IF I had been in time I WOULD have selected,
Tranquil Tiger 2.50; 500 win
Kasumi 5.40; 500 win.July 31, 2007 at 14:16 in reply to: Glorious Goodwood Tipping Competition – DAY ONE SELECTIONS #109848AAAArgh forgot to put up selections before first race.Doh!
As a teenager I had a recuring dream that I am sitting on the roof of the house looking down on my home town under 20ft of water. It was an apocalyptic scenario (obviously). Starting to think now that it was more preminition than dream.
It’s quite scary the freakish weather we are having in a part of the world which wouldn’t be known for extremes.Oh that O’Brien, a sneaky ****** alright!!!!!!
That seems to be the consensus with some of the preceding posts anyway. Personally I don’t see it like that. Enter two horses, one to cover each of the likely ground conditions. Good planning I call it. DT was always the most likely winner and duly triumphed. Skullduggery for sure.
I take it from the replies here that my own waistline is within TRF’s average.

FSL….. excellent stuff with Third Set, man he flew home. Hope you were on big style.

SHAWMILL York 2.40
Pardon the late post but I just noticed this horse’s price and it looks big to me in what could be an open Listed Handicap.
1pt win 14/1 Btfred
Well beaten in 3rd.

The stable form has been under a cloud. Signs of a turn around with 7 winners last 7 days. The selection was well beaten in a hot handicap at the July Cup meeting. Dropping back to 5fs today and with only five previous runs there may yet be improvement.
1pt e/w 16/1 Lads, Btfred.
Well beaten.

Leish…as in a dog leish.
I think they just showed on RUK ‘onefurlongout’ being escorted from Pontefract by two policemen.

Prufrock if I have been misinformed, I stand corrected.
Indeed Colin. The RUK ‘reserve side’ tonight for sure.
While alot of ATR annoys me, if it were to go the wall and RUK was the only dedicated racing channel, the loss of Irish meetings would be hard to take. Wouldn’t miss the Sligos and Ballinrobes to much but Leopardstown, The Curragh, Punchestown, Fairyhouse….big loss to our screens imo.Bizzare weather. The ‘lawn’ out our back looks more like the Everglades. Newbury gone tomorrow as well. Pity.
Max……go home…. it’s been abadoned.
I pay extra if they promised not to give me RangersTV.

GREYT BIG STUFF Newmarket 6.45
Last run, beaten 57Ls over 1m31/2fs in April, after pulling far to hard. Back over what is likely his best trip today and I can’t resist at a huge price.
1pt e/w 40/1 gen.
Well Beaten.

VALE OF BELVOIR Newmarket 7.15
This is her seasonal debut but hopefully she’s ready to go.If so with only 5 runs on the clock she should be open to improvement. 5f gd/fm look her optimum conditions and she looks to be fairly treated by the weights, by my calculations.
2pts win 8/1 Bt365
Well beaten.
