    Thanks all, useful link to the Jockey Club racecourses. I am still having issues with sportinglife website though. I enter my login for skybet but rather than displaying the video (as had always been the case) it just keeps coming back to the log in screen – Maybe it will sort itself one day soon.

    Having said all this, sometimes is better not to see how bad my selections on a given day were!

    Yeah I guess it was only a matter of time until that happened and I guess even the bet365 replays will disappear soon. Poor if you ask me as I don’t see why I should pay £20 for something that 5 or 6 days a week I cant watch live as I have to work like most other people – and all racing related websites are banned at my work!

    Booooo!

    Thanks Nathan, looks like I’ll have to get a bet365 account then!

    Monday profit is too high.

    Staked = 8pts
    Return = 13pts (American Legend 2pts win @ 11-2)
    Profit = 5pts

    Not the 7pts as noted.

    It was never in doubt! Stone last turning for home…reminded me of Whats Up Boys passing about 11 horses from the final Flight to win the Coral Cup at Cheltenham a good few years ago!

    Hi Danny,

    Couple of good winners in the first couple of days…and Rocket Ronnie looked like a winner most of the race.

    (Just beware of your maths, slightly overstating your daily profits at the minute)

    I too had been hoping the Stewards Cup might be on his hitlist as coming through late there can be possible. Other options I’d imagine are the Ayr Gold Cup. That’s September though. And if he happens to appear before then in other big sprints (such as a handicap at the York Ebor meeting) and he was to win…I’d wonder if they’d considering going for a group race like the Haydock Sprint Cup…I really think a fast fast pace with a good lead into the race would suit the horse…although maybe a Group 1 would be a shade too much for him.

    Jamie Spencer’s ability to ride horses into trouble on wide open racecourses is a true gift.

    Café Society on Saturday is the latest one that springs to mind lol.

    Interesting that William Haggas went to great pains to suggest how ‘gutted’ Graham was with the result.Not as gutted as those who knew he was the best horse in the race! :twisted:

    He also seemed gutted considering he’d just had a 1-2 in one of the biggest handicaps of the season! Atzeni gave the winner a peach it has to be said.

    You can pick loads of examples of good and bad riding everyday…and often people will disagree. Often its a case of you only spot the good and bad rides of the horses you backed…so if you never ever backed a horse with say G Lee up you’d probably think he never made a mistake as he seems to continually pip your selection on the line lol!

    Ryan Moore is probably the best around just now but if you’d backed Ultrasonic at Ponte last week you’d rather Paul Mulrennan had been on board :lol:

    These things fluctuate during the season with conditions and confidence. Graham Lee been high up there of late imo but then he faced a bit of criticism for Stencive on Saturday.

    I can let a jockey off with the odd bad one, its to be expected really.

    I think if Moviesta had been tracking through Heavens Guest he would have won. I think he’s a horse who needs a solid gallop and a lead to deep inside the final furlong…and unfortunately the pace collapsed as they were in the dip and he had to commit as Heavens Guest came on the opposite side of the 3rd Rene Mathis. Dont give up hope yet, there is a big sprint in Moviesta.

    Its based purely on price/odds. He may apply any of the factors you mention in determining that the price is wrong, for example, a drop in trip. If he used the same selection criteria everytime for making a selection then he wouldn’t always get the best valued priced selection.

    Dare I say (and no offence to Gingertipster) that he uses Gingers value concept but generally makes just one selection in a race rather than 2 or 3 :)

    I would rather Claire Balding wasn’t part of the channel 4 team. She still thinks she’s on the BBC with the way she patronises the viewers intelligence, or maybe that’s just how I see it. Nick Luck is very good, even a better tipster than the rest at the minute!!

    Listen anyone who takes any quote from Ballydoyle at face value is forgetting there sole aim is as a commercial breeding operation. Listen the Lads will always have the final say of where the horses go and any Group 1 win will boost a horses value when they retire. :)

    I think they do know a good horse when they have one, I just don’t think they are doing the best for each individual horse, as Sir Henry would say, I’ll let the horse tell me where to go, feel my way. God forbid Frankel was a Ballydoyle inmate :shock: . That’s where Ballydoyle are now getting it badly badly badly wrong.

    Nowadays the Arc seems to be throwing up the odd shock result…Or at least perceived shock results in the case of Danedream. Is probably why the bookies are willing to give Al Kazeem etc bigger quotes than you’d expect.
