The wondermare Treve at this early stage is a best price 4/1. I quite like the Racebets concession of winning by 2 lengths or more which they go 9/1. There was a lot made of the pace of the race in the 2013 renewal where they went a crawl but I would be incline to think she could win by more off a faster pace.

February 12, 2014 at 11:02 #467848No takers for the 2 lengths?
How about the 5/2 to win three group 1’s? I would think she would take in at least three but if we think she will run the season unbeaten would it pay to just keep rolling the winnings from each race onto the Arc? I suppose it would depend on the opposition as to her starting prices.
Conundrum’s eh.

February 12, 2014 at 11:49 #467854I’d be a bit cautious backing her to win either 3 Group 1s.
A lot will depend on were she gets sent for her first race, I could see her going a similar route as last year going for the Fillies Group 1 at Longchamp before going for the Arc.
Connections will be keen for her to remain unbeaten for when she’s sent to Frankel sorry Stud! So will this mean they’ll duck and dive a bit at least until the Arc? We’ve seen it many times before were first time out a horse has needed the run and been beaten by a race ready rival…
I’ll be waiting to see how she performs on her reappearance and how the classic generation in this country and others perform before getting involved, so no doubt she’ll be 1/5 by the time I get involved
February 12, 2014 at 12:05 #467858I think you’re right Danny about the 3 group 1’s infact it seems silly thinking about 5/2 when the main aim will be the Arc and she is 4/1 at the minute just for that race alone, she might only take in 3 group 1’s with the Arc being one of them so 5/2 is a shocker price in comparison.

February 12, 2014 at 14:57 #467868Nath,
Treve
was a mighty impressive winner of the Arc,both
Ruler of the world
and
Orfevre
franked the form subsequently but if TAPK says she wont win,she inevitably wont win!………….I’m definitley not saying that about this lightly raced spring heeled filly who should improve again for being a 4yo now.Good luck.
February 12, 2014 at 18:00 #467882I’ve decided that although I’m happy with the 9’s for 2+ lengths I’m going for the Arc straight, I think 4’s is a healthy price and I’m going to keep chipping away Gord until you say she wont win, then green up on her in running 2 seconds before you…….

February 14, 2014 at 13:10 #467989Treve wins it. Grab the 4s

4’s is a very fair price, the only thing that could stop her is injury.
March 25, 2014 at 09:43 #473163More reason to back Treve now as the ‘2nd best horse’ Aiden O’Brien has ever trained needs quick ground and with the Arc being run in October what is the likelihood of that?
4’s for Treve have gone now and the 2+ length distance is now 7’s.
I think evens she’s wins the Prix Ganay is a good price as she’ll be fit enough for her to remain unbeaten as they will want an unblemished record with her, the only reason I have yet parted with any coins is that Cricket-Head has said ‘hopefully she will start there’.Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
March 25, 2014 at 11:08 #473168I’m not convinced treve will be able to repeat last years effort. It’s very hard to win 2 arcs back to back and of course we don’t know what the 3year olds will be like this year. 4 year olds like magician and ruler of the world haven’t had much racing and no doubt japan and Germany might have horses who will be very competitive. It also depends whether the top trainers target the breeders cup instead of the arc. Danedream never quite repeated her arc heroics but if anybody can do the double it is the head dynasty. I doubt very much that the likes of Australia will go to the arc. The breeders cup seems to be more important for a stallion credentials than the arc these days.
March 25, 2014 at 12:28 #473181I think horses like Treve, as with Frankel, only come along every now and again, so I doubt something that good will turn up this year.
I think taking 7/2 is as near as you get to money in the bank in this game. The only bookie offering that price at the moment is Racebets (although some of the major bookies have still to price up), and if she gets there safe and sound she won’t be anywhere near that price.
I’ve got accounts with most of the internet bookmakers, I only opened an account with Racebets during the festival as they were offering a straight uncomplicated £50 free match on your first bet. I had £25 e/w on Radjhani Express in the Ryanair, came 3rd but still full £50 free bet returned. They are still offering that, so if you don’t have an account, £50 at 7/2 is the safest bet you ever will place.
March 27, 2014 at 11:29 #473406I agree with BigG.
Also on the record of horses winning it twice not many of the winners run in it twice especially the good ones, Danedream as good as she was not a patch on the likes of Zarkava.Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026

I fancy We Are to give her a run for her money in the Diane. By the way, Just A Way, Timeform’s highest-rated horse at the moment won again today in Japan, but only just.
That said, Treve is still my Arc favourite for the time being. This year’s could be an exceptional renewal if everyone shows up.

See you are still going with the Moody quote SeaSparrow, glad to know you respect his opinion more than your own trainers…Plenty of them have said the same thing but glad to see you choose Moody ahead of them….Well done…
