I think United will win quite easily tonight, like yourself Ben I haven’t seen much of Olympiakos but their star man signed for Fulham in January what does that tell you?

Also they’ve got Ex United keeper Roy Carroll in goal who is bound to give his ex club at least one goal. I expect United will win 2 or 3 nil if Rooney and RVP turn up.

Awful news. Be interested to see where they aimed him at Aintree if he ran. Would they go for the Bowl or the Melling?

Would have gave him a few more days off and sent him to Punchestown personally if I were to run him at all again this season.

I’ve used Betbright, wasn’t to keen, I don’t have RUK or ATR and usually use Ladbrokes to watch the races I bet on. Betbright don’t stream the races live.

I also like a football bet and found on the particular night I wanted to place a bet, they only had the major games on and didn’t have games from League One downwards which I wanted.

Stan James going 20/1 on the old boy Sizing Europe, He may be on the decline but he could still run into a place and possibly better if Sire De Grugy has an off day.

Al Ferof is the one that currently jumps out at me from the current prices. Won the Paddy Power quite cosily, surely how well he comes back from the injury is the only thing that would stop him getting a place?

Also been looking for a price for On His Own can’t seem to find one, probably as he is unlikely to head to the gold cup but mullins ran Hedgehunter before and OHO has a bit of class about him winning a grade 2 hurdle, possibly the horse isnt suited to Aintree, another one id fancy for a place.

Another good performance by On His Own today, Mullins saying he may now miss Aintree to go to Punchestown for the Gold Cup. Think Mullins is going for the wrong Gold Cup, I’d really fancy him if he were to head to Cheltenham.

I don’t see what the fuss is about, majority of people will still call it the Reynoldstown.

At the end of the day it is what it is, which is a trial race.

No owner ever buys a horse and thinks I want to win the Reynoldstown….

Ajax look in some trouble sadly Darren. Best of luck with Shaktar though!

Not had a bet on the Competition and not checked prices and stuff but I fancied Napoli in the CL so think they’ll go far here to. Think the Italian teams hold all the cards, expect Juventus, Lazio and Fiorentina all to get to the latter stages to.

Watched the Spurs game earlier as entertaining as it was it was like watching schoolboy football all running one way then the other. Can see why Liverpool were after the ‘Headless Chicken’ Koplyanka thought he played well looked sharp and skillfull!

Like Barca last night, Arsenal are a stupidly BIG price today at 4/1.

I’m normally no lover of Arsenal and on the face of it they are arguably up against the best side in Europe possibly the World. THe first 10-15 mins will be crucially, having watched the two games against Liverpool they were 4-0 down after 20 mins in one and could have been 2 or 3 down in the other. If they ride out the early storm I think they can go on to win the game.

Their at home which is a positive, Ribery and Shaqiri are both out for Bayern they will miss both of them and another thing to take into consideration is Arsenal have a trio of German players in Mertesacker, Podolski and Ozil who will be wanting to put in a performance. Added to that Wilshere is set to return and Giroud had a bit of a rest at the weekend to so should be relatively fresh.

I’d rather be on Arsenal at 4/1 or even the draw at 3/1 than Bayern at 8/11.

Milan are also to big at 5/2 I’m expecting a stellar performance from Balotelli tonight and can see them going into the second leg with an advantage.

I’m backing High flying Leicester away to Forest at 13/8, the treble pays 45/1 fill your boots!

I’ll start this posy by saying City are a very good team, but the 7/4 available with Betfred for Barca to win tonight is HUGE in my opinion.

I’ve backed them in a treble with PSG (6/5) and Derby (also 6/5).

First Football Acca i’ve had come in, in a while! Paid just over 12/1!

Thought Barca were a bit lucky as good as they were prior to the sending off their was little end product, they seem to try to score the perfect goal. I remember thinking the same when they played Utd a few years ago. Poor decision to play Demechellis who was the clear weak link.

I’m a bit perplexed as to why Kauto Stone is entered he surely won’t see this trip out? He looked out on his feet over 2 and half last time out, albeit he did go off like the clappers. It would be a good story with him being half brother to Kauto Star but you can’t help think their is a better race somewhere out their at one of the 3 festivals which he has more chance of winning.

As much as I like Tidal Bay a part of me does hope a younger horse wins this year, winning the National seems to becoming a bit of a jinx. With the previous two winners not turning up the next year for various reasons, I’d love to see another dual winner, who was the last one? I know Comply or Die went close.

I don’t buy into all ‘this Barcelona team is the worst in years’ coming from Mourinho. They may no longer be the best in Europe but they are still a very, very good side who happen to have the best player in the world in their team.

City’s home form is good but they’ll miss Aguero and they don’t look as unbeatable as they did a few weeks ago. They were lucky at home to Liverpool, they then stuggled to beat Palace and were eventually beaten by Chelsea. If that Chelsea side can beat City the Barcelona side turning up tonight also can.

I’ve backed them in a treble with PSG (6/5) and Derby (also 6/5).

With UDS now looking an Unlikely runner, it leaves us with:

    Hurricane Fly
    The New One
    My Tent Or Yours
    Our Connor
    Jezki
    Melodic Rendezvous
    Ptit Zig
    Grumeti
    Thousand Stars
    and possibly Annie Power.

    So who makes the running?

I was surprised JP didn’t put Captain Cee Bee in here the only conclusion I came to was that their going to use Jezki.

With Scenario A being it sparks some improvement or Scenario B he at least ensures a good clip for MTOY.

The only other one I could see wanting to make the running is Thousand Stars is that why he’s in their?

Their was some promise in Portrait King’s run last time out not sure if they’d send him over again but he won the previous renewal in 2012. I’d give him a chance if they send him for this.

    I’ve backed

    Baile Anrai

@ 14/1, ran a solid race last time, don’t think they’d send him here if he wasn’t fully over his last run and the stable is in good form at the minute. Can see him getting at least a place.

Bury Parade is a good horse but he’s a bit short for my liking, I know he ran fine last time out but with him Refusing to Race the run prior to that I’d be a little bit cautious.

Rajdhani Express is a festival winner and has to be respected, if he takes to the trip could take some stopping even with top weight.

I like Planet of Sound and he’s probably the classiest horse in terms of quality in the field but the rise in the weights for the last win, won’t help and I don’t think he’s good as he once was.

If Jump City hadn’t run so poorly last time I’d fancy him but that run is off putting and surely Nicholls other two look more likely.

It’s not a hurdle but if Ryan Hatch gets on Tour Des Champs get the money down!

I’ve backed Irving so hoping he wins doing handstands, however their is a few interesting ones also entered.

As you mention First Mohican has to be feared, as does his fellow former flat runner Mijhaar who really impressed me first time out but was disapointingly beaten when falling last time out, I thought perhaps the heavy ground didn’t entirely suit but conditions likely to be the same at Kempton so maybe a negative for him.

Garde La Victoire is a good horse who is maybe just below top qualtiy, he could give the others plenty to think about. Don’t know much about the O’Neil horse Vaihau (French Import?) but couldn’t rule him out either yet.

A race i’ll watch and hope Irving wins and uses as a stepping stone to the Festival.
