the Japanese have better stayers than you will ever have!!!

That’s why the Japanese clean up when they come over to Europe for the Arc is it?

First of all last time I looked the arc was 2400 mtr a’middle’ distance, not a ‘stayers’distance…Secondly the English horses don’t necessarily clean up in Japan in the cup either.Reason being Japan usually races on very fast surfaces and you have to get sunshine for that….

Dear old Jolly P. I love it when you pop up from down under with your 2 cents worth!

You are probably right – 5 lengths is not right. More like 10! He circled the whole field!

I backed him purely on the strength that, over these distances at least, there is a massive gulf in quality between European and Aussie horses, similarly in the US. To be able to send Side Glance over to finish a close up 4th tells you all you need to know. I hope for your sake Jolly we don’t start sending some of our good ones over!

Learn about reading a race Joni…You see he was back at the tail not spending much, Moore did the right thing in going forward to improve then grab hold with cover. He then went around them from about the 700mt or thereabouts.Um Moonee Valley has a lovely camber it really suits horses winding up out wide. Makybe Diva went around the lot of them to win the Cox Plate. You forget So You Think won the Cox Plate twice easily and he fared pretty well over there…This Cox Plate was the weakest in many years. You have sent your best horse over Einstein his name is Adelaide!!!. Now watch the Caulfield Cup the Japanese horse had much the same sort of run in that he had to circle the whole field along with the aussie mare Lucia Valentina and the Japanese have better stayers than you will ever have!!! That doesn’t make them 5 lengths better. My 2 cents worth will always be better than your £1000 worth of naïve ,no hands on horse experience  (Tick Tick Tick(sound of waiting for an inevitable Jonibake name calling one eyed childish reply…) :D

I reckon questions would have been asked if Adelaide had gone down by a neck after finishing like that.

It’s always hard to gauge the ratio of luck and good judgement in these things. Ryan Moore might have felt he was always going to get there but if another horse had had another little coaxed out of him by the jockey the result may have been different.

A good display from the winner and the jockey is my favourite currently riding, but I’d ease off with the master class plaudits because a jockey can only make the move if he has the horse under him to do it with.

Had Joseph come from the same position at the same time and gone down a short head, he would have been on the next cross along from Jesus in the aftermath.

Spot on if it was Joseph O’Brien and he got beaten doing that it would be the usual calling for his head. JOB is actually a very good rider.

Masterclass my ars#….Moore did as good a job as he could from a wide gate, he couldn’t do much else. Moore himself said the horse had a tough run.5 lengths better my ars# as well, getting carried away there. Moore is a very good rider when he is on but prior to yesterday had only had 2 rides in Australia 2012 and 2013 Melb Cup Mount Athos and Dandino absolutely slaughtered both. Adelaide should have easily won in France last start but Moore got caught up on the fence in a 7 horse race. He makes too many mistakes to be called the worlds best rider. If Foreteller or Sweynesse had the luck they would have probably nabbed him on the line after his tough run, but history will show they didn’t. I think Moore is a very good rider but misjudges more than his fair share. His first ride yesterday was on Bull Point in the Group 2 mile, sat back last until they turned for home ( 173 mt straight)flew for 2nd should have won.

Looking at the weather… they may have it right by watering a tad….but who knows. They should always watet to produce a good track.20 years ago here it was all about producing a fast track to run times, dumb…Horses jarred up badly.I think they may have it right but one downpour and they get it wrong so a difficult position to be in

True you have always had the rough end of the stick. Most British firms are buying up our online bookmaking companies, but win and ye shall have your account closed will never work here.Has been done but even the politicians here (like the world over bottom feeding opportunists) have been up in arms at this behaviour. All set for Royal Ascot fly at 6am in about 9 hours, 2 years since last there so interesting to see if the the bookies are fair or faint hearted.Obvious but the majority have to voice their disapproval at being treated like lemmings. The bookies that close the accounts of winners there are bottom feeding scum, even far below a politician, and that is saying something…

Not at all hurt SeaSparrow, just goes to show you know and respect a great trainers opinion above others, hope you do keep it up :D

I think you know all too well the real reason my signature, and that’s not certainly because I respect Moody’s opinion above other true greats. But, again you knew that already especially considering I’ve made it well clear what I thought of your laughable claim that the success of European-imported horses down-under is due to the superior training of aussie trainers rather than the simple fact European horses are miles stronger than your staying lot. And, I believed I’ve already completely dismantled that theory of yours, to which unsurprisingly, except for some puerile attempt at humor, you’ve never managed to reply back to.

Anyway, I know it’s been a long time since you’ve gone on one of your WUM crusades but I suggest you just try to repress that urge son. No need to ruin this thread. I still do not understand what Moody has to do with an Arc topic.

Dismantled my theory, you are talking complete rubbish as usual ‘son’ And you are way out of your league trying to compete with me on horse knowledge ‘sonny’ so go take on one of the juniors big mouth

If calling someone a cheater is grounds for a defamation lawsuit than everyone on this forum is liable to be sued by Godolphin.

Godolphin could team up with Aiden O’Brien for a class action…

Are you that gullible GT…It is called defamation! It wont only stand up in court but will succeed.Live in a strange country…I would have thought it was the other way around….We don’t get dictated too by an ethnic minority…No dancing, no ham, no Christmas celebrations, we are fine here mate; but I truly fear for you…

Don’t know where you get those thoughts from; ah well, may be I do. Mr Sky by any chance?

Wish you’re right Jollyp! If you can get a lot of money for defamation from someone calling you a "cheat". How much can I get from The-Ante-Post-King for calling me a "liar, fake, cheat and charlatan"?

Well it is happening GT, certain minorities are slowly winning the day…Unfortunately! As for TAPK re defamation…You would own that bitch…And the boat he is or was building…

Nathan calling someone a cheat without basis or evidence is called defamation…You lose in court, it is just common sense
It’s a bit different as they know their target.Say for instance if one is on a forum and faceless and they said something like Black Caviar was on steroids or inferred it, that is saying that they were "cheats".That happened a bit on here, then when the English steroid drama hit all those people went quiet and lost their balls….

What an effing idiot the owner is. Because the winner chose not to run in the previous 2 legs the obnoxious knob says the winners connections are cheats because his horse went around in the first 2 legs. Well guess what d#ckhead, they were smart and kept their horse fresh while you were greedy and going for glory…I know over here for comments like that there would be a large fine and possibly harsh disciplinary action taken.

You Aussies are a strange bunch. "Disciplinary action? Taking it a bit too far Jollyp. Your Cricket officials don’t think too badly about using casual racism to try and put the opponent off just before the Test starts. Yet Racing Authorities give out large fines and disciplinary action for this. :?

Only his opinion, daft one granted. Spur of the moment comment, not well thought out, one he’ll regret. Lady behind tried to intervene and stop him but to no avail. They’re no more "greedy", going for a historic Triple Crown than the winners are "cowards".

The racing powers have absolutely no control over cricket  That is a weird statement GT, has absolutely nothing to do with this or racing  He called them cheats…in a court of law he would lose a defamation case every day of the week!!! If a licenced person here called another a cheat with no basis they would be disciplined and fined, common sense! So are you actually saying the winners are "cowards" GT ??? A person with half a brain would realise that the winner was suited to the distance, their own F#@king business which races they choose to run in. If you are calling them cowards you are a disgrace! Was Henry Cecil a "coward" for not running Frankel in the Derby ??? No he chose not to for a reason, exactly the same thing here you one eyed small minded person.
