class and trip – the soft ground will help too.
December 9, 2009 at 17:11 #262971According to mullins pomme t is likely to run on friday, jayo is his likely runner, racing post website.

Eddie O Grady well backed.

December 11, 2009 at 19:06 #263400Razor Royale and Skippers Brig for me too. Both will handle the ground and have some potential from there handicap marks. Razor Royale in particular interests me. He had the amateur rider race won at the top of the hill last day so the drop in trip isn’t a worry. The hike in the weights is a concern but I think the hike only brings him nearer a more merited mark, not over the top of his ability level.

Doug, any one of those horses from the Ballymore that finished in front of "razor" would carry Top weight in this!Particularly Forpady and Trafford Lad! Both would be Fav too,so as you can see "Razor" is thrown in! Good luck!

December 11, 2009 at 22:07 #263439Just after looking on Betfair and someone has traded 17k at 10.5, Now some would say that is a bookies laying off some liabilities and i would tend to agree but would they do it the night before the race?…..I not so sure especially since the price has collapsed again from 10/1 in 17/2 in place
Sky the Limit is geting more interesting as i look at the market
